@ 2117 on sawtelle in west l.a. on valentines day <3 don't think the photo does it justice how perfectly this piece of meat was cooked. the potatoes were creamy and the spinach was the best i've ever had.

Another great recipe from Steven Raichlen. This one was just awesome..... Do think it can belong in the better restaurant. We really liked the marinade of the Filet Mignon and the marmalade! Hmmm,.. definitely one for my book. ;-)

Kind of a fake steak au poivre. Used evaporated milk instead of cream, olive oil instead of butter, etc. Filet mignon also requires a bit more babysitting than I thought. But hey, I got it to medium rare anyway.
Recently, I bbq'd some bacon-wrapped filet mignon (a gift from Corey's dad), and we had it with corn on the cob and rosemary baked potatoes (http://www.recipezaar.com/Baked-Potato-with-Rosemary-8802). It was amazing! I was my own hero for that meal. We had it again less than a week later. :D
