A mother swallow feeds her baby, in a frenetic and fast flight in which they are perfectly synchronized with a speed that is not noticeable to the human eye.
Summer now feels like it's on "fast forward" - days noticeably shorter, hints of Fall color in the trees and cool Fall fragrances come through, in between the waves of heat, in the air. This is a single, huge Common Sunflower (Helianthus annuus) with flowers showing all the bloom/life cycles.
This brook is swollen and fast-flowing after all the heavy rain and melting snow. Hand-held half-second exposure. Hollins, Bury, UK
Flux rapide.
When I just poured the mineral water into the glass, I saw how quick the gas bubbles went up. an ideal motif for Macromonday "fast"!

The immediate post Conrail split years were busy times in Cumberland, MD. In this scene at Mexico tower, an eastbound manifest departs the yard behind patched C40-8 7490, while an AC6000 led westbound, likely a Q137 or Q217, waits at the signal on #1 track. Light power that came in on an eastbound manifest is on the PPG lead and staying out of everyone's way while another eastbound is waiting on #2 main west of the plant that will follow east on 7490's block.

What I like about this picture is its colorz coz looool accuracy is definitely missing in this photo as I was in a moving car … (one of my oldie shots) =P
One from a while back at Tunnel Beach. A not very successful blend of fast shutter speed for the splashing wave and long exposure for the rest of the Pacific Ocean and rocks.
We have finally made it home after flying 1000 km from Auckland to Dunedin. If you have ever looked after someone with leg in plaster and non-weightbearing on crutches you will know I'm busy! :) Even though I'm off work on sick leave I am well enough to look after my wife they say.
Thanks very much to those who have sent their best wishes our way and my wife's ankle is getting less painful by the day only needing panadol at night now.
My thanks to Kid Deuce for the use of his hot rod image. His site can be viewed here: www.flickr.com/photos/80643375@N00/ Still working on digital painting of photographs.
