DB Schenker Rail (UK) Ltd's class 66 (JT42CWR) number 66106 in English, Welsh and Scottish Railway maroon livery with zigzag gold band, large number and EWS logo in English, Welsh and Scottish Railway maroon livery with zigzag gold band, large number and EWS logo. The locomotive was photographed working 4O57, hauling Unit45.com intermodal containers mounted on IKA 'Megafret' 'low floor' twin intermodal flat wagons containing manufactured goods, drinks and retail produce from Hams Hall Birmingham railfreight terminal and logistics hub owned and operated by Associated British Ports (ABP) to Dollands Moor on 19 June 2015.

 

The loaded wagons continue on through the channel tunnel to Calais Frethun hauled by a class 92, before being taken on by other locomotives through Northern France and Switzerland via Saint-Louis in North-Eastern France, on the German and Swiss borders just north of Basel, to DB Schenker's Domodossola intermodal terminal in the Piedmont region of Northern Italy (see route map). According to DB Schenker the entire journey taking 35 hours. Even on a sunny evening it is still a struggle to photograph this working here in the fading light at the moment.

For the third day in a row DB Schenker's class 66 (JT42CWR) number 66075 in English, Welsh and Scottish Railway maroon with zigzag gold band works 4O57 from Hams Hall Birmingham railfreight terminal and logistics hub owned and operated by Associated British Ports (ABP) (www.hamshallrailterminal.co.uk/Trains/) to Dollands Moor. The IKA 'Megafret' 'low floor' twin intermodal flat wagons are then hauled through the channel tunnel by a class 92, then taken on by other locomotives through Northern France and across Switzerland to DB Schenker's Domodossola intermodal terminal in the Piedmont region of Northern Italy. With the Citroen/Peugeot car trains having ceased operation, the only international freight traffic via Vallorbe to be seen in late 2011 comprised the CMF Logistics cereal trains between France and Italy. International Freight 46735 from Perrigny Triage, France to S. Martino Cava, Italy comprised 20 loaded hoppers and SBB Cargo Re 6/6 locomotive 11605 'Uster' would take the train via the Rhone Valley to Domodossola.

SBB Cargo Re 4/4" 11266 heads north at Wichtrach with a train of both sheeted and bolster steel carrier wagons en route from Domodossola to Basel and beyond. There were both VTG (80) and NACCO (84) Shimmns wagons that carried both ArcelorMittal and Steel Track branding in the consist.

Come test per il futuro cambio d'orario di dicembre, nell'estate del 2016 per due weekend i treni RE Lötschberger hanno circolato con cadenza oraria fino a Domodossola. Nella foto una composizione pronta alla partenza dalla stazione italiana per fare ritorno a Berna.

In Oestrich-Winkel an der rechten Rheinstrecke (KBS 466) enstand diese Aufnahme:

Kurz vor der ehemaligen Awanst Koepp im Stadtteil Oestrich konnte ich die 185 580 von Crossrail mit den fotogenen Lkw Walter Trailern als DGS 43700 (Domodossola/I- Duisburg Ruhrort Hafen/D) fotografieren.

 

Leider steht der Baum nicht mehr.

Due to someone trespassing on the line at Peckham Rye all services travelling via the Catford Loop were suspended causing a delay to 66154 working 4O57 having travelled from Bescot to Hams Hall earlier in the day (66154 WBAT BESCOT DS 654G57CF02 8 * HAMSHALRC N).

 

DB Schenker Rail (UK) Ltd's class 66 (JT42CWR) number 66154 in English, Welsh and Scottish Railway maroon livery with zigzag gold band, large number and EWS logo. The locomotive was photographed working 4O57, hauling Unit45.com intermodal containers mounted on IKA 'Megafret' 'low floor' twin intermodal flat wagons containing manufactured goods, drinks and retail produce from Hams Hall Birmingham railfreight terminal and logistics hub (owned and operated by Associated British Ports (ABP) www.hamshallrailterminal.co.uk/Trains/) to Dollands Moor on 2 September 2014.

 

The loaded wagons continue on through the channel tunnel to Calais Frethun hauled by a class 92, before being taken on by other locomotives through Northern France and Switzerland via Saint-Louis in North-Eastern France, on the German and Swiss borders just north of Basel, to DB Schenker's Domodossola intermodal terminal in the Piedmont region of Northern Italy (see route map www.flickr.com/photos/99279135/14945660579/). According to DB Schenker the entire journey taking 35 hours.
