SBB 420 327-9 (11327) and 11677 head 53051 Basel SBB RB Gr D - Domodossola II with Norfolkline, GTS, CNC and 'alberti e santi' curtainsider. I am sure this normally operates as 40051 Zeebrugge-Ramskapelle - Piacenza, which Crossrail used to operate in Switzerland until the beginning of 2017.

La nonna Ina (Elvira Buy, Vicenza 1903 - Roma 1992) con sua sorella Anita Buy (nata nel 1914 a Domodossola) affacciate al balcone. Foto scattata nel 1934 c. probabilmente a Vicenza.

Si legge il numero civico 18, riuscirò a trovare questa casa, se esiste ancora dopo i bombardamenti della seconda guerra mondiale? Villino a due piani con giardino, finestre piano terra rettangolari (bifore), balcone centrale in cemento con balaustrata a colonne, finestre al primo piano ad arco (bifore), aperture del sottotetto.

Devo ringraziare mia sorella Daniela per aver trovato questa bellissima foto incollata sull'album di nonna Ina. Scansionata e ritoccata con photoshop.

You can read the house number 18. Will I be able to find this house, if it still exists after the bombardments of the Second World War? Two-storey villa with garden, rectangular mullioned windows on the ground floor windows, central concrete balcony with balustrade with columns, arched mullioned windows on the first floor), attic openings.

I have to thank my sister Daniela for having found this photo glued on grandma Ina's photo album. Scanned and retouched with photoshop.

A stormy day at the Centovalli Railway: with the track being closed at the Swiss side today 1st April 2024 due to bad weather, ABe 4/6 62 ("Re") and ABe 4/6 63 ("Malesco") pass by Malesco without sticking to the timetable, heading towards Domodossola.

BLS Re 4/4 181 und Re 4/4 180 mit dem weissen Hangartner GK 43725 Rostock Seehafen - Domodossola II in Ostermundigen. Leider werden die schönen grünen, schweizer Hangartner-Planen durch weisse "DB Schenker"-Planen ersetzt...

BLS Re 4/4 180 and Re 4/4 181 hauls the former Hangartner-train (now: "white Hangartner") GK 43725 Rostock Seehafen - Domodossola II between Ostermundigen and Gümligen in Bern.

The Domodossola-Locarno international train twists through the vineyards below Intragna.

Cereal traffic between France and Italy produces almost daily sightings of block trains of Monfer branded hoppers behind SBB Cargo traction. International freight 47644 was passing St-Triphon Gare and was returning empty wagons from Fossano, Italy via Domodossola. SBB Cargo Class Re4/4" locomotive 11262 would deliver the train to Vallorbe.
