I found Gold in my Dad's pond. Maybe little lights, reflections & signs from my mother's soul, floating around in the water ........

Shot at Fiumicino Airport, Rome.

One from the archives... I, often, cross paths with this rafter of birds. This day they actually stopped traffic. I thought it was a fitting image for Flag Day and Happy Fence Friday.

Sorry for not visiting your photostream in a while. I am way behind. Soon my schedule will allow for regular participation. Thanks for visiting and commenting!

A Leeds - Carlisle bound 158 service at Ribblehead, Yorkshire.

A Northern Rail 158 heads north with a midday Leeds - Carlisle service from Garsdale on the Settle & Carlisle Railway against the back drop of High Abbotside. In this view the railway visually marks the border between Cumbria and North Yorkshire. High Abbotside lies in north Yorkshire while the foreground lies in Cumbria.

I'm getting tired of your inaccurate focus peaking, NEX-7! And your noisy high ISO performance. I want more from you!

we spent ages trying to get the perfect wellies in the waves shot. we failed.

Sometimes when I get tired, I just lay down on the floor and stare at the ceiling...

I know my face is weird...and yea the

reactions I got already:

"omg is that a pregnant woman's belly button?"- NK

"it looks like an outie" - NK

"oh no it's a skittle" - NK

"dude, grudge eyes" -NK

Note: it's not a skittle or belly (ew), it's my light... :)

as i wandered through the iron arches of this old bridge, i captured a fleeting moment of solitude. the sunlight poured through the gaps, casting intricate shadows that danced on the pavement. the man, lost in his thoughts, cradled his jacket as if it were a shield against the world. the urban backdrop with its timeless architecture and lush greenery framed his quiet journey, creating a harmonious blend of nature and industry. this image, bathed in monochrome, speaks to the intersection of daily life and the silent whispers of the city’s history.

Set the camera on interval timer on the dashboard and let it rip for the drive home from work. This is a little different which is why I like it - I like what the flare adds.

ISO720 chosen by Auto ISO simply cause I didn't want to crash.

Taken at Liverpool Street Station in London. This lady caught my eye as she waited for her friend she obviously ensures she travels fully prepared for every eventuality. The red wellies and matching fingernails are the cherry on the cake. I do hope she is English to help keep up our great tradition of being slightly eccentric. I assume she was on holiday and not on her weekday commute in to her office job in the city :-)

At this rate, these commuters and haulers will be at Port Hurricane, downtown Mystic Beach, or wherever they need to be, in no time.

Of course, traffic could come to a standstill at any moment.

Lively hustle and bustle of city life.

After seeing the results of my DIY respooling of 35mm film into 127 spools, I knew I had to give it a try with color slides... Have a nice weekend everyone! :)

Después de ver los resultados de rebobinar película de 35mm en bobinas 127, supe enseguida que tenía que probarlo también con película de diapositivas... Que tengáis un feliz fin de semana! :)

The morning sun can blind you as well, especially when reflected on the river...

El sol de la mañana también puede ser cegador, especialmente cuando se refleja en el río...

A Erkner bound S-Bahn commuter service prepares to stop at Berlin Karlshorst. Electric commuter services have been running these tracks since 1928. The tracks here were briefly converted to Russian broad gauge in July 1945 to accommodate Josef Stalin's trip to the Potsdam Conference, who had insisted on not changing trains due to the German and Russian gauge difference. The tracks were changed back to standard gauge the following September.
