At first I thought 'Truro' was referring to the city in Southwest England, but upon further inspection it turns out to be Truro, Massachusetts!
It's still an interesting old cookbook, but it's unlikely I'll ever make anything from it - but perhaps a dessert or two.
Because I had one week to review the entire manuscript and fix errors or change anything, I decided to print out the entire book. It's printed two sided at least so I didn't waste that much paper. But that's how thick it was. Holy crow! Man can I write!
Thankfully the Development Editor and their freelance copy editor caught so many things that I didn't. I caught a few other things and added a few notes here and there. But mostly, it was changing things like "34 cup" to "3/4 cup". But it's done. I can't change anything else (which is kinda making me want to panic) and I won't see it until June when it is ready. But I'm done. Now to just figure out when and where to have book-signing events. There's no money for a book tour, but I do have friends in a lot of different places with couches, eh?
Got the corrections from Birgit for my upcoming camping cookbook "Einfach Draußen" (in german language) and now I have to edit them ...

A perfect example of a coptic binding. Cookbooks are so nice when they don't close on you as you go to get more ingredients out of the cupboard. I couldn't resist using the ant paper for the cover of a cookbook either, so I love this book. Coptic binding is by far my favorite binding style. It is complicated to do and many people avoid using it, but I love the flexibility it provides (you can use ANYTHING for a cover even if it is not flexible) and the utility of the book once you're done (it stays open on any page.)
