I took a photo of our resident Green Tree Frog ‘Frida’ earlier this week, in which she appears to be gazing up at the sky and contemplating the universe… which gave me an idea.
I captured the background in this composite image (which features the Moon and Venus setting under the arch of the Milky Way) at Wivenhoe Dam a couple of years ago. The location is a nice habitat for Green Tree Frogs, so this image kind of works. 🐸
I happened upon this woman as she was getting her
pre-marriage photos, as her photographer was changing lens I took this one shot while she appeared to be in deep thought on what was in the near future.
Kopenhagen's dyrehave at Jaegersborg castle just north of the city boasts with a huge population of fallow and red deer roaming freely through open space and forrests, which used to be royal hunting grounds. It offers a great opportunity for animal observation and fotography. I loved how this couple just sat in the grass observing fallow deer and simply enjoying the freely roaming wildlife. By the way, this is not a zoo!
Surfers at Corralejo Grandes Playas enjoy a variety of waves, from beginner-friendly spots with gentle swells to advanced breaks like Howling Spot with powerful surf. The area has a strong surf culture, with many schools and rental shops providing lessons and equipment for all levels. With its consistent waves, warm waters, and scenic dunes, it’s a popular destination for both casual surfers and dedicated wave riders.
At the end of the day, when you have been boxing with other male opponents all day, you may sometimes loose a battle. At that point you need to retrieve and contemplate.

Light is the fundamental element of all artists. A lot of time is spent deciding how best to use it.
Orang Utans share 97% with us. They are intelligent, know how to use tools and sometimes I think they have a greater share of social consciousness than we do.
Some of my ancestors passed through, and lived close by here in the early 1800's. There are a few locations named for them south of here, Turk Gap, and Turk Mountain. I hope to check that area out the next time I'm in the area.
With my telephoto lens in hand, I often spotted little frogs near the water lilies—but this one, in particular, caught my eye. It seemed to be quietly contemplating the situation, casually moving its hand across its chin. I found the moment intriguing—hope you will too.

Cairn Gorm, the mountain from which the Cairngorm mountain range gets its name, stands at 1245 meters (4085 feet) and is my 4th Munro of the season, my 27th in total. The hike (no bike this time) sees me covering a circuit of just over 7 miles and making an elevation gain of around 762 meters (2500 feet).
