I can't remember why, but me and Anthony were talking about what a Cyclops pug would look like the other day. So I drew one. I offered the drawing to Anthony to stick above his desk, but for some reason he wasn't keen. Poor Cyclops Pug.
Scaled for Mobile Frame Zero: Intercept Orbit.
The Cyclops class frigate is the modern, more well rounded successor to the Spearfisher class in every way. Increased hull plating, 4 missile tubes, anti-frame point defense guns, and a super heavy railgun; no expensive was sparred for the modern Martian defense fleet. The only area in which the Spearfisher class has an advantage is in their dedicated communications arrays, but this was less an oversight in the Cyclops class's creation and more part of the evolving design philosophies and needs of a modern defense force. Whereas the older frigate was expected to perform solo or twinned missions for weeks or months at a time through the Martian sphere of influence, the advent of mobile frames coupled with the rising tensions throughout human space called for a more war oriented footing. The new frigates were designed with the understanding they would always form part of a task force, and advanced C2 operations would be handled by dedicated platforms, usually the flag vessel. The ships of the Cyclops class are expected to hold to the defense line, protecting the more important ships in their formation, or forming a decisive spearhead of multiple ships diving into the enemy fleet.
Just playing around, I took a picture of leaves in very shallow water of one of the sloughs. When the image was expanded, it was a real surprise to see the cyclops and slaters!
Found near Center Point, Iowa.
I just realized I didn't have any photo of my cyclops on here! I got these off my tumblr from a year ago. I need to wear this head more often again!
Transported to the distant future, Cyclops finds himself face to face with an army of sentinels!
I came across KO Custom Minifig's awesome sentinel model (www.flickr.com/photos/ko_custom_legos/15391439452/in/date...), and I was blown away. It's way better than the official lego verison! Kyle was kind enough to share his model with me so I could make this. So go check it out! And thanks again, Kyle!
First of all, I am back home from a 2 weeks road trip from Seattle to San Francisco. This was a lot of fun. I visited gorgeous places and got to shoot seascapes and architecture. I can’t wait to start processing them, but since I’m leaving next week to shoot architecture photographs in Chicago, that will have to wait for a little while.
This image is the first of a series from the same building at MIT (Cambridge, MA) that I shot before my trip to the West Coast. It is the Ray and Maria Stata Center, designed by Pritzker-Prize winning Frank Gehry and finished in 2004. I took many pictures of this very interesting and unique building. You’ll see I have another vision of the same part of this construction (coming up very soon), as well as images looking like they come from a completely different building.
I love the streaks of light being reflected by the window, and the overall geometry of the walls and window. I was aiming for a very moody picture… and I’m pretty happy with the result
Lately, I have spent much more time processing my pictures than I did before. I think it makes a huge difference, and I believe that’s for the best. Overall, it took me nearly 40 hours for this one. This might explain why my pictures will come at a slower pace than before. I prefer to be less productive, but deliver much higher quality images. I think it’s a fair trade-off and hope you will forgive me for that.

One of the things i've always loved about Star Wars, is their ability to create these faceless characters that still seem to have personality in their mystique. So when i thought about having six distinct personalities to create, i really wanted one of them to be a an armored knight errant, a mysterious warrior type. What better character to use for a gunnery expert? i wanted something inhuman looking, bulls-eye-ish, but not over the top. A modified flight suit/helmet hopefully rather than a halloween costume. It's turning about to be harder than i thought. i feel like i used to draw nothing but these kinds of characters as a kid but somewhere along the line stopped. i'm pretty rusty.
A cable car slowly reaches its destination at Aiguille du Midi, Mont Blanc. Photo taken at 12,500 feet above the town of Chamonix.
My altitude sickness disappeared by the time I reached the mid-station, barely visible in the green area way below.

His eyes are portals to another universe... Not sure that it's a Chibi Lego one... but still :)
This is an entry for our Iron Builder round against Tyler (Legohaulic) and Michaela (Littlehaulic)! The seed part is the yellow rounded 1x2 slope.
