I was early in Almere Centrum and decided to take the train to Hilversum and make a switch at Almere Poort. Had to wait for my train after making "the stairs" shot.
[blinding summer sun series, picture #1]
Sometimes the summer sun blinds you... I'm going to try to show you what I mean with this week's series...
All pictures were made with the same camera (Flexaret VI), on the same roll of film (Velvia 50), on the same day (August 18th).

Did Someone Pee on my Car?
I got off work yesterday, and found this. Did someone really piss on my car?
If it is piss, they
a) didn't have a very full bladder
b) stood on top of their car
I wonder what I did to piss them off. I piss people off left and right. My every breath is blasphemy. I have Anti-Bush stickers and I work in God's Country. Wall to wall right wing morons. It's not really a question of IF, just What.
It is also possible they threw a warm soda on my car. All their ice had melted.
I woke up a bit late this morning and ended up walking to work about 15 minutes after when I normally set out. That meant the sun was all up and in the sky already and crazy shit like that. It was a lovely crisp morning, and I even got to walk through a bizarre mist cloud at the first farm field, the kind of cloud that would, in a horror movie, be murderous. In real life, it just seemed to be a preliminary indicator that everyone in my household would have a thoroughly pleasant Friday.

The Slottsparken surround the Royal Palace and this is the scene that I pass everyday on the way to the Wintershall office. It's a dirty job but somebody's got to do it.
When we arrived in Oslo late April the season seemed about a month behind the UK but now it's probably a month ahead. Today was forecast at 29 degrees C and it's been 25+ for the last week warmer than places in Greece or Spain!
Here's my new old friend
Claudia Rose
dancing as friends jam on old
songs after her recent performance
at Kulak's Woodshed
in North Hollywood
with the Bilgewater Brothers.
She & I are kindred souls,
both drawn like Hollywood magnets
to the spirit of the jazz age. She's
a young woman
with an old soul
and an amazing singing voice-
haunting, enchanting.
I love this photo
because it captures her spirit -
the happy way she floats and
dances through life. She is
an exultant spirit.
Ran into a guy last night
at a club in Sierra Madre
where I was performing -
and i won't quote him exactly
as it's too vulgar even for me -
but he informed me that
these photos of
Claudia Rose
excited him in a big way.
Dedicada a raul gonza|ez, porque sé que le gustan tanto las vespas como las bicis. ¡A ver si vemos algo más de lo que le sacas a tu Rokkor! ;)
Dedicated to raul gonza|ez, because I know he likes both vespas and bicycles. How nice would it be to see more of the pictures you take out of your Rokkor! ;)

When I have my Voigtländer Vito with me and I wear this T-shirt, the music in my head urges me to make self-portraits...
Happy weekend everyone! :)
Cuando llevo mi Voigtländer Vito conmigo y llevo puesta esta camiseta, la música que suena en mi cabeza me obliga a hacerme autoretratos...

1983 Honda Civic 1300 w/stock 4speed
This car is so much more comfortable now with the '98 civic seats we swapped in.

Not the fastest or most comfortable way to get around Hong Kong, but the historic trams are really cool
The earrings shown in these 4 pics were made by the sweet, talented "Gita Rau"....this pair is called "Cone Spiral" & she makes them under the name ~Beguiled~...here is a link to her stream
While everyone's rushing home on a Tuesday night, I'm here bs-ing around snapping pics of them mid-commute, I never really stopped to look around GCT and I must say it's really a marvel of modern construction.

Took this vertical perspective from the Chong Nonsi BTS station about a year ago. I've been going through all of my files and importing RAW images into Lightroom 3 and from time to time run across one that is interesting in some way. I thought this one had a nice perspective to it and figured I'd share.
I had often wondered why they, the government people, were building such a long catwalk down this stretch of road. I got the answer not too long ago. It was for that special bus line that gets its very own dedicated lane running down Thanon Naradhiwas Rajanagarindra. Jeez, that sure narrowed that big ass road down to traffic jam size. IMHO... what a screw up. I guess they couldn't add another train that direction, so the bus was the next logical choice. I hope it helps some commuters out who can't afford to take cars cause it will likely create a bunch of new ones who no longer want the hassle of added traffic down their old beat, or maybe that was the point.
Pear County Chopper Trike creeps into Henry Ford Goes Surfing, with Bounce For Glory,
(with orange pennant flag waving above) pausing behind, waiting to sprint past in the Ventura KSR road race segment. Bounce For Glory lapped the field again, repeating 2006's victorious road segment. Remember: These are people-powered machines!!

No this is not an image; it's much more than that.
It's a concept.
