Do Kiwi birds eat Kiwi?
According to Google the answer is "No". But the world would make so much more sense if they did.
October 2023: A month in 31 pictures
A bunch of artificial roses captured with Lensbaby Sol 45 and macro filter.
These are some buttons I have collected over the years but most of them were purchased to be used as kids crafts. I have had some thoughts about doing some button art - where you make images using certain colours of buttons to form your picture and hot glue them to a canvas or card stock. Perhaps I will try making something when I can find some time (haha!).
I had all of the buttons out for my Macro Mondays shot today and thought I would just dump them out for a "fill the frame" kind of shot (because I really seem to like those kind of photos) :D
I hope you all had a great day!
These are Honey Locust leaves. Around here, they're the first leaves to fall, and they collect like snow drifts. Since I started using shadow boxes, I thought....hmmmmm.
I just had surgery so I can't lift anything heavy these days, so I can't set up my usual lighting. So I used real, genuine window light. Unfortunately, this was later in the day so there wasn't a great deal of window light. And since I can't use a tripod (same problem), I couldn't shoot with longer shutter speeds to reduce the noise. But Topaz solved that problem.

At a loss as to what to shoot again today. I seem to like shooting blueberries lately, and usually have some in the fridge, so why not? I seem to also like fill-the-frame and close up shots. :)
Happy Friday to all! I hope you have a great weekend.
CC Most Versatile - the Color White
Delicate white flowers with bits of red sprinkled with raindrops.
For 27 years, I worked at a university and never was a clock watcher. But I can well remember my job for four years in college, where I was wishing for the clock hands to speed up!

And dust ;-) Detail of an old Opel Kapitän, taken at the German Museum of Technology in Berlin. This model is either a P 2,5 or a P 2,6 (sorry, as usual I forgot to photograph - or even look - at the description) and was built between 1958 and 1963. It looked very shiny and polished at the museum, nonetheless I wasn't surprised to see so many scratches and lints when I viewed it on the monitor. Well, dust is everywhere, isn't it ;-)
An image for Macro Mondays theme, "Fill the Frame."
A close up image of a yellow daisy with waterdrops on it.
Lit with both LED panels and a strobe set to its lowest power setting and defused heavily.
Shot using a Tokina AT-X 90mm f2.5 Macro lens & a Canon FD 25 U extension tube.
Another capture of my crabapple blossoms, this time in the sun instead of the rain.

I am filling the frame for the Macro Monday theme with hot peppers. I grow them in my garden each year and add them to almost every dish I prepare. I love the heat these tiny peppers bring. In the summer when tomatoes are ripe I make tacos or burritos and add these fiery little devils and the first couple bites can almost make me lose my voice but I adjust to the heat and am soon ready for más!
