this morning i spotted this cat on my car,went in to get the camera and she posed for a few capture,wow! she made my day
The flat glacier at the center is the "Glacier de la Plaine Morte", near 3000 meters, from North.
Southstream is a strange thing. The luminosity is very special. Many people are disturbed. The northafrican Arabs speak from the "wind which makes mad". There is a statistical increase in migraine and car accidents.
Of that gorgeous Dutch group The Tulipistas! They were performing in our garden at Bexhill-on-Sea, East Sussex....
Excellent design. Downlights arrangement is beautiful.

sorry for my absence. I have been out and about in Alaska. Will do my best to catch up with everyone. I went to the Alaska Botanical Garden today. Not too much there, but I did get a few decent photos. Glacier cruise yesterday. Not very good weather but it was fun.

An excellent landscape choice in all four seasons.
Flowers are showy in spring. Leaves turn red-purple in fall.
Glossy red fruits attract winter songbirds.
Likes partial shade; moist, acid, well-drained soil.
At one point we had 6 of these in the property some were dying when we bought the house,
After 28 years I still have some branches,
on the photo bellow the base is dogwood and is hard as a rock,

The always excellent John at Big M Auto Salvage allowed me out for my semiannual yet always impromptu night of shooting this week. This post-war Chrysler was a freshly trailered in find when I shot it in 2013. I think it's gone now, but there's always something fresh and interesting to see at this amazing yard. Night, deep shade, 3 soft dabs of white light and some red reflected from behind the camera.
Will be out for the weekend fishing and wanted to share this image of these wonderful Calla Lily's, hope you all enjoy this capture and wish you all a wonderful weekend.

It has been an excellent start to the 2016 chase Season. Bonus was, that I had the day off and no commitments except for storm chasing. I was set for an Epic Day!
I ended up with well over 700 pic from this storm chasing event, but I've skimmed it down to about 100+. Truly this will become some of my best severe weather photography to date...
I was seriously late the game on this storm. But I was never out of the game. I had now positioned myself just to the North of Wray Colorado.
Strategically, you want to be to the south east, southwest for the best light... It's all about timing, and I thought it wouldn't produce till it was well west of my location. Giving me that perfect view of the backside rotation of the storm.
In my opinion, I found a perfect view, looking due south southeast. I ended up on the northwest side of the rotation. Dangerous yes...but this will eventually give me one excellent view of this tornado and all her glory.

He is a Sadhu not a Sikh. Because of his turban, beard and moustaches he looks like a Sikh but there is huge difference between a Sadhu and a Sikh. Sadhus Are Hindus and Sikhism itself is a different religion. In Hinduism, Sadhu is a common term for a practitioner of yoga and/or wandering monks.
The basic difference is 'Tilak' an auspicious mark of saffron and sandalwood paste on the forehead, You will not see this mark on any Sikh's forehead.
The Michigan Challenge Balloonfest is an annual hot air balloon festival established in 1984 and held in Howell, One of the favorite events of the festival is held late on Saturday night each year, the balloon night glow. Thanks again to my good friend Phil Odum for the great parking spot....I would have never made it on time...Thanks Phil
