Das Kaiserin Elisabeth Denkmal befindet sich im Wiener Volksgarten. Es ist ein Marmordenkmal von Hans Bitterlich, gewidmet der Gemahlin Kaiser Franz Josephs, die 1898 einem Attentat in Genf zum Opfer gefallen ist. Das Gebäude im Hintergrund ist das Wiener Burgtheater. Die Kinderskulpturen sind beim seitlichen Brunnen zu sehen.

The Empress Elisabeth Monument is located in Vienna's Volksgarten. It is a marble monument by Hans Bitterlich dedicated to the wife of Emperor Franz Joseph, who fell victim to an assassination attempt in Geneva in 1898. The building in the background is the Vienna Burgtheater ('castle theatre'). The children's sculptures can be seen at the fountain on the side.

An welch kleinen Dingen man sich doch erfreuen kann. Ich hatte die Hoffnung schon aufgegeben, dass meine Schachbrettblumen wachsen. Nach dem meine Schneeglöckchen leider nicht ausgetrieben sind, konnte ich es gestern nicht fassen zwei kleine Pflänzchen zu entdecken. Mitten im hohen Gras, gerade noch vor dem ersten Rasenschnitt haben sich die Blütenknospen gebildet.
Sind schon gespannt was als nächstes zum Blühen beginnt.

After the my snowdrops unfortunately not exorcised, I could not believe yesterday two small plantlets to discover. In the middle of the tall grass, just before the first lawn cut, the flower buds have formed.
We are already curious what will start flowering next.
At six o'clock in the morning it's still quiet on the Rur river in the Eifel. Enough time to look for motifs and take photos.

Mit zierlich nickenden Glockenblüten dekoriert die Schachblume im Frühling naturnahe Feuchtwiesen, den Bachlauf und Teichrand. In freier Natur ist die Zwiebelblume mit dem purpur-weißen Schachbrettmuster nur noch selten zu entdecken.
Aufgenommen im Steingarten des Berggartens in Hannover.

KTP | Botsuana
We took the Kaa Wilderness Trail in the northern part of the KTP. There is a spot, where the track goes right over a big area... with dozens of Meerkat holes. Turn of your vehicle, be quiet and patient.
It took a good 20minutes, till the Merrkats came out, one by one.

Das Wiener Burgtheater ist eine der bedeutendsten Bühnen Europas. Es liegt gegenüber dem Rathaus an der Wiener Ringstraße und wurde von Gottfried Semper und Karl Freiherr von Hasenauer von 1874 bis 1888 in den Formen der italienischen Hochrenaissance erbaut. Die Innenausstattung weist eine üppig barockisierende Ausstattung auf. In Wien wird das Theater kurz "die Burg", die Ensemblemitglieder "Burgschauspieler" genannt.

Vienna's Castle Theatre is one of the most important theatres in Europe. It is located opposite the Town Hall on Vienna's Ringstrasse and was built by Gottfried Semper and Karl Freiherr von Hasenauer from 1874 to 1888 in the Italian High Renaissance style. The interior features lavish baroque furnishings. In Vienna, the theatre is called "the castle" for short, the ensemble members "castle actors".
Sie saß nicht ganz frei vor der Linse, aber recht dicht vor mir und suchte am Teichufer nach Nahrung. Recht ungewöhnlich, sonst sind sie immer im Schilf zu entdecken Beim reinzoomen sind noch mehr Details zu erkennen.
It was sitting not quite free in front of the lens, but quite close to me and was looking for food on the pond bank. Quite unusual, otherwise they are always to be discovered in the reeds When you zoom in, you can see even more details.

Grey autumn weather, shady prospects and in all medias one horror story is following the one before. Racism, extremism, climate apocalypse or the total crash of the health system. It is not possible below that.
Yesterday, when I found this photograph from a shooting made in 2019 with my princess on my computer, I spontaneously had the urgent need to change my focus rapidly. To do that, I didn’t have to do anything but to look at my wonderful daughter.
Happyness, love, harmony, the wish to explore the world and really to live, to have lustily and loud laughing until the entire body is aching and You can't breath anymore or simply by remaining in a close hug assimilating the closeness with the other. This and so much more is, what she is radiating for me, on every single day.
Life is beautiful. Beautiful and precious. To live with each other and for each other no matter what is written in the news. Thank you Lilly.
Graues Herbstwetter, düstere Aussichten und in allen Medien jagd eine Horrormeldung die nächste. Rassismus, Extremismus, Klimaapokalypse oder der Zusammenbruch des Gesundheitssystems. Unter dem geht nichts mehr.
Als ich gestern dieses Foto von einem shooting von 2019 mit meiner Prinzessin auf dem Computer gefunden habe, hatte ich spontan das dringende Bedürfnis den Fokus drastisch zu verändern. Und dafür brauche ich nichts anderes tun als meine wundervolle Tochter anzusehen.
Freude, Liebe, Harmonie, der Wunsch die Welt zu entdecken und wirklich zu leben, herzhaftes und lautes Lachen bis der ganze Körper schmerzt und du nicht mehr atmen kannst oder einfach in einer innigen Umarmung verharren und die Nähe des Anderen in sich aufnehmen. Das alles und noch so viel mehr strahlt sie für mich aus, an jedem einzelnen Tag.
Das Leben ist schön. Schön und wertvoll. Das Leben miteinander und für einander. Ganz gleich, was in der Zeitung steht. Danke Lilly.

A Fisherman's Hut at Obersee - Bavaria.
Most of the time we were out of luck concerning the weather, but at least we made the best of it!
The Sun managed to fight through the clouds from time to time and created a beautiful soft light on the lake.
Wir hatten den ganzen Obersee für uns aufgrund des schlechten Wetters. So konnte ich dem Regen doch einiges abgewinnen an diesem Tag!

... at the Hoher Markt in the centre of Vienna. It is about the marriage of Mary to Joseph.
Alongside the many tulip fields (mostly pink in mid-April), there were, of course, windmills too. However, it was rare to capture both together in a single shot.
Here is another stack of two images for consistent sharpness.
Neben den vielen Tulpenfeldern (Mitte April meist in rosa) gab es natürlich auch Windmühlen. Es war aber selten so, dass man beides zusammen auf ein Bild bekam.

Ten oosten van Berlijn ligt het voormalige rangeerstation Wuhlheide. In de DDR was de Wuhlheide Rbf een belangrijk schakelpunt voor het goederenverkeer maar na de val van de Berlijnse muur wird het overbodig met de volledige stillegging op 10 juni 1994 als gevolg. In de jaren die volgden verviel het rangeerstation steeds meer (ook omdat vele installaties en gebouwen niet verwijderd waren).
Vandaag de dag ziet het er hier anders uit. De Deutsche Bahn heeft alsnog veel troep verwijderd en de natuur heeft een groot gedeelte van het terrein terug veroverd. Op 22 maart 2005 was de chaos echter nog overal zichtbaar en gebruikte ik de overblijfselen van een huisje om een beetje meer hoogte te winnen terwijl loc 189 001 met een LKW Walter goederentrein uit Rostock richting Italië reed.
Östlich von Berlin liegt der ehemalige Rangierbahnhof Wuhlheide. Zu DDR Zeiten war der Rangierbahnhof sehr wichtig für die Bahn. Nach dem Fall der Mauer änderte dies sich allerdings schnell und der Rangierbahnhof verlor sehr schnell an Bedeutung. Am Ende wurde der Rangierbahnhof Berlin Wuhlheide am 10. Juni 1994 stillgelegt und in den ersten Jahren nach der Schließung den Verfall preisgegeben. Erst viele Jahre später entfernte die Bahn sämtliche Überbleibsel des Rangierbahnhofes, in 2005 konnte man dafür aber noch einiges von damals entdecken. Am 22. März 2005 benutzte ich ein ehemaliges Wärterhäuschen um ein wenig mehr Höhe zu gewinnen um die 189 001 mit LKW Walter Güterzug gen Italien zu fotografieren. Die viele Bauten dienten hier nur noch die Sprayer und die Paintball-Spieler..
Berlin Wuhlheide Rbf was am important yard back in the former east Germany. However, after the wall came down, it quickly became obsolete and on June 10th 1994, it was officially closed down.
Unfortunately the remains weren't immediately removed and in the ensuing years, the yard became a popular place for "artists" who made it more and more colourful.
Nowadays, this place looks completely different but back in 2005, a lot of the yard was still there.
On March 22nd 2005 I was able to shoot engine 189 001 which was hauling a southbound LKW Walter freight train through the remains of the yard..
Vorletzte Nacht hoffte ich hoffte ich erneut auf die angekündigten Polarlichter. Ich richtetet die Kamera zum Polastern aus und lies sie die Nacht durchlaufen.
Pollichter waren auf den über 3000 Aufnahmen leider nicht zu entdecken.
Damit der Aufwand nicht ganz um sonst war, setze ich ein paar hundert Bilder mit Affinity Photo zusammen zusammen.

I pointed my camera toward the northern sky and let it run through the night.Unfortunately, there were no northern lights to be seen in the more than 3,000 images.So that the effort wasn't completely in vain, I put a few hundred images together using Affinity Photo.

Die Hofburg zu Wien war jahrhundertelang die Residenz der Habsburger. Seit 1946 ist sie der Amtssitz des Österreichischen Bundespräsidenten. Sie beherbergt auch die Österreichische Nationalbibliothek, einige Museen und das Bundesdenkmalamt.
Hier vor dem Michaelertor mit ihrer Kuppel sieht man einen der berühmten Fiaker, mit welchem man sich durch die Wiener Altstadt kutschieren lassen kann.

The Hofburg in Vienna was the residence of the Habsburgs for centuries. Since 1946 it has been the official residence of the Austrian Federal President. It also houses the Austrian National Library, several museums and the Federal Monuments Office.
Here, in front of the Michaelertor with its dome, is one of the famous Fiaker (hackney carriages) in which you can be driven through Vienna's old town.

There are impressive waterfalls not only directly in the Plitvice National Park, but also in the further course of the Korana below the officially accessible part of the park, which you can easily hike through.
Imposante Wasserfälle gibt es nicht nur direkt im Plitvice Nationalpark, sondern auch im weiteren Verlauf der Korana unterhalb des offiziell zugänglich Teil des Parks, den man aber einfach erwandern kann.
