Nostromo Engineering corridor - ALIEN 1:18 scale. Wall deco - control stations within the corridors of the lower levels. Tthe film designers used the back of large television sets, glued them to the walls and gave them some greeblie work. paint and grime. The 1:18 scaled replica I built is out of sheet styrene. I plan to mold./cast the piece as is and add various greeblie work making each piece slightly different to one another offering interesting variations in the chaos of the lower decks. I can also modify the castings to make deco for Decks A ans B as well...although I will have to build additional pieces with more distinct variations. #alien #nostromo #engineering #corridors #sith_fire30

The island lies about 3.5 miles across the bay from St. Ives. The lighthouse was built in 1859 to mark a dangerous reef called "The Stones" which extends out toward St. Ives and which has been responsible for many shipwrecks, including the iron screw steamer "Nile" in 1854 with total loss of passengers and crew. The white octagonal tower stands 120 feet high and was made of rubble stone imbedded in mortar. The station was automated in 1939 when a new second order Fresnel type lens was installed. The light flashes white every ten seconds and has a continuous red sector marking "The Stones" reef.

Trinity House (the lighthouse authority in England and Wales) considers the light to now be unnecessary, due to modern navigation devices, and plans to demolish the lighthouse.

"In a hole in the ground there lived a Hobbit. Not a nasty, dirty, wet hole, filled with the ends of worms and an oozy smell, nor yet a dry, bare, sandy hole with nothing in it to sit down on or to eat: it was a Hobbit-hole, and that means comfort."

A visit to the art gallery Oriel Môn in Rhosmeirch, Llangefni on Anglesey in Wales.

There wasn't much that I could take photos of inside, due to a no photos policy. So didn't get much here.

Exterior of the art gallery. It is home to the artwork of Kyffin Williams, 2018 was the Centenary of his birth.

Most of the art inside is copyrighted and I wasn't allowed to take photos of them (not that I wanted to).

Didn't really like this place that much. The cafe was ok though.

Oriel Môn is a purpose built Museum and Art Gallery, which opened in 1991 to house the works of the renowned wildlife artist Charles Tunnicliffe. Now one of Wales's premier Museum and Art Galleries, it shows over 21 exhibitions a year ranging from historical exhibitions and craft fairs, including special exhibitions by one of Wales' greatest artist Sir Kyffin Williams.
