I tried some long exposures with an old Canon film camera. I got in this shot and I liked the way it turned out! "C" for 26FILM group.
Ah, the life of a seagull. Set up only a short 100 metre flight from the fish and chip shop at Cleveland Point, Redlands, South East Queensland. Waiting for some gullible human to offer a single, solitary chip and then it will be on for young and old!
Testing my new lensbaby.. this lens is wonderful, but not easy to use. Just practicing!
I welcome all tips and advice!

You're gonna get HOW big?!
When you're old enough to breathe fire we'll have to revise the play-time ground-rules.
What? You never heard of Puff? Okay, I'll tell you, but you're gonna cry.
I find it ironic that you'll soon be breathing fire but on cold mornings you'll still have to sit in the sun to warm your blood.
How do you like your knight--rare, medium, or well-done?
Well, I hope you like dog food too, 'cause there's a HELL of a lot of THAT served around here.
I think I'll call you...Bic.

(Christmas, 2013, at 13 months old, I got this dragon as a gift. I'm not big on stuffed toys, but this thing sure got my attention for a short time.)

“If there were a little more silence, if we all kept quiet...maybe we could understand something.”
― Federico Fellini
Exactly one year ago, I spent the night at this stunning overlook in eastern Switzerland. I remember standing there, under the calming beauty of the night sky and thinking about what the future might bring. Not in my wildest dreams did I imagine the shape the world would be in today.
What gives me hope, is the fact that all this beauty is still there and that the lockdown showed me what is really important in life: Good health and spending time with your family and a few good friends.

The Alpe de Siusi is a very famous place for sunrise shots. This time, probably because of my increasing laziness, I tried a sunset shot with my drone and was actually amazed by the beauty of the very last lights of the day over the iconic Sassolungo mountain.

After some shopping with Mom this afternoon, I took the opportunity to stop somewhere that I haven't spent nearly enough time lately; Mer Bleue.
I put feed in the feeders and managed to get a few shots of the birds that popped by to visit; a nuthatch, a downy woodpecker and a lot of chickadees.
This shot stood out to me and had the best focus of the bunch so I'm going with it for today.
Hope everyone has had a good day.

With a glorious sunset, my good lady took a few moments on this quiet beach to take in the view and reflect on a great few days...

“Think of all the beauty still left around you and be happy.” ~Anne Frank
Sometimes I feel folks focus far to much time and energy in the wrong directions. Sometimes the focus is on worry about the future, or sorrow about the past; things they have no control over.
If instead, one looks to the here and now and takes in the beauty that surrounds them - peace can be found.
To be happy is a choice and I am happy. Even with all the craziness of 2020, I have had a wonderful time. I’ve been able to see more of my crazy kiddos. I’ve been able to take a few more images than normal. I’ve been forced to think inside the box (quarantine). There is lots of beauty still left all around me everywhere I look. Sometimes it takes some solitude and moments to reflect to really see it. To shine a light on it.
