Another one of my Cafe au Lait dahlia, this time with raindrops...no need for a water spray this year! we've had a very wet and windy summer and it's continuing into autumn which I feel should not have started yet!

if i wasn't using the tiny blue flowers for macromonday, this might have been the posting for the theme of "into the woods".
Definitely Dreaming - Week 49 Fill the Frame
Don't know about filling the frame, but I very nearly filled my boots with sea water :)))
A 1” Vinca flower that survived the past week freezing storm in the garage. This is the backside. Macro Mondays-Fill the Frame
Macro Mondays theme: Fill the Frame (with Plants)
I loved doing this theme as our house is filled with so many different varieties of house plants—almost too many to choose from! I found it difficult to choose between them (although now I've posted them both, I know which I'm going to choose). This one is a variety of Calathea. Trying to capture both the wonderful red underneath the leaves and the pattern on the top of the leaves was a challenge.
Always appreciate all your comments and favourites, HMM!
My Saturday was busy - I had to work in the morning and picked up some groceries before heading home. Shortly after I got home a friend popped over and gave us a flat of their fresh eggs. They have too many eggs at times and can't eat them all, just as we would at times have too much of certain vegetables from our garden so quite often we swap and share our bounty with each other. After my friend left, my mom calls asking what my husband and I were going to be doing for supper (the kids are gone and it was just the two of us home this weekend). I told her we were going to go out somewhere for supper. She was calling to invite us out for supper - her and my dad's treat. We took them up on their offer and we had a good time. I had to work most of this past week and didn't get a chance to go visit them like I would normally do which I think they enjoy and must have missed me this week lol. I enjoy this time I still have with them and appreciate them every day. ❤
I hope your weekend has been going well.

“Tu mano roza en vano mi pecho que se arroba;
Pedías el Ocaso; ya desciende, aquí llega;
y siempre: ¡vamos! A ignotos derroteros”...

Macro Mondays: "Fill the Frame"
One of my favorite snacks. This variety of apple is sometimes called a "pink lady".
This image is about 5.5 cm (2.16 inches) on the long edge.
The Feugo Disbud seemed like a good option for this weeks theme. Gorgeous deep bronze colours. Image is 2” long.
Real flowers are much more beautiful than plastic ones, in part because of their impermanence. People appreciate the seasons, the autumn and the spring, because the seasons are a process of change. Each season is a precious time. In this way, impermanence is beauty.

The theme for "Looking Close on Friday" for the 12th of May is "pebbles". Now, I have a very traditional cottage garden with lovely soft edges and meandering paths, but not a pebble in it! However, I am very fortunate in that my neighbours are currently doing some renovations to their home and gardens, and as such, had quite literally laid down a pebble path on the day the theme was announced! How fortuitous is that? So, I went next door and asked them whether I could photograph some of the pebbles that they had just freshly washed and laid down as a path in their garden! I hope you like my image for this week’s theme, and that it makes you smile!
