Contemplating Icebergs in Antarctica

Our latest adventure was incredibly still . We decided to venture somewhere new , somewhere scenic . Winter is creeping in slowly and grabbing the freezing cold paddle was unbearable at first but soon become tolerable .

We drifted slowly to un uncredible forest surrounding and being there was simply magical . We soon learned fishing was going to be a massive challenge although watching fish rise to the surface kept our hearts beating .

I landed a small jack pike after many cast , fishing deep and twitching the cannibal shad . Then Glen hooked one of those perch , a welcome catch to say the least .

We eventually ventured out on the main loch , with not a breath of wind in sight . Glen’s fish finder was showing millions of fish right down in the abyss but we could only dream of catching one .

We pursued our journey close to the bankside and I managed another bite . This time another small pike , twice as big as the first one but still a pike . Togg headed home earlyish and we kept on thrashing the still water .

In this trip we certainly learned how to keep calm . Perfectly still and breathtaking sceneries . Where’s next ?

Recently visited the new SFMOMA. A wonderful do over. An architectural masterpiece, both inside and out. This was noticed in the heralded contemporary art exhibit. I'm not sure I get most contemporary art either, though at least they seemed to be trying.

Summer Series #6

Was really lucky to get an almost completely still Swan River on my first morning there, coupled with some great light!

Semi natural tide pool in the secluded cove of Woody Bay on the Exmoor coast.

He did go for a swim, water was very cold and those black dots on the water are swarms of mossies, very brave.

Apps used: Camera 360, Pics Play Pro, and Old Photo Pro.

Backstory: I wanted to take a selfie because I had just colored my hair. Camera 360 has some nice selfie filters, so I started there with their Sexy lips effect. Then, I thought I'd try Pics Play

One place you might hope to find solitude and the mental room for contemplation is at a museum or art gallery.....places that seem to demand a different kind of behavior than in a restaurant or a mall or other bustling public space. These two women sit quietly, speechless, as they think about a painting at The Legion of Honor Fine Arts Museum in San Francisco.

The painting by the Flemish master Peter Paul Rubens is titled "The Massacre of the Innocents". Painted in 1611, this grotesque scene depicts the episode of the biblical Massacre of the Innocents of Bethlehem, as related in the Gospel of Matthew (2:13-18).

Happy Flyday folks! Here's a green fly gazing into the distance of the coming weekend. Have a good one.

This is my ghost contribution to Halloween. I swear I was sitting on that chair (which I own and love) but I got up after 4 seconds while the exposure was for 8. I moved fast enough so the cam would not record the movement. (this is for those who questioned whether I actually was sitting down).
