I think it's time for a new angle...

This tree at the top of Union Street is certainly a survivor in the Urban Jungle. It always seems out of place in the surrounding concrete.

The maple trees barely got their little puffy bud things before the leaves just popped out. Thanks, 90-degree weather!

Rocket dog tennis shoes + Halloween socks in February + black pinstripe pants = "Business Casual" (as far as I'm concerned)

I really didn't want to post another picture about the weather but today I was incredibly busy and I didn't have time to shoot that many pictures. I actually just got back home a few minutes ago around 11:30pm because I was working on some stuff for this big event tomorrow. I won't discuss this event until after it is done so most probably with tomorrows picture I will talk about it. Believe it or not I liked todays weather. I don't like the sun a lot, I prefer the weather when its dark and cloudy. Even if today it was a dust storm but at-least it hides the sun. I keep telling Nat we should move up to Norway or something where they spend like 8 months without seeing the sun. That would be really cool.

this is a big leaf i sometimes walk by on the way to work.

( am trying new routes in hopes of new things to photograph, but some of the familiar sights still catch my eye... this time i turned back to see the plant slightly backlit through light clouds. hmmm. perhaps i should walk to the bus backwards.)

It's the English summer.

It's that time of the year again, time to go and take in some new sights instead of the daily commuter's view out of a train window. I'll be off for my annual London fortnight, spending my time discussing and learning more about book bindings and book illustration techniques, visiting some lovely places in between, and going to see the Summer Exhibition at the Royal Academy of Arts with a painter friend.

I'll be back later in the summer. Or, that is, maybe. To be honest, I've become a bit Flickr-exhausted, for different reasons recently, and the thought of quitting it altogether has entered my mind more than once in the last few weeks. Well, I haven't decided yet, but it's good that I'm off on holiday and without internet for a while, and what will be afterwards, well, I'll see when I'm back.

Until we meet again, have a wonderful summer, my dear Flickr friends, enjoy your well earned summer holiday, wherever and however you're spending it! :)

Kennelijk heeft ook het NS materieel last van het winterweer. Vandaag werd er een Plan V treinstel ingezet als Sprinter (stoptrein) naar Hoofddorp en verder.

Alternative title: "Come and experience the UK's favourite optician", as sign in the middle says. You must either go and experience them or enlarge the photo if you are not able to read it. However, enlarging reveals the greatest flaw of merging the two original frames; but I wanted to preserve the straight view instead.

See the faraway end of the complex and more here.

This merged picture (a complete and a half frame) actually describes the other end of "Shopping City" introduced previously, and was taken from this point.

Also a part of my "City Crossings" series, the first one can be seen here.
