I've shown this to several hardcore vehicle experts I know, and none of them can tell me what it is. Yeah, they unanimously said "It looks like Stan Mott's Cyclops." It has a mid-engine, the steering wheel from a motor boat, and a home-made plywood flatbed . . . and check out that weird caster layout of the front wheels. Deep in the weeds at Eagle Field. Full moon, red, green and white lights during a 188-second exposure.
It's been a long time since I posted an abandoned building in B&W. This is an image from May 2011, processed only yesterday. Yes, I'm a little bit behind :)

Not new, but fortunately timed pictures. This guy was literally the only thing in our house to fall over from an earthquake and is currently awaiting repair.
To me, this is the classic Holga effect. Relatively sharp center, blurred away from the center and vignetting.

Dice la leyenda que fue Polifemo quién los lanzo a Ulises cuando huía en sus naves, clavándolos en el mar....
The legend says that Poifemo, the cyclops, threw them to Ulyses when he was escaping with his vessels, putting them up into the sea...

Exploring the Alabama Hills: I just returned from a week-long scouting trip in the Alabama Hills of Eastern California, where I will be conducting a starry "NightScape" workshop in April 2014 (we will also be doing a lot of daytime photography).

My new ebook, Milky Way NightScapes, gives extensive details on my style of starry night landscape photography. Four chapters cover planning, scouting, forecasting star/landscape alignment, light painting, shooting techniques and post processing.

The Cyclops
~~~~~
What are some of the most unusual cars you've seen besides museums and car shows? This might be one! Look! Three headlights! This is a rare 1948 Tucker. I had never seen one before. And little wonder since only 51, including the prototype, were ever made, according to Road & Track Magazine. The third “Cyclops” headlight really made it for me. This was designed by Preston Tucker to swivel to light the way around corners. I photographed while hanging out with the two brothers who own Golden Cactus in Pearsonville, CA for several hours. Super nice people. And I did something rather silly. I had just purchased a used Nikon D750, and was excited to use it. However, I had put the fisheye lens on the other camera and was really into the fisheye for some reason that night, and never touched the new camera. Oh well! I used a handheld ProtoMachines LED2 light painting device to illuminate the car while the tripod-mounted camera shutter was open for this long exposure photo.
This female is brown species of the cyclops jumping spider, This female seems to be following the male that visited the other day,
i finally figured out why this seemingly-optimistic message bothered me.
it assumes i only have one eye.
