This is a photograph of a dirty greenhouse window pane in which you can see forms of leaves behind the glass. Despite its more abstract appearance, you can see a face display about 3/5 down on the far right side. For me the head looks like he is leaning on a fist contemplating.

Stillness in the morning

An oldie from Fuerteventura back in January. My friend and I only spent 3 days there, so the days were quite packed. Still we managed to catch the sunset at the beach every evening. There is just no better way to end a day.

This picture captures the mood of those evenings pretty well.

Thank you for taking the time to view my picture! Please leave a fave or comment if you like it :)

From our apartment window, I happened to see this lady in the building across from the street. I immediately grabbed my camera, changed to a zoom lens and took several shots. This one seems to work.

Did a photoshoot with María Rún last month, we wanted a pretty simple studio photoshoot, no big fancy makeup or clothes.

"The contemplation of beauty, whether it be a uniquely tinted sunset, a radiant face, or a work of art, makes us glance back unwittingly at our personal past and juxtapose ourselves and our inner being with the utterly unattainable beauty revealed to us."

— Vladimir Nabokov (The Stories of Vladimir Nabokov)

Just look at those glorious textures, the result of time and city life.

I wonder if the sculpture based her on a woman they knew. When I was taking the photo I couldn't help but imagine her. A girl with puffed sleeves standing on Bothwell Street looking up at the stone version of herself. Soot might have begun swallowing the building, creeping over that ever youthful face. Or perhaps she was there as an ancient, bent woman, when the city blew away the decades of smoke, to leave only the fire beneath. I wonder what she thought.

Spotted him at the Nallur Temple entrance, looked very much calm , peaceful and deep in thought.

So I followed the path and in my wandering, I found a bench to sit, rest and contemplate this dead shrub? I suppose I ought to snap some of the botanicals that cover Denver's gardens. Well, this was a botanical for a short stint before it gave up. Always the question is whether this dead wood or functional art? Well, this is what I saw.

This snap is yet another from a recent eDDie trek, this time down to the Denver Botanic Gardens. I have passed untold times but never invested my time or ponied up the entrance fee. This path shouts that upkeep here is far from free, but eDDie bought a season pass so I did another round of sponge bobbing at the right price. Boy, this place is loaded with distractions that were made for me! ...and, did I get distracted. Art in the park indeed.

Trekkers and lookie-loos poked every path and display. There were displays and art everywhere, keeping me abuzz and focusing in to removing background peeps. I expect that I will actually get to botanic growies sooner or later. When will I change interests in this series like I usually do?

Since the Denver Botonic Gardens trek, I have made more treks and another with eDDie yesterday to the hills. At least I was able to snag a load of shots on that mellow day. I filled my film card for the first time every. OK, I was tapped by the time it was filled.

Went looking for a nice sunrise yesterday morning but just ended up alone with my thoughts and some nice city reflections.
