Auch 408 224 (ex M40 224), in Ungarn "Púpos" oder in Deutsch "Bucklige" genannt, war am Retro-Wochenende mit einem Retro-Zug unterwegs. Bemerkenswert ist der Heizwagen, der benötigt wird, da die Lok selber keine Versorgungsleitungen hat.

Hier fährt der Zug in die modernisierte Station Algyő ein. Trotz aller Moderne, die der Bahnhof jetzt ausstrahlt, hat man trotzdem noch bei den Weichen Handhebel eingebaut. Ein kleines, aber interessantes Detail.

Gedurende de zomervakantie reed de SGB een uitgebreidere dienstregeling, waarbij de twee omC-tjes ook in actie kwamen. Dit zijn toch wel een van de mooiste (replica) treinen die in Nederland rondrijden, dus onze focus lag vooral op deze twee treinstellen. Mijn zoon had ook nog zijn Lego model die hij had ontworpen en gebouwd meegenomen, die met het origineel vastgelegd werden.

During the summer holidays, the SGB operated an extended timetable, including the two OMC trains. These are among the most beautiful (replica) trains operating in the Netherlands, so our focus was primarily on these two trains. My son also brought along his Lego model, which he had designed and built, and which was photographed alongside the original.

Während der Sommerferien verkehrte die SGB mit einem erweiterten Fahrplan, unter anderem mit den beiden OMC-Zügen. Diese zählen zu den schönsten (Nachbauten) Zügen der Niederlande, daher lag unser Augenmerk vor allem auf diesen beiden Zügen. Mein Sohn hatte auch sein Lego-Modell dabei, das er selbst entworfen und gebaut hatte und das wir zusammen mit dem Original fotografiert haben.

Op 1 juni 2009 werd '125 jaar Schaddenspoor' gevierd bij de MBS. Er stonden die dag diverse locomotieven onder stoom die gemengde treinen tussen Boekelo en Haaksbergen reden. Een prachtige spoorlijn en schitterend onderhouden locomotieven, rijtuigen en wagons. Een aanrader voor iedereen.

On June 1, 2009, '125 years of Schaddenspoor' was celebrated at the MBS. That day several locomotives were under steam that ran mixed trains between Boekelo and Haaksbergen. A beautiful railway line and beautifully maintained locomotives, carriages and wagons. A must for everyone.

Am 1. Juni 2009 wurde im MBS das 125-jährige Bestehen von Schaddenspoor gefeiert. An diesem Tag standen mehrere Lokomotiven unter Dampf, die gemischte Züge zwischen Boekelo und Haaksbergen fuhren. Eine schöne Eisenbahnlinie und schön gewarteten Lokomotiven, Wagen und Waggons. Ein Muss für alle.

Dieser Tag stand im RTM ganz im Zeichen des Gütertransports. Verschiedene Dampf- und Diesellokomotiven trieben Güterstraßenbahnen bzw. Personenstraßenbahnen mit Güterwagen an. Das Wetter war ausgezeichnet und die Straßenbahnen waren wieder wunderschön.

Dit jaar waren dat de SHM 5 ' Enkhuizen', de SHD 2205, de CREW 2454 Plan U stel 151, de SSN 23 023 en de eigen locs SGB 22 'Otter' en 264 'Sik'. Daarnaast stonden op het depot in Goes de SGB omC 910 en omC 909, CREW 2454 C9002 'Jaap', SHD 302282 'Anneke' en SHD Plan D 60 84 978 1 005-1 Meetrijtuig CTO ter bezichtiging. Genoeg te zien dus. Het was schitterend weer en we hebben ons dus weer prima vermaakt.

In diesem Jahr waren dies die SHM 5 „Enkhuizen“, die SHD 2205, die CREW 2454 Plan U Set 151, die SSN 23 023 und unsere eigenen Lokomotiven SGB 22 „Otter“ und 264 „Sik“. Ook maakten de omC 909 en 910 enkele ritten. Dit jaar besteedden we vooral aandacht aan de omC 909 en 910. Het was weer een erg geslaagd evenement.

Auch die OMC 909 und 910 machten einige Fahrten. Besonderes Augenmerk haben wir in diesem Jahr auf die OMC 909 und 910 gelegt. Es war wieder eine sehr erfolgreiche Veranstaltung.

In mijn jongere jaren trok ik er wat regelmatiger op uit, als ik een vrije dag had, of als er een speciale rit of evenement op het programma stond. In die tijd fotografeerde ik voornamelijk met dia-rolletjes, die ik nu in aan het scannen ben en aan het bewerken ben (oplichten, vuil verwijderen, verscherpen) om ze weer toonbaar te maken.

Deze keer was ik op pad gegaan naar Moordrecht om daar de 'Rijnmond expres' met de SNCF 141 R 420 vast te leggen. Maar natuurlijk werd ook het 'dagelijkse' materieel vastgelegd.

When I was younger, I used to get out a little more regularly, when I had a day off, or when there was a special ride or event planned. At that time I mainly photographed with colour slide rolls, which I am now scanning and editing (lightening, removing dirt, sharpening) to make them acceptable again.

This time I went to Moordrecht to make some pictures of the 'Rijnmond Expres' pulled by the SNCF 141 R 420. But while waiting for this train, I made some pictures of the regular trains also.

Als ich jünger war, bin ich regelmäßiger

rausgezogen, wenn ich einen freien Tag hatte oder wenn eine besondere Fahrt oder Veranstaltung geplant war. Ich habe damals hauptsächlich mit Diarollen fotografiert, die ich jetzt scanne und bearbeite (aufhellen, Schmutz entfernen, schärfen), um sie wieder ansehbar zu machen.

Diesmal bin ich nach Moordrecht gefahren, um den 'Rijnmond Express' mit der SNCF 141 R 420 zu fotografieren. Aber natürlich wurde auch die „tägliche“ Züge erfasst.

New Haven Railroad ALCO diesel electric locomotives DL-109 # 0759 and a PA-1 lead a westbound passenger train that is stopped at a station platform in Providence, Rhode Island, ca late 1950's. this was the last DL-109 built for the New Haven Railroad and it also was the only one to be painted in the McGinnis paint scheme. The paint scheme is the not so common reverse scheme. The snow really set this locomotive off well and the photographer did a wonderful job of capturing this image at this time.

This photo scan along with others was provided to me from a friend and the photographers name is Mile Usenia. This is a modified, enhanced and cropped version of the original photo scan.

New Haven Railroad EF-4 class motors with 309 in the lead along with another EF-4, plus a caboose, cross a bridge over the Quinnipiac River while an ALCO RS-11 led freight train crosses an overpass bridge at Cedar Hill Yard, New Haven, Connecticut, ca early 1960's. The motors are traveling light because they may have already delivered a freight train into the yard and are perhaps heading to the motor service area..

Deze dag samen met mijn dochter naar het Spoorwegmuseum geweest. Zij vermaakte zich wel met de ' achtbaan' en de andere attracties. Ik had mijn statief mee en leefde mij zelf ook lekker uit.

This day I went to the Railway Museum with my daughter. She enjoyed herself with the 'roller coaster' and the other attractions. I had my tripod with me and had a great time.

Heute war ich mit meiner Tochter im Eisenbahnmuseum. Sie vergnügte sich mit der „Achterbahn“ und den anderen Attraktionen. Ich hatte mein Stativ dabei und hatte eine tolle Zeit.

Elk jaar wordt met Hemelvaart de Nationale Stoomtreindag georganiseerd. Meestal zijn we dan bij de SGB of de RTM te vinden. Dit keer wilde ik, naar aanleiding van foto's die ik in Fb had gezien, eens naar de VSM. Samen met mijn oudste zoon op pad naar Loenen, waar we bijna een privé showtje goederenwagens rangeren hadden. Een groot deel van de ochtend hebben we bij de VSM doorgebracht, waarna we in de middag naar Zwolle zijn gegaan om daar nog de 1700 in dienst te bekijken.

Every year the National Steam Train Day is organized during Ascension Day. We can usually be found at the SGB or the RTM. This time, based on photos I had seen in Facebook, I wanted to go to the VSM. Together with my eldest son we went to Loenen, where we almost had a private show of shunting freight wagons. We spent a large part of the morning at the VSM, after which we went to Zwolle in the afternoon to view the 1700 in service there.

Jedes Jahr wird am Himmelfahrtstag der Nationale Dampfzugtag organisiert. In der Regel sind wir beim SGB oder beim RTM zu finden. Diesmal wollte ich, basierend auf Fotos, die ich auf Facebook gesehen hatte, zum VSM gehen. Zusammen mit meinem ältesten Sohn fuhren wir nach Loenen, wo wir fast eine Privatschau von Rangiergüterwagen hatten. Wir verbrachten den größten Teil des Vormittags im VSM und fuhren dann am Nachmittag nach Zwolle, um den dort im Einsatz befindlichen 1700 zu besichtigen.

'Sporen naar het Verleden'is het jaarlijkse evenement bij de SGB. Diverse eigen locomotieven vaak ook gast materieel is aanwezig om dit evenement op te luisteren. Dit jaar was de 'Blauwe Engel' van het spoorwegmuseum aanwezig. Dit dieseltreinstel is vernoemd naar Marlene Dietrich, die op het moment dat het voor het eerst in Nederland op de rails kwam, wereldberoemd was.

Diverse treinen reden tussen Goes en Hoedekenskerke. Natuurlijk veel gefotografeerd langs het spoor, maar een ritje in de Blauwe Engel en de stoomtrein kon natuurlijk ook niet achter blijven. Verder hebben de kinderen zich uitstekend vermaakt in de speeltuin. Het was een geslaagde dag uit voor de hele familie.

This year the 'Blue Angel' of the Dutch railway museum was present. This diesel train set is named after Marlene Dietrich, who was world famous when this train got into service in the Netherlands.

Several trains ran between Goes and Hoedekenskerke. Of course I made a lot photographs along the track, but a ride in the Blue Angel and the steam train could not be left behind. Furthermore, the children had a great time in the playground. It was a nice day out for the whole family.

'Spuren in die Vergangenheit' ist die jährliche Veranstaltung der SGB. Verschiedene eigene Lokomotiven, oft auch Gast Züge, verleihen dieser Veranstaltung Glanz. In diesem Jahr war der 'Blaue Engel' des Eisenbahnmuseums anwesend. Dieses Dieselzugset ist nach Marlene Dietrich benannt, die weltberühmt war, als es in den Niederlanden zum ersten Mal auf die Schienen kam.

Mehrere Züge fuhren zwischen Goes und Hoedekenskerke. Natürlich habe ich viele Fotos entlang der Strecke gemacht, aber eine Fahrt mit dem Blauen Engel und dem Dampfzug konnte auch nicht zurückgelassen werden. Außerdem hatten die Kinder eine tolle Zeit auf dem Spielplatz. Es war ein erfolgreicher Tag für die ganze Familie.

Samen met mijn zoon zijn we twee dagen naar de MBS Najaarsstoomdagen geweest. Dit jaar reed, naast de Wismar railbus, de Magda en Kikker, de ELNA 152 in het zwart weer mee. Ook de gastloc SHM 6513 kwam in actie. De twee locjes MBS 12 Rij-ijzer, 't Gekje' en MBS 10 'Nijverdal' mochten een ritje naar Zoutindustrie maken. Helaas raakte daarbij Rij-ijzer defect en moest teruggesleept worden door de ELNA. Op zaterdagavond werd er een night shooting georganiseerd, wat in mijn ogen wel een hoogtepunt was van het weekend. Zeker later op de avond, waren wij nog de enigen op het depot en konden we nog vele mooie plaatjes schieten.

My son and I went to the MBS Autumn Steam Days for two days. This year, in addition to the Wismar railbus, the Magda, and the Kikker, the ELNA 152, all black, was also participating. Die Gastlokomotive SHM 6513 war ebenfalls im Einsatz. Die beiden Lokomotiven MBS 12 Rij-ijzer, 't Gekje' und MBS 10 'Nijverdal' unternahmen eine Fahrt nach Zoutindustrie. Leider hatte Rij-ijzer eine Panne und musste von der ELNA zurückgeschleppt werden. Am Samstagabend fand ein Nachtfotoshooting statt, das meiner Meinung nach ein Höhepunkt des Wochenendes war. Vor allem später am Abend waren wir die Einzigen im Depot und konnten viele schöne Fotos machen.

New Haven Railroad manifest freight train is seen operating on the Maybrook main line while being led by ALCO FA-1 # 0412, 2-FB-1's & FA-1 units in New York State in the early-mid 1950's. This trains consist appears to be made up of mostly boxcars.

The Railroad Museum of Greater Cincinnati is in Latonia, Kentucky. The volunteers restore the old rail equipment. It is open to the public with a small charge and a real find for rail buffs. Closed yesterday so I shot through the wire fence. Lots of historical equipment in this yard.

Voorheen kwamen we regelmatig naar de ZLSM voor de stoomtreindagen. Helaas zijn die enkele jaren niet meer gehouden. Maar in 2023 was het gelukkig weer zover. De eigen 1040 reed onder stoom samen met de HSIJ 22 'Tom' en HSIJ 57 ' Bonne'. Ook stichting Crew 2454 met de 2454 en de mP 3029, de SMMR 2225, de SHD 2205 en De Karel stel 466 waren aanwezig. De SSN kwam met de 01 1075 en 23 023 met een extra rit langs. Er reden veel personentreinen, maar ook enkele goederentreinen voor de fotografen. Een erg geslaagd evenement op een schitterende dag.

We used to come to the ZLSM regularly for the steam train days. Unfortunately, they were not held for a few years. But in 2023 it was fortunately time again. Wir kamen regelmäßig zu den Dampfzugtagen der ZLSM. Leider haben sie mehreren Jahren nicht mehr stattgefunden. Aber glücklicherweise ist es 2023 erneut organisiert. Die eigene 1040 fuhr zusammen mit der HSIJ 22 „Tom“ und der HSIJ 57 „Bonne“ unter Dampf. Ebenfalls anwesend waren die Crew 2454 Foundation mit der 2454 und der mP 3029, die SMMR 2225, die SHD 2205 und das De Karel Set 466. Die SSN kam mit der 01 1075 und 23 023 mit einer Sonderfahrt aus Rotterdam. Es waren viele Personenzüge, aber auch einige Güterzüge für die Fotografen da. Eine sehr gelungene Veranstaltung an einem wunderschönen Tag.

Dit keer wilde ik, naar aanleiding van foto's die ik in Fb had gezien, eens naar de VSM. Samen met mijn oudste zoon op pad naar Loenen, waar we bijna een privé showtje goederenwagens rangeren hadden. Een groot deel van de ochtend hebben we bij de VSM doorgebracht, waarna we in de middag naar Zwolle zijn gegaan om daar nog de 1700 in dienst te bekijken.

Every year the National Steam Train Day is organized during Ascension Day. We can usually be found at the SGB or the RTM. This time, based on photos I had seen in Facebook, I wanted to go to the VSM. Together with my eldest son we went to Loenen, where we almost had a private show of shunting freight wagons. We spent a large part of the morning at the VSM, after which we went to Zwolle in the afternoon to view the 1700 in service there.

Jedes Jahr wird am Himmelfahrtstag der Nationale Dampfzugtag organisiert. In der Regel sind wir beim SGB oder beim RTM zu finden. Diesmal wollte ich, basierend auf Fotos, die ich auf Facebook gesehen hatte, zum VSM gehen. Zusammen mit meinem ältesten Sohn fuhren wir nach Loenen, wo wir fast eine Privatschau von Rangiergüterwagen hatten. Wir verbrachten den größten Teil des Vormittags im VSM und fuhren dann am Nachmittag nach Zwolle, um den dort im Einsatz befindlichen 1700 zu besichtigen.

Penn Central former New Haven Railroad FM H16-44 diesel electric locomotive # 5169 is seen in a yard area among other PC locomotives, ca 1970. This FM H16-44 was among the second group of these locomotives purchased by the New Haven Railroad in 1956. Some called these engines Baby Trainmasters because their carbody was very similar although smaller. Originally when first purchased these engines had steam generators so they could be used in passenger service.

Voorheen kwamen we regelmatig naar de ZLSM voor de stoomtreindagen. Helaas zijn die enkele jaren niet meer gehouden. Maar in 2023 was het gelukkig weer zover. De eigen 1040 reed onder stoom samen met de HSIJ 22 'Tom' en HSIJ 57 ' Bonne'. Ook stichting Crew 2454 met de 2454 en de mP 3029, de SMMR 2225, de SHD 2205 en De Karel stel 466 waren aanwezig. De SSN kwam met de 01 1075 en 23 023 met een extra rit langs. Er reden veel personentreinen, maar ook enkele goederentreinen voor de fotografen. Een erg geslaagd evenement op een schitterende dag.

We used to come to the ZLSM regularly for the steam train days. Unfortunately, they were not held for a few years. But in 2023 it was fortunately time again. Their own 1040 ran under steam together with the HSIJ 22 'Tom' and HSIJ 57 'Bonne'. Stichting Crew 2454 with the 2454 and the mP 3029, the SMMR 2225, the SHD 2205 and De Karel set 466 were also present. The SSN came along with the 01 1075 and 23 023 with an extra train from Rotterdam. Many passenger trains ran, but also some freight trains were scheduled for the photographers. A very successful event on a beautiful day.

Wir kamen regelmäßig zu den Dampfzugtagen der ZLSM. Leider haben sie mehreren Jahren nicht mehr stattgefunden. Aber glücklicherweise ist es 2023 erneut organisiert. Die eigene 1040 fuhr zusammen mit der HSIJ 22 „Tom“ und der HSIJ 57 „Bonne“ unter Dampf. Ebenfalls anwesend waren die Crew 2454 Foundation mit der 2454 und der mP 3029, die SMMR 2225, die SHD 2205 und das De Karel Set 466. Die SSN kam mit der 01 1075 und 23 023 mit einer Sonderfahrt aus Rotterdam. Es waren viele Personenzüge, aber auch einige Güterzüge für die Fotografen da. Eine sehr gelungene Veranstaltung an einem wunderschönen Tag.

Voordat we naar Plandampf 'Dampf trifft Kies III' in het Werratal gingen, verbleven mijn vader en ik nog drie dagen in de Harz, om daar alvast van stoom te kunnen genieten bij de HSB. De Selketalbahn is in mijn ogen een van de mooiste lijntjes waar met gemak de trein is te volgen en veel mooie foto's gemaakt kunnen worden. Maar ook de Harzquerbahn en Wernigerode werden bezocht.

Before we went to Plandampf 'Dampf trifft Kies III' in the Werrtal valley, my father and I stayed in the Harz for three more days to enjoy some steam at the HSB. The Selketalbahn is in my opinion one of the most beautiful lines where you can easily follow the train and many beautiful pictures can be taken. But the Harzquerbahn and Wernigerode were also visited.

Bevor wir zu Plandampf 'Dampf trifft Kies III' ins Werrtal fuhren, blieben mein Vater und ich noch drei Tage im Harz, um an der HSB Dampf zu genießen. Die Selketalbahn ist meiner Meinung nach eine der schönsten Strecken auf der man dem Zug bequem folgen kann und viele schöne Bilder gemacht werden können. Aber auch die Harzquerbahn und Wernigerode wurden besucht.

In 1908 werd de eerste Elektrische spoorlijn in Nederland in gebruik genomen. Deze spoorlijn verbond Rotterdam Hofplein en Scheveningen Kurhaus. De spoorlijn werd geëxploiteerd door de ZHESM (Zuid Hollandse Elektrische Spoorweg Maatschappij).

In Leidschendam werd een werkplaats gebouwd, waar materieel onderhouden werd. Deze werkplaats bestaat nog steeds en vierde op 13 december 2008 haar 100 jarig bestaan. divers materieel werd tentoongesteld, waaronder het, helaas de dag daarop bij rangeerwerkzaamheden beschadigde, stel 419.

In 1908 the first electric railway line in the Netherlands was put into use. This railway line connected Rotterdam Hofplein and Scheveningen Kurhaus. The railway line was operated by the ZHESM (South Holland Electric Railway Company).

A workshop was built in Leidschendam, where the trains were maintained. This workshop still exists and celebrated its 100th anniversary on December 13th 2008. Various trains were exhibited, including the set 419, which was unfortunately damaged the following day during shunting work.
