I am supposed to be on my way to CamSur but I canceled it because of the weather forecast. I am so disappointed right now, I planned this trip last February. Who would ever thought of Typhoon in Summer. Climate Change! ..... my niece told me ... Ninang that's because of Global Warning!!!! .... hehehehehe.......

With the weather forecast at 22 degrees and 30% chance of showers, I went out after work with my camera. A gig had cancelled on me and I wasn't going to haul my stuff all over town without using it!
Had I scrolled just below the pleasant forecast, I would have seen the severe storm warning. Black clouds appeared and suddenly, downtown Toronto was underwater. It was a wet adventure.

The weather forecast this morning was not good with showers and longer periods of rain expected through much of the day. However there was a short clear spell expected around mid-morning. Taking that chance I drove round to Holford and parked my car in the village car park. I then walked through the woods to my usual spot for watching the red deer. On the way I almost bumped into a pricket who was on the path.
This picture shows the dominant stag taking a breather after a spell of patrolling his harem. I particulary included it because of the two crows perched on his back. All through the time I was there the crows were landing on the deer presumably to feed on any ticks or other insects they could find.
Scattered rain, lightning and thunder greeted me the next morning and threatened to disrupt plans to visit Bristlecone Pines. Local power was knocked out as I finished packing,
preventing me from filling up my gasoline tank. By the time I arrived in Big Pine, power had been restored.
.. we got lucky again, hardly any snow, some ice! all schools are closed!
