Cyclops is the Hrunting Mk.III Exoskeleton from HALO WARS. It's originally used to be an engineering mecha, then became a marines mecha in the game. This creation is referred to HALO WARS 2 version, which is with autocannon mounted on its right arm.
It is not a common mecha compared to Gundam, but more similar to Matrix APU. The shape is like giant as its name without head, instead it has a big eye, its cockpit window screen. By the way, in the game the window screen is golden, but there is no golden parts suitable for it. So I used bright orange parts to represent the window screen.
This creation I planned to build out long time ago, is now by using some technic and bionicle parts to solve some critical building issues. For example, the lower side of legs is composed of some bionicle parts, which could provide more support to its weight and also more flexible on its mobility. Moreover, the bionicle armor parts are also fit for the shape of cyclops's legs.
In the beginning, I built this mecha as buff as an America football player with ripped muscle arms and legs. However, the final size of creation is much more larger than the size in the game, which should be 3~4 human height.
Ok guys !
Nerd Spidey is here (done by Yatkuu) but I know one super-hero that wear more fantastics nerd glasses... Here comes Cyclops !!
4th entry for NerdVember... Enjoy !!
This fig is very simple because I didn't really know what to put for his torso so I based it on the X2 version with his trench-coat
So you know that feeling when you're sitting in the library and it feels like someone is reading over your shoulder?
I just realized I didn't have any photo of my cyclops on here! I got these off my tumblr from a year ago. I need to wear this head more often again!
I can't remember why, but me and Anthony were talking about what a Cyclops pug would look like the other day. So I drew one. I offered the drawing to Anthony to stick above his desk, but for some reason he wasn't keen. Poor Cyclops Pug.
Scaled for Mobile Frame Zero: Intercept Orbit.
The Cyclops class frigate is the modern, more well rounded successor to the Spearfisher class in every way. Increased hull plating, 4 missile tubes, anti-frame point defense guns, and a super heavy railgun; no expensive was sparred for the modern Martian defense fleet. The only area in which the Spearfisher class has an advantage is in their dedicated communications arrays, but this was less an oversight in the Cyclops class's creation and more part of the evolving design philosophies and needs of a modern defense force. Whereas the older frigate was expected to perform solo or twinned missions for weeks or months at a time through the Martian sphere of influence, the advent of mobile frames coupled with the rising tensions throughout human space called for a more war oriented footing. The new frigates were designed with the understanding they would always form part of a task force, and advanced C2 operations would be handled by dedicated platforms, usually the flag vessel. The ships of the Cyclops class are expected to hold to the defense line, protecting the more important ships in their formation, or forming a decisive spearhead of multiple ships diving into the enemy fleet.
Transported to the distant future, Cyclops finds himself face to face with an army of sentinels!
I came across KO Custom Minifig's awesome sentinel model (www.flickr.com/photos/ko_custom_legos/15391439452/in/date...), and I was blown away. It's way better than the official lego verison! Kyle was kind enough to share his model with me so I could make this. So go check it out! And thanks again, Kyle!
