Cool weather is here, many flowers are gone, tho maybe this flower box was empty even in summer this year. The old historic town of Mt. Holly needs a little sprucing up......but could the colors be any prettier!

This is part of a large addition that I am making to my Bay View album. Bay View is a community of summer cottages near Petoskey, Michigan. Most of these additional photographs are highlighting the great number of porch styles in the community. Taken on an drizzling, overcast day near evening. The flower planters on porch bannisters highlight this one.
And as Gina said under my “Seven Up” porch, the houses in this community are “all-American”, not a cookie-cutter in the place. Available at 17-robert-carter.pixels.com in the “Bay View” collection.
A house in the Swiss village of Segnas, Canton of Graubünden.It is known for its beautiful houses. This one has some nice woodcarvings on the door and letterbox.
The flower boxes and multi-colored posts and railings help dress up this porch in the Bay View community near Petoskey, Michigan. The bannister posts at the porch’s ceiling level should also be noted. Bay View sits overlooking Lake Michigan's Little Traverse Bay which can be seen here just past the tennis courts. Sitting below this porch and before the tennis courts is the busy U.S. 31 Highway. Guests and owners in this community are allowed to occupy these homes only during the summer months. It is modeled after the Chautauqua community of New York State.

I love a window flower box and ones with geraniums always remind me of the Mediterranean. Saw these walking the streets of South Melbourne on my way to meet the Famous Flickr Five+ group yesterday morning.
I just love the way the ridges show on that circle above the window,
For years I used lifesaver candies for the windows, no I do them with gelatin, I thing they are just perfect for windows,
Clue, they are many of those windows.

At a local farm . . . had a few minutes this morning for a visit and was fortunate enough to be shown around by the owner. Hope to return often to take more shots.
