There's a small park below the access bridge to Merritt Island, and scavenging critters found "snacks" under the early-morning sun.
Der Schlosspark Charlottenburg wurde zusammen mit dem Lustschloss angelegt. Es war der erste Barockgarten nach französischem Vorbild in Deutschland. Heute ist es eine prachtvolle Landschaft mitten in die Stadt. Der Park wurde nach dem Vorbild von Versailles angelegt und folgt der geometrischen Gliederung entlang einer zentralen Längsachse. A trip back to Sept 2018 when we were 'hobos' temporarily, having sold our house in Bedfordshire with a two week gap before our new home in Alnwick was available.
Our final 3 or 4 'hobo' days were spent near Penrith on the edge of the Lake District within easy reach of Ullswater, seen here on a blowy day with a sky full of scudding clouds.
This little figure reminded me of George Michael so in honour of him I've named it after one of his songs. :)

Double-crested Cormorants are fast flyers and I'm usually lousy at capturing fast flyers. However, I had a bit of luck with this one as it flew by in Bear River Migratory Bird Refuge, Utah.
But even with 1/1250 shutter speed, there's still a bit of wing motion blur. Yep, that's a fast flyer.

Die ersten Fahrzeuge der zweiten Bauserie bekam der Betriebshof Dortmund im Jahre 2005.
Eigentlich sollten diese schon längst durch die neuen Pesa Links ersetzte worden sein, aber wie auch in der Anfangszeit der 648 kommt es zu anhaltenden Problemen die den Einsatz der Altfahrzeuge nötig macht.
648 104 hat in Brügge gerade Kopf gemacht und eilt nun weiter Richtung Dortmund.
A few months ago I was walking in a forest near the Naarderlake when I heard a lot of rustling going on around me. And then suddenly I saw a large group of bank voles running around, the first time that I ever saw that sort of spectacle.
But goodness how fast they were and how unpredictable. They popped up everywhere, but also they hid under leaves, went into little holes in the ground, and came up in a completely different place.
I felt like a predator not knowing were to look or on what animal to focus so most of the shots I took were awful. This is the only shot that more or less is acceptable. But what a treat it was to observe them!

I used a HiTech Firecrest ND 3.0 and am happy with the neutrality, I didn't have to make any adjustments during post processing.
