The 1st is more recent...80's or 90's. The other came with the original Corning flat top stove...it's a cookbook and tells you which piece of Corning Ware to use and a short guide to all the pieces.

It's clearly before anyone was worried about privacy and identity theft because each contributor's name and mailing address is listed. This is why I'm not posting the Pineapple Mincemeat Pie recipe ... and it doesn't have mincemeat as an ingredient! Surreal!

Easter weekend was spent at a friends 90 year old grandma's house. She had this cook book that she was sure was at least 62 years old. It looked it. So time worn and loved. It looked so lovely amongst the rays from the crystal glasses and atop the lace table cloth.
Title of cookbook was; The American Woman's Cook Book
Apparently a staple in this Canadian Woman's kitchen :)
I love "Better Homes and Gardens" cookbooks. Most of them have classic illustrations and fonts that perfectly mirror the design and fashion of the times. And the recipes are pretty good, too.
