I made a huge tray of these today, and using the convection setting makes them crispy on the outside and tender on the inside. I just love them!

April 2025: A month in 30 pictures - day 21

A close look at one of the stocks from another reduced supermarket bouquet. I'm always on the lookout for bargain flowers...they make such good subjects when I can't think what else to photograph.

Apologies for being more absent than usual, busy times, I will try to catch up.

The Feugo Disbud seemed like a good option for this weeks theme. Gorgeous deep bronze colours. Image is 2” long.

April 2025: A month in 31 pictures

A busy day today (is there any other sort?) so I struggled to get a photo. Well, I did get another tulip shot but thought I'd better do something else.

This yarn is to crochet a unicorn blanket for my granddaughter. I've just finished a lion blanket for her brother and she loved it. I thought she would perhaps like a unicorn one...is there a little girl anywhere who doesn't like unicorns? I would say watch this space but it could take some time :))

This is my contribution to this weeks Macro Monday theme of "Fill the Frame". Keep safe and HMM

My Saturday was busy - I had to work in the morning and picked up some groceries before heading home. Shortly after I got home a friend popped over and gave us a flat of their fresh eggs. They have too many eggs at times and can't eat them all, just as we would at times have too much of certain vegetables from our garden so quite often we swap and share our bounty with each other. After my friend left, my mom calls asking what my husband and I were going to be doing for supper (the kids are gone and it was just the two of us home this weekend). I told her we were going to go out somewhere for supper. She was calling to invite us out for supper - her and my dad's treat. We took them up on their offer and we had a good time. I had to work most of this past week and didn't get a chance to go visit them like I would normally do which I think they enjoy and must have missed me this week lol. I enjoy this time I still have with them and appreciate them every day. ❤

I hope your weekend has been going well.

Poppy is a girl's name of Latin and Old English origin and a beautiful flower (Papaver rhoeas). This name refers to a type of flower known for its bright, delicate petals. If you want to help baby appreciate life, from the beginning to the end, the name Poppy is sure to brighten up their spirits.

I was reading the Pennsylvania groundhog Phil Punxsutawney prediction of an early spring for our area; that's good news. How about a poppy flower to brighten the day after that news?

Thank you very much for your visit and comments, very much appreciated!
