The best Christmas Cookies ever! Made usually in Germany and I got them through Etsy again from Germany but late this year. Still they came, as well as a few in a gift package a few days ago. I used to make my own, if you check back amongst. my photos you will see them, but t hey are a lot of work and this time I purchased them. They are almost all gone because they are so delicious.

NB: Surprise of Surprises! Today I got 2 more smaller boxes and 1 larger box again, for free, from Germany, of these same cookies. How very kind of them and I will be able to share some with my twin sister who is still in hospital and a German friend we both worked with who lives close by and helps out in driving us if we have to go somewhere! She is a very kind friend!

Dairy-Free (Parve) Sugar Cookies

3 cups all-purpose flour

3/4 teaspoon baking powder

1/4 teaspoon salt

1 cup margarine (or Crisco)

Powdered sugar, for rolling out dough

Over: 375 F.

Sift together flour, baking powder, and salt.

Place margarine and sugar in bowl and beat until light in color. Add egg and milk and beat to combine, until mixture pulls away from the side of the bowl.

Wrap and refrigerate the dough about 2 hours.

Roll dough on powdered sugar, and cut to desired shapes.

Place on greased baking sheet and bake 7-9 minutes.

Decorate the cookies and store in an air-tight container up to a week. (Or freeze.)

I made this cookie tray for my daughter's French class!! They left quite an impression on the teacher and were the talk of the school!!

A little more simple, but fun to make. Alot of the piping on the eggs was inspired by Suga', although hers are alot more detailed and delicate! The back view of the bunny was inspired by cookies by Bidwell....I just loved the back view! I definitely need to get some new Easter cutters. I have a set of the Wilton plastic ones, but if you make a thicker cookie, they are almost impossible to use, aren't they? Or am I the only one having difficulties with them?

We used a candy corn cutter to give each camp member a triangle to create a cookie, thinking outside the box!! You cannot believe how creative everyone was and how many different directions the cookies were turned. At camp, Jen Whitlock showed me how to make Royal Icing flowers and so I used some of them to come up with this design!! They voted this the best triangle cookie design and I won a beautiful copper cutter from ECrandal! Thanks everyone!!!!

cookies and cupcakes are mortal enemies.

Cookie stack - have been wanting to try this out since I saw Elisa Strauss' version in Confetti Cakes.

(I wish, haha) 😁

Could anything be better than someone sending cookies to you? I was having a rough day when I opened my mailbox to find a box in the mail from my friend Brenda in Ohio! Several of us had exchanged names for birthday cookies and as I pulled each masterpiece out of the box, I started crying. I was so touched by the thought that someone had designed something special for me............now I know who people feel when I make cookies for them. They are just gorgeous and my picture does not do them justice, nor can you smell them - they smell heavenly, like birthday cake!!! Now that the photo is has been taken, I'll let my family dive in (except for the bouquet - I'm saving it forever!) I call dibs on the pink and green striped candle!

Brenda also surprised me with three other cookies that are so outrageously special that were inspired by something I collect. They were a little damaged in shipping, so I am attaching the photo she took! www.flickr.com/photos/brenscakes/6800623160/in/photostream

Be sure to leave her a comment! They're soooo incredible!!!

THANK YOU SOOOO MUCH BRENDA!!!

I've never felt more special!!!!!!!!!!
