this weekend i found myself considering frogging my 2/3 completed forecast to turn the beaverslide into a 28Thirty. but as soon as i pulled her out of her ziploc i remembered, hey, that color's not toxic, it's cool! and hey, that beaverslide's not rough, it's rustic! and hey, you could have an FO sweater with only about a week's worth of work! oh really? SOLD. i have now finished the body and am about halfway done with one sleeve.

I was so happy last Wednesday when I looked at the weather forecast. Sunshine! Some good weather to come! Such a welcome change from the weather we had been having.

Needle size: US8 (5 mm) and 6 (4 mm) for the ribbing.

Why this sweater will be frogged: It makes me look like a line backer. I love how the bobbles look but they don't look good on me. Plus, this yarn is super warm, too warm for LA. I would not wear it.

What I learned making this sweater: I learned how to knit backwards to make all those bobbles a little more manageable. This is a skill that I believe will serve me well. I also learned I do not like to wear bulky textured knits because they make me look fat - but let me be more specific here - I am a very small boned girl. Bulky knits are out of proportion with my body type and look awkward on me. I love how they look in pictures, just not on me. I also learned (or reaffirmed) my dislike for the going-down-a-needle-size-for-ribbing philosophy. I never like how it turns out. Perhaps because I am a tight knitter? I don't know.

Why I love this yarn but hate the color: The other problem with this yarn is that I hate the color. It is boring Oatmeal. A color I cannot wear. The good thing about this yarn is although I have knit it into 3 different garments that have subsequently been frogged due to the ugly color/unsuitable sweater design the yarn still looks nice and new. It is now being made into a blanket.
