Petunias (Patio area)

Flowerbox on the front porch. This is a mostly shaded area, so I filled the boxes with shade loving plants. Begonias, New Guinea Impatiens, Coleus and an interesting spiky houseplant for good measure.

A city with such a mixed history.

Yeah, leave it to me to play tourist the busiest weekend for Gettysburg. The 144th anniversary of the Battle was held this weekend. It was such a beautiful day I had to go downtown and take pictures.

Katie made this cake with real flowers, crushed oreos for dirt, pirouette cookies for the "bamboo" box and a chocolate-peanut butter frosting.
