Les Vans ist eine Kleinstadt inmitten der außergewöhnlichen Landschaft der Ardèche und den Ausläufern der Cevennen
Die Stadt reich an Geschichte und Architektur. Ein Besuch im Schloss Chambonas, das im 13. Jahrundert erbaut wurde, lohnt sich unbedingt, da hier das lokale Museum untergebracht ist. Die Kirche Saint-Pierre-et-Saint-Paul ist ein weiteres Meisterwerk, das im romanischen Stil errichtet wurde.
Aber das ist noch nicht alles! Jeden Samstag erwachen die Straßen von Les Vans mit Leben, wenn die bunten Märkte ihre Tore öffnen. Frisches Obst und Gemüse, herzhafter Käse, aromatisches Olivenöl und kunstvolles Handwerk sind nur einige der Köstlichkeiten, die man hier finden kann. Der Markt ist ein wichtiger Treffpunkt für Einheimische und Touristen gleichermaßen, und man kann sich auf eine wahrhaft einzigartige Atmosphäre und Erfahrung freuen.

An welch kleinen Dingen man sich doch erfreuen kann. Ich hatte die Hoffnung schon aufgegeben, dass meine Schachbrettblumen wachsen. Nach dem meine Schneeglöckchen leider nicht ausgetrieben sind, konnte ich es gestern nicht fassen zwei kleine Pflänzchen zu entdecken. Mitten im hohen Gras, gerade noch vor dem ersten Rasenschnitt haben sich die Blütenknospen gebildet.
Sind schon gespannt was als nächstes zum Blühen beginnt.
What little things to enjoy. I had already given up hope that my leper lily (Fritillaria meleagris) would grow. After the my snowdrops unfortunately not exorcised, I could not believe yesterday two small plantlets to discover. In the middle of the tall grass, just before the first lawn cut, the flower buds have formed.
We are already curious what will start flowering next.

Most of the time we were out of luck concerning the weather, but at least we made the best of it!
The Sun managed to fight through the clouds from time to time and created a beautiful soft light on the lake.
Wir hatten den ganzen Obersee für uns aufgrund des schlechten Wetters. So konnte ich dem Regen doch einiges abgewinnen an diesem Tag!

Die Hofburg zu Wien war jahrhundertelang die Residenz der Habsburger. Seit 1946 ist sie der Amtssitz des Österreichischen Bundespräsidenten. Sie beherbergt auch die Österreichische Nationalbibliothek, einige Museen und das Bundesdenkmalamt.
Hier vor dem Michaelertor mit ihrer Kuppel sieht man einen der berühmten Fiaker, mit welchem man sich durch die Wiener Altstadt kutschieren lassen kann.

The Hofburg in Vienna was the residence of the Habsburgs for centuries. Since 1946 it has been the official residence of the Austrian Federal President. It also houses the Austrian National Library, several museums and the Federal Monuments Office.
Here, in front of the Michaelertor with its dome, is one of the famous Fiaker (hackney carriages) in which you can be driven through Vienna's old town.

Mit zierlich nickenden Glockenblüten dekoriert die Schachblume im Frühling naturnahe Feuchtwiesen, den Bachlauf und Teichrand. In freier Natur ist die Zwiebelblume mit dem purpur-weißen Schachbrettmuster nur noch selten zu entdecken.

… auch Danubiusbrunnen genannt, befindet sich an der Augustinerbastei am Albertinaplatz. Seine Enthüllung war am 24. Dezember 1869. Seine Skulpturen stellen die Stadt Wien (Vindobona), den Donaustrom (Danubius) und verschiedene andere Flüsse, wie den Inn, die Save, Drau, Theiß, Mur, Salzach, March, Raab, Enns und die Traun dar.

… also called Danubius Fountain, is located at the Augustinerbastei on plaza Albertinaplatz. Its unveiling ceremony was on 24 December 1869. Its sculptures represent the city of Vienna (Vindobona), the Danube River (Danubius) and various other rivers, such as the Inn, the Sava, Drava, Tisza, Mur, Salzach, March, Raab, Enns and Traun.

Der Zollamtssteg und die darunter liegende Zollamtsbrücke führen über den Wienfluss. Über die Zollamtsbrücke fährt die U-Bahn-Linie U4. Die Brücken sind im Jugendstil erbaut und dienten auch als Drehort im Film "Before Sunrise", der in Wien spielt.

The Zollamtssteg ('customs office bridge') and the Zollamtsbrücke below it cross the Wienfluss ('Vienna River'). The U4 underground line runs over the Zollamtsbrücke. The bridges are built in Art Nouveau style and were also used as a film location in the movie "Before Sunrise", which is set in Vienna.

The Obersee is a natural mountain lake in the Berchtesgaden Alps in Upper Bavaria and lies south of the better-known Königssee.

Wer nicht zu viel Geld für Souvenirs ausgegeben hat, kann sich vielleicht noch einen Aufenthalt im berühmten Hotel Sacher im 1. Bezirk leisten.😉 Es ist eines der weltweit besten Luxushotels der Welt. Vermutlich jedermann bekannt ist die Original Sachertorte, von der jährlich etwa 360.00 Stück exportiert werden.

If you haven't spent too much money for souvenirs, you might still be able to enjoy a stay at the famous Hotel Sacher in the 1st district.😉 It is one of the world's best luxury hotels. Probably everyone knows the original Sacher cake, of which about 360,00 pieces are exported every year.

KTP | Botsuana
We took the Kaa Wilderness Trail in the northern part of the KTP. There is a spot, where the track goes right over a big area... with dozens of Meerkat holes. Turn of your vehicle, be quiet and patient.
It took a good 20minutes, till the Merrkats came out, one by one.

ENG: I say welcome all of you out there in the new year. I hope that you have come over well into 2022. ☻
We have made today equal times a New Year's walk through Berlin's center. Past the Red City Hall, where the Christmas market Ferris wheel still turns, further "Unter den Linden" to the "Tiergarten" and back to the Suburban train station „Friedrichstraße“. The small about 5 kilometers long City Walk was nevertheless very relaxing. Since it was just wonderful to watch the many tourists and to discover his own city times again.

GER: Ich begrüße euch alle da draußen im neuen Jahr. Ich hoffe das ihr gut rüber gekommen seid ins 2022. ☻
Wir haben heute gleich mal einen Neujahrs Spaziergang durch Berlins Mitte gemacht. Vorbei am Roten Rathaus, wo sich immer noch das Weihnachtsmarkt Riesenrad dreht, weiter „Unter den Linden“ bis zum „Tiergarten“ und zurück zum S-Bahnhof Friedrichstraße. Der kleine etwa 5 Kilometer lange City Walk war doch sehr entspannend. Da es einfach herrlich war, die vielen Touristen zu beobachten und seine eigene Stadt mal wieder zu entdecken.
Ich habe gerade mal meine Festplatte ein wenig aufgeräumt. Da bin ich über dieses Schätzchen gestolpert. Es gehört zu einer Reihe von Bildern, die ich bei einem Fotowalk in den belgischen Ardennen gemacht habe. Es ist aus dem Jahr 2014. Ich habe es damals noch mit meiner Nikon D7000 und dem Sigma 10-20mm f/4.0-5.6 gemacht. Es zeigt den Wasserfall von Bayhon im Hohen Venn.

Raus aus der Enge der Stadt. Die Hektik und den Lärm hinter sich lassen. Die Ruhe genießen und die Weite der Landschaft spüren. Tief durchatmen und die Seele baumeln lassen.
There are impressive waterfalls not only directly in the Plitvice National Park, but also in the further course of the Korana below the officially accessible part of the park, which you can easily hike through.
Imposante Wasserfälle gibt es nicht nur direkt im Plitvice Nationalpark, sondern auch im weiteren Verlauf der Korana unterhalb des offiziell zugänglich Teil des Parks, den man aber einfach erwandern kann.

Das Salzamt war früher eine Behörde, die den Salzabbau und dessen Handel verwaltete. Seit über 200 Jahren gibt es diese Behörde allerdings nicht mehr. Geblieben ist aber die Redewendung, "Beschwere dich doch beim Salzamt" - also bei diesem nicht mehr existierenden Amt, womit die Aussichtslosigkeit von vornherein klar ist !! 😂 Heute gibt es noch ein Lokal namens Salzamt am Ruprechtsplatz.

The salt authority used to be an authority that administered salt mining and its trade. This authority has no longer existed for over 200 years, in fact. What has remained is the saying, "Why don't you complain to the Salt Authority" - i.e. to this no longer existing authority, where the hopelessness is clear from the outset !! 😂 Today there is still a locality called 'Salzamt' on Ruprechtsplatz.
Mit einem Blick über den Dresdner Striezelmarkt mit Kreuzkirche und der weltgrößten erzgebirgischen Stufenpyramide wünsche ich allen schöne Feiertage und frohe Weihnachten!

Der Grünfink ist gut getarnt. Obwohl er laut ruft, ist er zwischen den Blättern schwer zu entdecken.
Um das Bild besonders detailreich sehen zu können, drückt die Tasten l (kleines L) und F11. Beim vergrößern nur durch Anklicken gehen viele Details verloren.

On the central plaza Michaelerplatz, there is a fountain at each end of the Michaelertrakt. At the bottom left you can see the fountain with the name "The Power at Sea". The fountain with the name "The Power on Land" can be seen at the top right.
