I decided to cook the applesauce with skins on and mill it afterwards.

Salmon starters, made with salmon jarred at the beginning of October.

Early dinner tonight. Stuffed pork chops, roasted new potatoes, fresh organic asparagus, wheat sourdough with roasted Spanish Piquillo peppers in olive oil and balsamic vinegar.

All the other shrimp with cajun powder applied.

Cooking in a strange kitchen is hard. Cooking in a poorly equipped strange kitchen where you are also expected to keep kosher is just silly.

Eating the results. We made spring rolls, tom yam goong (a spicy soup), green curry chicken, papaya salad, and a dessert with bananas and coconut milk.

looks like stella and i are starting a new project! a slight variation of the popular "365," i will be taking pictures everyday for a year...but not specifically of me! i'll be marrying my love of cooking and photography together and will be taking one (or maybe more) picture a day of food that i cook/eat. i'm really excited about this, since it will give me an excuse to start cooking more gourmet meals for myself [and the sweetheart, if he so wishes ;) ]

 

who doesn't love bagel bites! darn late night cravings...i even got nerb to eat one or two. it's not exactly the most preparation intensive, all i did was take them from the freezer and pop them in the oven, but seriously, being able to eat that which you are craving is soooo satisfying! :]
