[ENG] Santa María de Naranco is one of the most enigmatic and harmonious monuments of Western architecture. It is an old palace that was the Aula Regia of the palace complex that King Ramiro I (842-850) ordered to be built on the outskirts of the capital of the kingdom of Asturias. It was completed in the year 842. Its artistic style is the so-called Asturian or "ramirense" art, within the pre-Romanesque period. It functioned as a temple from the collapse of the chevet and part of the naves of San Miguel de Lillo (12th century) until its restoration in the years 1929-1934. It is located on the southern slope of Mount Naranco, about 4 km from Oviedo (Asturias, Spain). It was declared a World Heritage Site by UNESCO in 1985. [ENG] The town of Belchite (Zaragoza, Spain) is known for the tragic episodes that took place during the Civil War (1936-1939). On August 24, 1937 the republican offensive that triggered the Battle of Belchite began on this city in which several thousand nationalists were concentrated. Little concern the strategic objectives and the details of the fierce struggle in which aviation and the XV International Brigade (formed by Canadians, Americans and British) intervened and who fought house by house until September 6. A few months later there was a second war episode in the Batalla de Aragón, in which the advance of the revolted army, with the Italian and Moroccan corps in front, on March 9 to 11 took Belchite and other nearby municipalities. Su construcción inicial es de principios del siglo XIV, en estilo gótico-mudéjar, nave única, cabecera poligonal y torre a los pies. En el siglo XVI sufrió una reforma importante, se sustituyó la cubierta por bóvedas estrellas, y se amplió con otra nave en el lado de la epístola, capillas entre los contrafuerte del lado opuesto y un nuevo tramo a los pies. [ENG] The Castillo de los Mendoza, better known as Castillo Nuevo de Manzanares el Real, is the most emblematic fortress in the Community of Madrid and one of the best preserved in Spain. あらすじ
大学を目指している北見ケイは、SNS上で、6歳年上のイベントコンパニオン、上村香織に出会う。
上京してきた香織の夢は、有名なアーティストの友達になるためだ。
そのためにはラジオ局のプロデューサー、大沢亮の存在が必要だった。
大沢は、ラジオの生放送中、香織へ語りかける。
「僕には妻子がある。しかし、僕は君に会いたいと思っている」
ケイの同級生で、彼を想っている三條里香は、香織の動向を探っていた。。。。。
本編
人が海へ向かう理由には、二つある。
ひとつは、波打ち際ではしゃぐ子供のように、今の瞬間の海の輝きを楽しむこと。
もうひとつは、その輝きを静かに見据えて、過ぎ去った日々を懐かしむ老人のように記憶の埃を払うこと。
二つは重なり合わないようではあるけれども、たったひとつの意味しか生まない。
再生だ。
明日っていう、曖昧な日を確実なものへと変えてゆくために、自分の存在に向き合う。
それが再生の意味だ。
十八歳だった僕には大切な人がいた。

This shot was taken during my visit to the southern region of Saudi Arabia. I tried combining Dave Hill and Dragan effects, adding mono-color to the mix, and this is the final result.
The governor is a very polite and well-educated man, who actually lives in Jizan and commutes daily to Farasan island. He is very committed to his job and one of his wild ambitions is to see the island of Farasan as an international tourism destination.

[ENG] The town of Belchite (Zaragoza, Spain) is known for the tragic episodes that took place during the Civil War (1936-1939). On August 24, 1937 the republican offensive that triggered the Battle of Belchite began on this city in which several thousand nationalists were concentrated. [ESP] La Iglesia de San Martín de Tours fue la parroquia principal del pueblo. Su construcción inicial es de principios del siglo XIV, en estilo gótico-mudéjar, nave única, cabecera poligonal y torre a los pies. En el siglo XVI sufrió una reforma importante, se sustituyó la cubierta por bóvedas estrellas, y se amplió con otra nave en el lado de la epístola, capillas entre los contrafuerte del lado opuesto y un nuevo tramo a los pies. En el siglo XVII se levantó una capilla barroca junto al primer tramo de la nave lateral, y en el siglo XVIII se construyó la portada monumental con cuatro columnas toscanas de la fachada principal que se puede ver actualmente. La torre es el elemento menos modificado, es de planta cuadrada y tiene tres cuerpos de ladrillo con decoración geométrica mudéjar, y se remata con un chapitel piramidal.
El pueblo de Belchite (Zaragoza, España) es conocido por los trágicos episodios sucedidos durante la Guerra Civil (1936-1939). [ENG] The Church of Santa María de Cap d'Arán de Tredós, located at the head of the Arán Valley (Lleida, Spain), is a Romanesque temple built in the 11th, 12th and 13th centuries. Ein Adjektiv, das in einem gut bebilderten Lexikon am Besten durch die engen, mit lila Blüten tragenden Bäumen und unzähligen Lampignons geschmückten Straßen beschrieben werden könnte. Es ist mit Abstand die schönste Stadt auf meiner Reise. Sie ist ruhig, aber trotzdem belebt. Ein must-have auf jeder Vietnamreise!

[ESP] La Capilla de Villaviciosa, primitiva Capilla Mayor, se construyó para adaptar la mezquita al culto cristiano. Está formada por una nave gótica de planta basilical, e inicialmente lució muros ornamentados. Destaca la solución de la cubierta que apoya en arcos fajones que soportan una armadura de casetones de madera a dos aguas, en la que se alterna ornamentación vegetal e inscripciones en latín y griego.
La Mezquita-Catedral de Córdoba es uno de los monumentos más singulares del mundo. La arquitectura islámica , con ecos helenísticos, romanos y bizantinos, se funde con la cristiana en una de las expresiones más bellas. [ESP] La torre campanario se construyó en el siglo XVII adosada al muro de poniente, tiene unos 24 m. de altura, es de planta cuadrada y se cubre con un chapitel octogonal. Es muy simple, su única decoración son las dovelas de los arcos de medio punto y los sillares laterales de los vanos construidos con piedra más clara. Tiene su entrada por el templo. Los vanos se sitúan en las dos plantas superiores, por parejas en tres costados, y uno en el lado de mediodía (las ventanas del penúltimo piso están tabicadas).
La iglesia de San Pedro de Escunhau (Valle de Arán, España) se construyó en el siglo XI en la parte alta de la población, pero ha sufrido importantes ampliaciones y reformas en los siglos siguientes. あらすじ
大学を目指している北見ケイは、SNS上で、6歳年上のイベントコンパニオン、上村香織に出会う。
上京してきた香織の夢は、有名なアーティストの友達になるためだ。
そのためにはラジオ局のプロデューサー、大沢亮の存在が必要だった。
大沢は、ラジオの生放送中、香織へ語りかける。
「僕には妻子がある。しかし、僕は君に会いたいと思っている」
ケイの同級生で、彼を想っている三條里香は、香織の動向を探っていた。。。。。
本編
人が海へ向かう理由には、二つある。
ひとつは、波打ち際ではしゃぐ子供のように、今の瞬間の海の輝きを楽しむこと。
もうひとつは、その輝きを静かに見据えて、過ぎ去った日々を懐かしむ老人のように記憶の埃を払うこと。
二つは重なり合わないようではあるけれども、たったひとつの意味しか生まない。
再生だ。
明日っていう、曖昧な日を確実なものへと変えてゆくために、自分の存在に向き合う。
それが再生の意味だ。
十八歳だった僕には大切な人がいた。

Dimorphotheca ecklonis has beautiful, white ray florets and a dark blue centre (disc florets). A collection of these plants in full bloom certainly creates a stunning show in any garden! In nature, the plants grow mostly in sandy soil on steep slopes or at the base of cliffs. Butterflies are attracted to the flowers and they are obviously the pollinators of this species. The fruits have no special adaptations for dispersal and seedlings are often found near the parent plants. Small wings are present on the three corners of the fruits, which might assist in wind dispersal.
Dimorphotheca ecklonis is a perennial plant of up to 1 m tall and as much in diameter, erect to decumbent. It can get woody at the base. The leaves are alternately arranged, sessile, simple, elliptic and slightly succulent, and the margins are entire to conspicuously dentate, crowded at the ends of the branches. The lower branches are quite nude.
The species is named after C.F. Ecklon, one of the early botanical explorers of the Cape. It was introduced into cultivation in Europe in the late 1800s. In the genus Dimorphotheca, there are about 19 species occurring in southern Africa, Angola and Zimbabwe. D. ecklonis was originally described by De Candolle in 1837. The cypselae of the ray florets differ in shape from those of the disc florets, hence the generic name Dimorphotheca : di = 2, morpho = shape, theca = fruit. This plant was at one stage called Osteospermum ecklonis (DC.) Norl.

[ESP] El claustro de la Colegiata de Alquézar tiene forma trapezoidal irregular para adaptarse al terreno, y solo la panda norte conserva la primitiva construcción románica, ya que en los siglos del gótico las restantes galerías fueron reconstruidas aunque respetando la estética románica a base de arcos de medio punto apoyando en dobles columnas con capiteles lisos con cimacios ornamentados. Originalmente la galería norte estaba formada por dos parejas de arcos de medio punto separadas por un machón central, pero para instalar un sepulcro se replanteó la arquería desplazando las columnas y construyendo dos arcos desiguales. La iconografía de los capiteles, del siglo XIII, responde principalmente a temas del Antiguo Testamento. En la Edad Moderna se añadió un piso de ladrillo abierto con ventanales de medio punto típicos de galerías de casonas aragonesas.
La Colegiata de Santa María la Mayor de Alquézar, tiene su origen en el castillo árabe construido en el siglo IX en lo alto de una cresta rocosa rodeado de barrancos situada en Alquézar (Huesca, España), que tras su conquista en 1067 por Sancho Ramírez pasa a ser fortaleza cristiana, y en 1099, superadas las necesidades militares por el avance de la Reconquista, se instaló una comunidad de canónigos agustinos, construyéndose una iglesia colegiata románica, que en el siglo XVI se sustituyó por otra tardogótica que perdura en la actualidad.

The Lappa Valley Steam Railway was established by Eric Booth in the 1970s. The trackbed was cleared of the thick undergrowth that had grown since the closure of the railway in 1963, and 15 in (381 mm) gauge track was laid for 1 mile (1.6 km) between Benny Halt and East Wheal Rose.
A new steam locomotive Zebedee was built for the line by Severn Lamb, arriving in early 1974 with 4 locally-built carriages. The railway opened to the public on 16 June 1974.
A large boating lake was dug at East Wheal Rose in 1975 to drain the area around the former mine site, and the whole East Wheal Rose area landscaped. The engine house of East Wheal Rose is the dominant feature of this location.
More locomotives arrived from Longleat in 1976, with more carriages also being built at the time.
In the 1970s a 7+1⁄4 in (184 mm) gauge railway was laid around a smaller boating lake, whilst a third railway, of 10+1⁄4 in (260 mm) gauge, running a further 1⁄2 mi (805 m) along the old trackbed was opened in May 1995.
In 2014 a new owner acquired the railway and made various improvements.
[ENG] The Monastery, in Romanesque style, began to be constructed in 1188 by Sancha de Castilla (queen consort of Alfonso II of Aragon) in Los Monegros. At present only it stays in foot the temple and other dependences. The door of the church has 14 archivolts and is the element most known.
[ESP] El interior del templo estuvo decorado con pinturas románicas de vivos colores, pero se destruyeron en el incendio provocado al inicio de la guerra civil (julio de 1936). No obstante han quedado algunos restos en mal estado. Quizás la menos deteriorada es la situada en el tercer tramo del muro norte, en la que en su parte central se representa una Epifanía.
El Monasterio, de estilo románico, comenzó a construirse en 1188 por mandato de Sancha de Castilla, reina consorte de Alfonso II de Aragón, en Los Monegros, y acogió a reinas, princesas e hijas de familias nobles. Durante los siglos XIII y XIV se depositó una parte del tesoro real y del archivo monástico. Fue también panteón real y lugar de enterramiento de reyes, reinas e infantas de Aragón. Recibió importantes donativos con los que se convirtió en uno de los monasterios más ricos y bellos de Aragón. En torno al claustro se distribuían las dependencias monacales, el templo, el palacio prioral, y la extraordinaria sala capitular cubierta por una techumbre mudéjar y decorada con un interesantísimo conjunto de pintura mural del siglo XIII. La Guerra de la Independencia (1808-1814) y la desamortización del siglo XIX afectaron gravemente al conjunto, y el trágico incendio, saqueo y profanación acaecidos en agosto de 1936 arruinaron el patrimonio mueble y el inmueble, del que sólo se conserva el templo y una pequeña parte del claustro. Recientemente se han realizado restauraciones.

Gaomei was called Gaomi in the Qing Dynasty and was renamed during the Japanese occupation. The wetlands here are over 300 hectares, but the area is only 1/10 of Dadu River wetlands. The geography is divided into 7 categories, which results in diversified organisms in this area. Gaomei Wetlands is one of the few places that has wild ducks.
Despite the small area, Gaomei Wetlands have special soils mixed with mud and sand. Ecology here breeds diversified organisms of both plants and animals. Research shows that animals here include birds, fishes, crabs and invertebrates.
位於清水大甲溪出海口南側，廣達1,500公頃的高美濕地，擁有豐富的天然資源，是國內少數幾處雁鴨集體繁殖區之一。 曾在高美濕地棲息的鳥類有多達120餘種，為重要之生態保育區。 目前已逐漸取代大肚溪口，成為喜好賞鳥人士的新興賞線。
高美濕地雖然面積不大，但是由於泥質及沙質灘地兼具，加上與河口沼澤地帶鑲嵌在一起，所以孕育了豐富又複雜的濕地生態，以及目前所知全台灣最大族群的雲林莞草區，形成乾濕相間伴有植物生長的複雜地形，因為地形多變，生態種類亦相當複雜，主要為鳥類、魚類、蟹類及其他無脊椎類等生物。
[ENG] The Church of San Esteban, located in Betrén, Valle de Arán (Lleida, Spain), is a transitional temple from Romanesque to Gothic built in the 13-14th centuries. Highlight the head of three polygonal apses and the extraordinary portal with four profusely decorated pointed archivolts that narrate the Last Judgment through 60 characters representing angels announcing with horns the event, the resurrection of the dead (emerging from their graves), musicians with their instruments, artisans, farmers, kings and commoners, chosen and condemned. [ESP] Los capiteles de las columnas sobre los que apoyan las arquivoltas son historiados, los de la izquierda están ornamentados con formas vegetales, y en los de la derecha se simbolizan figuras zoomorfas –quizás dos arpías o dos dragones entrelazados- y antropomorfas, quizás la escena del Pecado Original y un hombre acosado por un dragón de larga cola o por una serpiente.
La Iglesia de San Esteban, situada en Betrén, Valle de Arán (Lleida, España), es un templo de transición del románico al gótico construido en los siglos XIII-XIV. Tiene una sola nave con una cabecera de tres ábsides poligonales y está cubierta con una doble estructura de madera. La portada es el elemento más destacado, luce cuatro arquivoltas apuntadas profusamente decoradas con imágenes que representan el Juicio Final y en el tímpano la Virgen con el Niño. Sus muros disponen vanos góticos y románicos. En el hastial de levante despunta una representación de iconografía románica con un caballero y una dama. Today I want to come back with a shot made during one of my most recent adventures, in the wild Chilean Patagonia!
Here I was in the Torres del Paine National Park, also known as "the eighth wonder of the world" (for a reason, I add), on a cold autumn morning, just after a beautiful snowfall that had whitened the Cuernos del Paine! The wind had dropped and the very first lights of the day were peeping out, and I was luckily already there; to get to this point you need to hike almost for an hour (very easy trail!).. Can you imagine walking in the night, in total silence, and raise your eyes to see this wonder? It is definitely one of the most vivid memories I have of that trip!

Oggi voglio tornare con uno scatto fatto durante una delle mie più recenti avventure, nella selvaggia Patagonia cilena!
Qui mi trovavo nel parco del Torres del Paine, conosciuto anche come “l’ottava meraviglia del mondo” (per un motivo, aggiungerei), durante una fredda mattina d’autunno, proprio dopo una bella nevicata che aveva imbiancato i Cuernos del Paine! Il vento era calato e le primissime luci dell’alba stavano facendo capolino, ed io fortunatamente ero già sul posto; per arrivare in questo punto bisogna farsi un’oretta scarsa di sentiero molto tranquillo.. Ma vi immaginate camminare nella notte, nel silenzio totale, ed alzare gli occhi per vedere questa meraviglia? È sicuramente uno dei ricordi più vividi che ho di quel viaggio!
Che ne dite di venire con me il prossimo anno a vivere queste emozioni? A visitare questi posti incredibili?
