At 05:29:21 MWT (± 2 seconds), the device exploded with an energy equivalent to around 20 kilotons of TNT (84 TJ). The desert sand, largely made of silica, melted and became a mildly radioactive light green glass, which was named trinitite. It left a crater in the desert 5 feet (1.5 m) deep and 30 feet (9.1 m) wide.] At the time of detonation, the surrounding mountains were illuminated "brighter than daytime" for one to two seconds, and the heat was reported as "being as hot as an oven" at the base camp. The observed colors of the illumination changed from purple to green and eventually to white. The roar of the shock wave took 40 seconds to reach the observers. It was felt over 100 miles (160 km) away, and the mushroom cloud reached 7.5 miles (12.1 km) in height.

All being built and developed by Oogie and Ken- the white "gun" contains a bluetooth reader that registers an ID from a tag on a sheep's ear. The Android handheld (actually a device designed for kids) contains a database app for recording and saving all the vitals as measured in the field.

Lothian's experimental LED front destination screen is seen here working Service 10 and the beauty of electronic devices like this is that they can be changed simply and at the touch of a button. One day this might allow for greater flexibility when it comes to sudden alterations that have to be made along the route.
In this shot note the pinky shade of the intermediate and service number details while the destination 'Western Harbour' is now more bold and in a stronger white. This is clearly visible to the eye but may just have been an error or alteration on the day who knows? One thing is for sure we should be ready to snap at 846 everytime we see her to compare all the different versions of text.

The Royal Scottish Academy gallery was designed by William Henry Playfair during the 1820's. Along with the adjacent National Gallery of Scotland, their neo-classical design helped transform Edinburgh in to a modern day Athens of the North.
The statue of Queen Victoria on the top the building was sculpted by Sir John Steell. Exhibition space is shared throughout the year by the RSA with the NGS and other exhibiting societies, notably the Society of Scottish Artists, Visual Arts Scotland and the Royal Society of Watercolourists.

CPI’s Valvealert™ provides a total solution that encompasses data collection & analysis, alert detection & triggering and report generation with the operation of reciprocating compressors. Valvealert™ is a technology that records an acoustic emission (AE) and temperature fingerprint for the operation of each valve (baseline). Data is analyzed against the baselines to determine whether anomalies with the operation of the compressor are present. The Valvealert™ records data non-intrusively from quick fit connectors that are bonded to the surface of each valve plate cover. The data is uploaded to a PC or laptop where the data is automatically analyzed and the necessary alerts are triggered. This provides a very versatile and flexible way of monitoring compressors.

The church of San Giuseppe is a place of Catholic worship located in the homonymous Via San Giuseppe, near Piazza Santa Croce in Florence . In Florence a church is also dedicated to St. Joseph in via Santa Caterina d'Alessandria and an oratory in via Sant'Antonino , but this church is the most important, both for the historical-artistic profile and because parish .
The church was therefore built on a project by Baccio d'Agnolo and starting from 1519 , being consecrated in 1522 to St. Joseph and St. Maria del Giglio, although the works lasted until 1583 . In that year, thanks to the intervention of the Grand Duchess Bianca Cappello , the complex was given to the friars of San Francesco di Paola .
In the eighteenth century the interior was frescoed by Sigismondo Betti and Pietro Anderlini ( 1752 ) and the new façade was built ( 1759 ). The friars lived there until the suppression of 1784 , commissioned by the Grand Duke Pietro Leopoldo . Later the church passed to the secular clergy and became a parish ; the Lorraines held the patronage and in those years promoted a remake. The convent, on the other hand, hosted various welfare institutions, such as the convent of the Fanciulle del Ceppo .
During the Florence flood the church was badly damaged, blowing up the entire floor, which was rebuilt years later, in a simple terracotta. The tombstones were lost, including that of a parish priest who had had you engraved "Solus in pace vixi / Solus in pace quiesco".
The façade of the church of San Giuseppe dates back to the eighteenth century, with interventions up to the middle of the nineteenth century. It is salient , with the central part surmounted by a triangular pediment ideally supported by two large smooth Tuscan piers . At the center of the façade, the portal opens, surmounted by a rectangular window that gives light inside.

Now for something completely different! "Alonzo and the Devices" fill auditorium of the Grandview Legion with an amazing set of original Rhythm & Blues with a jazz feel. The crowd loved it! The dance floor was full of people dancing to songs that were being played live for the first ever! Alonzo Munoz Wang brought his music to a live show and it was amazing!

Walmer Castle is an artillery fort originally constructed by Henry VIII in Walmer, Kent, between 1539 and 1540. It formed part of the King's Device programme to protect against invasion from France and the Holy Roman Empire, and defended the strategically important Downs anchorage off the English coast. Comprising a keep and four circular bastions, the moated stone castle covered 0.61 acres (0.25 ha) and had 39 firing positions on the upper levels for artillery. It cost the Crown a total of £27,092 to build the three castles of Walmer, Sandown, and Deal, which lay adjacent to one another along the coast and were connected by earthwork defences.[a] The original invasion threat passed, but during the Second English Civil War of 1648–49, Walmer was seized by pro-Royalist insurgents and was only retaken by Parliamentary forces after several months' fighting.
In the 18th century, Walmer became the official residence of the Lord Warden of the Cinque Ports and was gradually modified from a military fortification into a private residence. Various Prime Ministers and prominent politicians were appointed as Lord Warden, including William Pitt, the Duke of Wellington and Lord Granville, who adapted parts of the Tudor castle as living spaces and constructed extensive gardens around the property. By 1904, the War Office agreed that Walmer had no remaining military utility and it passed to the Ministry of Works. Successive Lord Wardens continued to use the property but it was also opened to the public. Walmer was no longer considered a particularly comfortable or modern residence, however, and Lord Curzon blamed the poor condition of the castle for his wife's death in 1906.
Lord Wardens since the Second World War have included Winston Churchill, Robert Menzies and Queen Elizabeth The Queen Mother, but they have made only intermittent use of Walmer Castle. In the 21st century, Walmer Castle is run as a tourist attraction by English Heritage. The interior of the castle displays a range of historical objects and pictures associated with the property and its Lord Wardens, protected since the 19th century by special legislation. The grounds include the Queen Mother's Garden, designed by Penelope Hobhouse as a 95th birthday gift for Elizabeth in 1997. (en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Walmer_Castle)
This antenna farm emits so much radio energy that it shuts down the anti-theft devices in most cars preventing them from starting again (unless you know where the cutoff switch is)

The Olympic Games are measures of human excellence but what happens when those measures are disrupted by self-augmentation and body modification? Our biological apparatus is in flux, vulnerable, yet re-imagined by technology. What will ability and disability mean in an era of genetically modified athletes and surgically sculpted children? How are artists contributing to this research and debate? For example, genetically screening for ‘perfect pitch’ may produce ideal singers, but whose ideal? Alternatively, what will the integration of future technology within biology mean for how humans communicate with each other via performances (dance, music or sport)? .

On Saturday 16th August 2014, a World War One load weighing 72 tons and measuring 80 feet long travelled from Bovington to the Great Dorset Steam Fair site at Tarrant Hinton.
The load will form part of a special WW1 display at this year’s event in tribute to the centenary anniversary of the First World War.
The crew were dressed in British Army uniform from the time and the load was flanked by several other army vehicles in an attempt to recreate an original WW1 convoy, the likes of which will never have been seen after 1919.
Two McLaren locomotives pulled a Pickfords trailer carrying a 1914 WW1 Holt 75 HP Gun Tractor, which was originally used to tow a field gun. There was also a steam lorry, a Daimler lorry and a traction wagon. The load had an escort vehicle at the front and rear with a small number of supporting vehicles.
