This image suits my own mood well at the moment. My Granddaughter sat looking at this little rock flower, deep in thought for many minutes - she is not really old enough to tell me just what she was thinking.
Sorry I haven't been around much - still taking photos but it seems that other than my family shots at the moment nothing excites or pleases me, all more of the same old stuff, think I need a kick up the bum. Have tried to pop in and out to comment - will catch up properly with you all soon, sorry I am a bit of a misery!
'Tis the season for cancelled flights due to weather.
'Tis the season for merriment
'Tis the season to contemplate if you got the right gifts
'Tis the season for Family

This photo was taken around 1980. Someone was just sitting there thinking and I just happened to have a camera and some film. Once again, not the best focus, but I always held onto this picture.
We decided to rest in this abundantly treed section of the Richmond Fen. Spring flooding of the Jock River allowed us to penetrate this silver maple forest.

"For 6,000 years, these rules have been unquestionably right. And yet we break them every day. People feel that something is wrong in life. There is some kind of atmosphere that makes people now turn to other values. They want to contemplate the basic questions of life.". -Krzysztof Kieslowski
Nature often provides us with an opportunity of contemplating, but first, we have to stop and give it some attention. Moreover, when we do just that, we can unfold a full spectrum of our senses. Then, our creativity is building a picture that uses not only the eyesight but also all other senses. This, in turn, helps encapsulate the living spectacle into a still frame.

...on a Friday. Always on the busiest mornings come the brightest sunrises. :) Seeing more spider webs...wondering how many spiders have landed on us when we didn't know it...now there's a thought! :D

It’s just a place to sit and chill at South Bank that cycles through a colourful light show as you look up and contemplate life.

Doing some weekend shopping and see less and less Genus. Everything is LeLutka. I have 3 Lelutka heads, but can't get my look with Lelutka. I know the animations are strong with Lelutka, but struggle trying to let go. I always wonder if one day I will log on and can't buy anything :( Designers please don't forget us Genus lovers. Shout out to the ones that keep us beautiful!
"I can't tell you what art does and how it does it, but I know that art has often judged the judges, pleaded revenge to the innocent and shown to the future what the past has suffered, so that it has never been forgotten" (John Berger)
Utah is certainly the state of rugged beauty, outdoor activities, incredible geological wonders and Old West way of life. From adventurous Moab with its national treasures – the Arches National Park and the Canyonlands National Park, to the picturesque Rocky Mountain Basin. I love Utah!
Sometimes we need a break, alone, and let our heart accept what our mind already knows...
