A1 Pacific 4-6-2 60163 "Tornado" approaches Wansford station on the Nene Valley Railway during a 30742 Charters photography day.
So this is the base version of my Ops Core Fast helmet, that will hopefully be available soon.
I remodelled it completely from the (unseen) original sculpt, so that it now looks in scale with the Mohawk version.
I can't wait to see these being modded and painted ; )
The last five years or so have seen an exponential rise in restaurant delivery services in British towns. Online services like Just Eat and Deliveroo have been driving (literally!) the change.
I think it is partly because of people’s lifestyles. Britons work longer hours on average than any other European nation, and I don’t think that is necessarily a good thing. With both partners in a couple having to work to pay for the high accommodation charges they often have little time or energy in the evening to plan, prepare food, cook and wash up. The answer is to order in.
Towns like Cambridge are awash with delivery drivers on bikes, scooters and small electric vehicles like this Eskuta, which is cheap and doesn’t require a licence or the wearing of a helmet (effectively it’s an electrified bike).
This image was taken on that day in July when I was having a go at street photography and panning shots. The hot food is in the back, and the phone on the handlebars is providing the destination address and map. I love the intense commitment in the expression...
For my 100x project on Motion.
Thank you for taking the time to look. I hope you enjoy the image. Happy 100x (and weekend!) :)
Forgive me in this quick Downtown time lapse is the first one I do.

You got a fast car
I want a ticket to anywhere
Maybe we make a deal
Maybe together we can get somewhere
Any place is better
Starting from zero got nothing to lose
Jimmy spilled his drink
In his new shiny hotrod
Because red is fast
It's a fast hotrod... thing. And yes, I did write a shitty haiku for it.
If you push the car's console forward, it pops the hood so you can check out the engine! (The console is to the right of Jimmy)
So I've continued with building non-mecha for a change. And it has not a single gun!
I'm very happy with the way this thing turned out. This was the first time I've used cut flex tubing, so that was interesting.
Rosie is not a happy walker so we finally succumbed and bought an old bike trailer in order to go for longer walks with her.
A westbound tank train on the Harbor Belt was quickly rolling through Calumet Park on bland day around Chicagoland. A quirky NRE 3GS21C was in charge and was moving at an unusually quick pace.
Just a simple roster shot of a brace of C40-8s tied down on the South Track and idling away in a snow squall sitting just west of the Groton-Harvard Road crossing at MP 35.5 on the Keolis/MBTA Fitchburg Route mainline.
These three units graphically illustrate the changing times in New England as all three are former Pan Am Railways units, part of a group of 30 ex CSXT C40-8s (24 standard cab and 6 wide cab)acquired by Pan Am in 2017 in a deal brokered by GE. With the sale of Pan Am to CSXT effective June 1, 2022 they all once again became the property of their former owner. Finally after a protracted delay Genesee and Wyoming's newly created Berkshire and Eastern Railroad began operating the former Pan Am Southern property as a neutral third party on behalf of 50/50 parents Norfolk Southern and CSXT.
Consequently 10 of the remaining C40 variants were transferred to the new startup including the three here. Most were quickly patched with mee BERX reporting marks and the Pan Am Railways or legacy CSXT logos were painted over. Interestingly while BERX 7518 lost her Pan Am lettering and logo on her hood she kept her Pan Am globe nose logo. Why? I have no idea but it sure does make for an interesting marker in time that will assuredly not last as the Pan Am image fades from the New England rail scene.

My thoughts are with the people of L'Aquila.
*** This was another of my first macros (I took it last year). The panning is not perfect because I don't have a tripod, but I still quite like the shot.

A mother swallow feeds her baby, in a frenetic and fast flight in which they are perfectly synchronized with a speed that is not noticeable to the human eye.
