I have two flower boxes on my window sill, where I planted some bulbs the other day. So far, the flowers haven't come out, but these two tiny mushrooms did - they are only about an inch tall :-)

Who said you can't use a 50mm prime as a bird photography lens?
I was celebrating a relative of mine and as I was standing in the porch to take a photo of the birthday cake, something came flying and almost hit the window. It was this young sparrowhawk landing in the flower box, just 2 meters away from me. I had no time to change the lens, so the 50mm that was mounted had to do the job. About a minute or so we stared at each other and I managed to get some shots before the bird flew away.
. . bring May flowers.
Yes - I am very much looking forward to turning the page on my calendar. It has been a very long cold winter.
Talking to a contact last night, brought back thoughts of a cruise I took in 2010. I didn't have a decent camera, but still, this trip is what sparked my interest in photography full time. You might say it created the monster that I have become with a camera. So since I am creativity depleted again, lol, I'm going to revisit some of those stowed away images and bring them to life, throw a few of them out there, from time to time. That is, if you guys don't mind seeing images out of proper perspective and proper depth of focus and generally photographic scrap. It's good to visit one's past to see if the present has yielded some improvement.
