Dans la forêt de Haute-Sève un rocher à la forme étrange et attirante se détache de la végétation qui l'entoure. Le visage d'un être ancien semble émerger du sol.
Taken back in May, and to be honest, I've no idea as to what it was, not a clue, but the points of light were extremely tiny. Definitely a macro, just wish I could remember 'a macro of what'!

La Mina La Mejicana es una mina aurÃfera ubicada en el Cerro Famatina a 4.600 msnm (General Belgrano) a 34 km de la ciudad de Famatina en la provincia de La Rioja, Argentina.
Para transportar la gran cantidad de mineral hacia Chilecito se construyó lo que para la época era una de las mayores obras de ingenierÃa del mundo, el Cablecarril que fue terminado en 1905 con una longitud de 35 km y en la actualidad forma parte de los monumentos y lugares históricos de la Argentina.

Formado en un antiguo granero que formaba parte de la catedral, este museo exhibe una pequeña colección de carruajes que pertenece a la Fundación Eugénio de Almeida (que gestiona Casas Pintadas y el Centro de Arte y Cultura cercano). Los vehÃculos fueron utilizados por una familia aristocrática a finales de 1800 y principios de 1900, y todos fueron importados de toda Europa. Tirados por caballos, eran el medio de transporte más lujoso antes del automóvil.

Puerta Sur Angkor Thom-Siem Reap-Camboya.
Angkor Thom está ubicada al lado del rÃo Siem Reap y se halla fortificada por una muralla que, formando un rectángulo de 9 km2 (es decir 3 km por lado), se orienta hacia los puntos cardinales. Su nombre significa "Gran Ciudad" y se mantuvo como capital desde 1181 al menos hasta el siglo XVII.
La puerta sur de Angkor Thom es la puerta de entrada más frecuente al templo debido a su disposición ya que enlaza directamente con la carretera que vá a Angkor Wat.
La Puerta Sur está representada por 4 cabezas cada una en dirección a los 4 puntos cardinales representando a divinidades como Brahma (dios hindú), la cara del rey considerada otra divinidad también se encuentra representada en esta puerta al igual que Buda. En la parte inferior se pueden ver varias figuras de Erawan (elefante sagrado)
Todas las entradas son precedidas por un puente que cruza el canal que rodea la ciudad. Cada puente está custodiado por dos filas de figuras gigantes que empujan unas enormes nagas. A la izquierda los dioses y a la derecha los demonios luchando para crear el primigenio Mar de Leche.

Buckfast Abbey forms part of an active Benedictine monastery at Buckfast, near Buckfastleigh, Devon. Buckfast has been home to an abbey since 1018. The first Benedictine abbey was followed by a Savignac (later Cistercian) abbey constructed on the site of the current abbey in 1134. The monastery was surrendered for dissolution in 1539, with the monastic buildings stripped and left as ruins, before being finally demolished. The former abbey site was used as a quarry, and later became home to a Gothic mansion house.
In 1882 the site was purchased by a group of French Benedictine monks, who refounded a monastery on the site, dedicated to Saint Mary. New monastic buildings and a temporary church were constructed incorporating the existing Gothic house. Work on a new abbey church, which was constructed mostly on the footprint of the former Cistercian abbey, started in 1907. The church was consecrated in 1932 but not completed until 1938.
Buckfast was formally reinstated as an Abbey in 1902, and the first abbot of the new institution, Boniface Natter, was blessed in 1903. The abbey continues to operate as a Benedictine foundation today.

The step-like terraces form as heated water moves along the Morris-Mammoth Fault. The hot water carries dissolved calcium and bicarbonate to the surface of the terraces where pressure lessens. Carbon dioxide then escapes as gas and the carbonate combines with calcium to precipitate as travertine

Well... It looks like a Common Candy-striped spider, but seems to lack the dark terminal ring on the first tibia, So it may be some other Comb-footed Spider like Enoplognatha latimana - redimita form.
But it seems from the little bit of research I've done, the redimita form Enoplognatha ovata lack that dark terminal ring... All very confusing.

Cómo se forman los azulejos
La edad geológica de Gran Canaria se estima en unos 14,6 millones de años mientras que los Azulejos de Veneguera tienen una edad aproximada de 13 millones de años. Los azulejos representan alteraciones hidrotermales que se producen cuando el agua subterránea procedente de la lluvia alcanza las raÃces de un volcán activo.
Se trata de zonas que estuvieron próximas a fracturas o conductos por los que circulaban gases volcánicos y aguas termales en contacto con rocas calientes o intrusiones de magma. Estos contactos son los responsables de diversidad de minerales como son la allita, la clorita, la epidota y la caolinita que tiñen la montaña de colores azules, verdes y celestes.

Blurred, but still my best (most complete) shot of Barbara Hepworth' sculpture (plaster, 1958). Seen in the Barbara Hepworth Museum in St. Ives, Cornwall. When I say "complete" I mean to be as close as possible to the sculptor's ability to let the sea speak through her. The weather and light that day were very poor and I also was not well enough to keep the camera still. Yet, the formidable power of the sculpture will hopefully get through.
