After a week of record breaking temps or very close to it our weather is about to do a complete 180.
Severe storms are possible late in the day Friday.
A chance of rain had been forecast, but the morning turned out to be fine for a bike ride across the valley floor. What once produced bags of rice, now is paved and wired for water and electrical power. The town famous for handmade Japanese (washi) paper, Imadate, is at the base of the mountains on the left of the frame. In October 2005 the town merged with Takefu to form the combined jurisdiction of Echizen City, thus reducing the number of city offices and workers, but possibly expanding services and also qualifying for favorable budget and tax arrangements with the national government.

It was sunny and a lot windier than we had anticipated. Jen had forgotten her thicker jacket so she ended up a lot colder than she wanted to be.
Took this last week during a surprise early snowfall.
We're expected to get another 10cm of snow this afternoon.
Playing around with textures... On my Mac, the texture seemed a little more subtle. On another laptop, the texture seems rather harsh. Too much?
