Fill-the-Frame with Food – Trail Mix

For this week’s Macro Mondays theme I have submitted this shot of Trail Mix. I was really struggling to think what food would look good as a macro, and with some colours and textures as well, and this seemed like a fairly good choice, containing dried banana, raisins, apricot and coconut.

Happy Macro Mondays everyone!

Lupin

I wonder who the first brave soul to break open a pistachio shell, look at the wrinkled green nut inside, and then dared to eat it. I'm glad they did, as it is one of my favorite flavors in ice cream, pudding, or just as a snack.

I thought the rich, red folds of petals in the center of this long stemmed rose was the perfect thing to fill my frame for the challenge this week.

WIT: The trillium is our province's provincial flower, and they bloom for only a short time in the spring. This is the first time I've ever seen them in real life! in post, crop to 8 by 10 and some slight colour tweaks.

I stopped at a market on the way home after work and these little tomatoes caught my attention. I absolutely love vegetables. I prefer eating a sandwich for lunch everyday and with it I like to also eat a bunch of vegetables like cut up celery, carrots, cucumbers, sweet peppers and, of course, tomatoes...lol

Thanks for your visit! I hope everyone had a great day!

……I’d just taken these golden flakes of onion out of the Rayburn, they smelt so yummy and I thought ‘I bet they’d look good up close too’! The perfect ingredient for this weeks Macro Mondays Frame Filling theme!! It was Roast Beef this week & I always add a few flakes to the gravy - delicious Sunday Roast. Happy Macro Monday to all on Flickr, each flake is circa 10mm & the whole image about the size of a credit card. Cold beef & Salad out of the garden today. Alan:-) HMM.....

Week 4: Fill the frame.

This week Miguel and I have filled the frame with unconditional love. An immense and absolute love capable of filling frames regardless of their size :)

This idea appeared in my mind, not only for 52Frames but also for capturing a nice memory for us. So I prepared the camera, the tripod... First I practiced composition and focus with a big stuffed dragon of my son :)) bit.ly/2O8gtlQ (just a RAW) So when I had everything ready, I asked Miguel to come and give me a big hug.
