Happy New Year.
Not been an easy one but if I was reminded of anything it was to get out there and live! I am now entering 2019 with a clear heart and a positive mind. So out with the old and in with the new, ring out the false, ring in the true as they say.
Oh and I will keep taking lots of photos. This is my favourite of the year.

A spontaneous shot of Juliet looking over the Atlantic from the island of Gran Canaria, off the west coast of Africa. We had just arrived there in the middle of a cold winter in England and the sea air was wonderfully warm and fresh.
Composition note: I have deliberately placed her almost at the centre of the frame (against the "rules") to create a feeling of stillness, a suspended moment in time - which was how it felt...

I'd be lying if I said this wasn't somewhat inspired by season two of American Horror Story. Hopefully this looks okay on everyone's screens. I've been having trouble with editing lately due to making the transition between Windows and Mac. I'm pretty sure I need to calibrate my screen, or change some settings in Photoshop. Any tips would be greatly appreciated!
Sorry for the long hiatus! I've been getting situated in a new city and a lot has changed for me in the past six months. I hope to get back in the habit of shooting and posting more frequently. I hope all is well with everyone in the Flickr world!

A man was sitting by the end of a fishing boat and seemed like he was contemplating. thus the heading . The Sunrise that day was beautiful and i could use the boat as a leading line!

Sitting on top of Potato Chip Rock in San Diego contemplating life as time march's on in the stars.
I've had this image in mind for some time and finally got around to trying it out. The clouds started moving in as I was shooting the star trails so I did not get the long exposure time I was hoping for, that just means I need to go try it again.
Blue hour foreground blended with a 25 min stack of 50 photos taken at 30 seconds each.
Foreground taken at 24mm, ISO 100, f/4, 10 seconds.
Stars taken at 12mm, ISO 200, f/2.8, 30 seconds.
