Back in the air once again. After a 6 month grounding an MD11 lifts into the skies over Memphis. N621FE is the first of many MD11's that will be back hauling freight in the coming weeks.

A former United Airlines DC10 (N1832U), FedEx MD10 N397FE lands in heavy rain on Runway 27 at Memphis International on July 23, 2013. The tri-jet was removed from service in January 2015 and stored at Victorville, California (VCV).
Former American Airlines / Hawaiian Airlines DC-10-10 (N126AA) was converted to a MD-10-10F for FedEx in 2003.

The sun is rising in Memphis, Tennessee, as FedEx A300 N730FD is preparing to depart for Houston (IAH), Texas. This jet was originally delivered to Garuda Indonesia in October 1992.
Having spent the last two months in maintenance, FedEx A300 N749FD is in the GRE (Ground Run-up Enclosure) at Memphis performing high powered engine runs. This Airbus wide-body was oirginally delivered to China Airlines in 1989 as B-1804. Now it sports the new tweaked version of the FedEx livery.
Fedex introduced the 757 to its fleet back in 2007, and now they operate well over 100 of this type.
This particular frame is an ex-British Airways 757 that first flew in 1991.

LN-RKB DC-10-30 SAS. Left the fleet a year later - still in service with FedEx as N311FE (slide scan from my collection - not taken by myself).
Landing in Memphis on Runway 36L is FedEx 777 N844FD arriving after an 11 hour 40 minute flight from Osaka, Japan (KIX). This Boeing wide-body first flew for TNT as OO-TSC in November 2011.
First delivered to US Air as N612AU in 1993, FedEx 757 N903FD is parked on the comapny ramp in Memphis.
Originally delivered to British Airways, FedEx 757 N952FD is back in Memphis after a flight from Columbus, Ohio.
Leaving Memphis from Runway 36L is FedEx MD10 N397FE. First flying with United Airlines this MD jet came to FedEx in 1997 and was retired in 2015.
Wearing the "Panda Express" livery in 2013, FedEx MD11 N585FE is at Memphis International Airport. This aircraft was used to bring pandas to the Toronto Zoo in Canada.
