Contemporary art exhibition, Domodossola, Italy

The Simplon line linking Lausanne to Domodossola (Italy was opened in several stages, including 1860, for the Lausanne-Villeneuve section, which was made double track in 1900 and then electrified in 15Kv alternative in 1924. Vevey station is characterized by the persistence of old equipment at the platform level and some old pylons dating from the electrification of the line that is 100 years old (on the right in the photo). The line has recently been adapted for double-deck train traffic.

La ligne du Simplon reliant Lausanne à Domodossola (Italie a été ouverte en plusieurs étapes dont 1860 pour la section Lausanne-Villeneuve qui fut mise en double voie en 1900 puis électrifiée en 15Kv alternatif en 1924. La gare de Vevey se caractérise par la persistance d'anciens équipements au niveau des quais tout comme la présence de quelques anciens pylônes datant de l'électrification de la ligne il y a 100 ans (à droite sur la photo). La ligne a récemment été adaptée pour la circulation de trains à deux niveaux.

SBB 420 327-9 (11327) and 11677 head 53051 Basel SBB RB Gr D - Domodossola II with Norfolkline, GTS, CNC and 'alberti e santi' curtainsider. I am sure this normally operates as 40051 Zeebrugge-Ramskapelle - Piacenza, which Crossrail used to operate in Switzerland until the beginning of 2017.
