Soldier Configuration - 2Rd / 2Rh / 2W
Imbrium Lunokhod Industries Model VS-M/S-71 'Degei' - The next evolution of the Imbrium Lunokhod Industries Frame System, the Degei takes the lessons learned during the development of the VS-A-GR5K 'Krivlyaka' and applies the well loved stylings that made the VS-MX-04 'Rangi' and the VS-M/A-Z9A 'Muku' such a success. The Degei is a versatile assault frame perfect for space-based interdiction and other zero-g tactical operations.
From a design perspective, the frame fits perfectly into the 7P scale and aligns with the desired aesthetic. Unfortunately, the thigh joints that worked so well on the Krivlyaka were very fragile when paired with a stiff ankle joint. Additionally, the design of the shoulder joint didn’t add enough range of motion to justify the parts usage. Finally, the hip/waist connection was too loose, even with a friction pin which made it difficult to find stable footing.
If I was going to revise this build, I think I would start with the ankles. A looser and more scale-conventional joint (using a pneuma-T or tap) would probably work better in the long run.

The Cavalier King Charles Spaniel is a British breed of toy dog of spaniel type. Four colours are recognised: Blenheim (chestnut and white), tricolour (black/white/tan), black and tan, and ruby; the coat is smooth and silky.[2] The lifespan is usually between eight and twelve years.[1]
The Cavalier King Charles changed dramatically in the late seventeenth century, when it was inter-bred with flat-nosed breeds. Until the 1920s, it shared the same history as the smaller King Charles Spaniel. Breeders attempted to recreate what they considered to be the original configuration – a dog resembling Charles II's spaniel of the English Civil War period, when supporters of the king were known as Cavaliers.[3][4]
History
Cavalier King Charles Spaniel; lesser stop; skull not inclined to be domed with spot in centre of skull on the Blenheim. A white blaze between the eyes is standard of the Tricolour variety.
Correct Ruby Cavalier King Charles Spaniel; uniform chestnut colour, with no white markings; ears and slippers are often slightly lighter but dark chestnut colour should predominate
During the early part of the 18th century, John Churchill, 1st Duke of Marlborough, kept red and white King Charles type spaniels for hunting. The duke recorded that they were able to keep up with a trotting horse. His estate was named Blenheim in honour of his victory at the Battle of Blenheim. Because of this influence, the red and white variety of the King Charles Spaniel and thus the Cavalier King Charles Spaniel became known as the Blenheim.[5]
Attempts were made to recreate the original Cavalier King Charles Spaniel as early as the turn of the 20th century, using the now extinct Toy Trawler Spaniels. These attempts were documented by Judith Blunt-Lytton, 16th Baroness Wentworth, in the book "Toy Dogs and Their Ancestors Including the History And Management of Toy Spaniels, Pekingese, Japanese and Pomeranians" published under the name of the "Hon. Mrs Neville Lytton" in 1911.[6]
Divergence from King Charles Spaniel
In 1926, the American Roswell Eldridge offered a dog show class prize of 25 pounds of sterling silver each as a prize for the best male and females of "Blenheim Spaniels of the old type, as shown in pictures of Charles II of England's time, long face, no stop, flat skull, not inclined to be domed, with spot in centre of skull."[7] The breeders of the era were appalled, although several entered what they considered to be sub-par Cavalier King Charles Spaniels in the competition. Eldridge died before seeing his plan come to fruition, but several breeders believed in what he said and in 1928 the first Cavalier club was formed.[7] The first standard was created, based on a dog named "Ann's Son" owned by Mostyn Walker,[8] and the Kennel Club recognised the variety as "King Charles Spaniels, Cavalier type".[7]
The Second World War caused a drastic setback to the emerging breed, with the vast majority of breeding stock destroyed because of wartime hardship and food shortages. For instance, in the Ttiweh Cavalier Kennel, the population of 60 dogs dropped to three during the 1940s.[9] Following the war, few dogs survived as the new beginning from which all present-day Cavaliers descend. And in 1945,[10] the Kennel Club first recognised the breed in its own right as the Cavalier King Charles Spaniel.[7]
The first recorded Cavalier living in the United States was brought from the United Kingdom in 1956 by W. Lyon Brown who, together with Elizabeth Spalding and other enthusiasts, founded the Cavalier King Charles Club USA that continues to the present day. In 1994, the American Cavalier King Charles Spaniel Club was created by a group of breeders to apply for recognition by the American Kennel Club. It was recognised by the American Kennel Club in 1995,[2] and the ACKCSC became the parent club for Cavaliers.[11] Since 2000, it has grown in popularity in the United States and ranks as the 15th most popular pure-breed in the United States.[12]
Description
"The purebred Black and Tan uniform."
A purebred Black and Tan uniform.
Historically the Cavalier King Charles Spaniel was a lap dog and is small for a spaniel, with fully grown adults comparable in size to adolescents of other larger spaniel breeds. The tail is usually not docked,[13] and the Cavalier should have a silky coat of moderate length. Standards state that it should be free from curl, although a slight wave is allowed. Feathering can grow on their ears, feet, legs and tail in adulthood. Standards require this be kept long, with the feathering on the feet a particularly important aspect of the breed's features.[13]
The Cavalier King Charles Spaniel and the English Toy Spaniel can often be confused with each other. In the United Kingdom, the English Toy Spaniel is called the King Charles Spaniel, while in the United States, one of the colours of the Toy Spaniel is known as King Charles. The two breeds share similar history and only diverged from each other about 100 years ago.[citation needed] There are several major differences between the two breeds, with the primary difference being size. While the Cavalier weighs on average between 13 and 18 pounds (5.9 and 8.2 kg), the King Charles is smaller at 9 to 15 pounds (4.1 to 6.8 kg). In addition, their facial features, while similar, are different; the Cavalier's ears are set higher and its skull is flat, while the King Charles's skull is domed. Finally, the muzzle length of the Cavalier tends to be longer than that of its King Charles cousin.[7][14]
Colour
"Two dogs with long ears sit on a wooden platform overlooking the sea. They are mostly white, but have black ears and black and brown markings on their faces. Their fur is ruffled by the breeze."
Tricolour Cavalier King Charles Spaniels
Cavalier King Charles Spaniel, Blenheim variety, with chestnut brown markings on a white background on its back, patches over eyes and all brown ears
The breed has four recognized colours. Cavaliers that have rich chestnut markings on a pearly white background are known as Blenheim in honor of Blenheim Palace, where John Churchill, 1st Duke of Marlborough raised for assistance in hunting the predecessors to the Cavalier breed in this particular colour. In some Blenheim dogs there is a chestnut spot in the middle of the forehead: this is called the "Blenheim" spot.[15] The Blenheim spot is also known as the mark of the "Duchess Thumb Print", based on the legend that Sarah Churchill, Duchess of Marlborough while awaiting news of her husband's safe return from the Battle of Blenheim, pressed the head of an expecting dam with her thumb, resulting in five puppies bearing the lucky mark after news that the battle had been won.[16]
Black and Tan are dogs with black bodies with tan highlights, particularly eyebrows, cheeks, legs and beneath the tail.[17] Black and Tan is referred to as "King Charles" in the King Charles Spaniel.[7] Wikipedia

I built two other Star Trek style ships and then decided to go for broke with a bigger, less conventional, more dramatic and all out bad-ass design. There was a lot of engineering involved to work out the internal framework of technic that holds up the saucer and the huge angled wings, plus I had to balance the warp nacelles so they don't droop. I also went nutty with the LEDs lighting up just about everything that could be lit and 3D printed some special pieces for the photon torpedo launchers. Really pleased with the colour scheme and the overall appearance which is really rooted in the Star Trek aesthetic but spun out in a cool new direction.

This is a rear/side view of the Linear Aerospike SR Experiment (LASRE) pod on NASA SR-71, tail number 844. This photo was taken during the fit-check of the pod on February 15, 1996, at Lockheed Martin Skunkworks in Palmdale, California. The LASRE experiment was designed to provide in-flight data to help Lockheed Martin evaluate the aerodynamic characteristics and the handling of the SR-71 linear aerospike experiment configuration. The goal of the project was to provide in-flight data to help Lockheed Martin validate the computational predictive tools it was using to determine the aerodynamic performance of a future reusable launch vehicle. The joint NASA, Rocketdyne (now part of Boeing), and Lockheed Martin Linear Aerospike SR-71 Experiment (LASRE) completed seven initial research flights at Dryden (now Armstrong) Flight Research Center.

It’s a lovely day at Combwich for the annual SLS (Slow Locomotive Society) photographic rail tour of the former Somerset & Dorset Joint Railway network - also fondly referred to as ‘The Slow & Dirty’.
Sporting ‘express’ lamp head code configuration of a lamp over each buffer, the small train waits for the return of its camera toting passengers. They’re all lined up just out of shot either side of me taking almost identical photographs, because that’s the unwritten law of rail tour and photography charters. However celebrity photographer Ivan Locksmith on the extreme left, does his own thing, that’s why he gets his photography so widely published.
Derek and Deliberation Dave have been asked to pose stylishly in front of the former LNWR ‘coal tank’, the slow locomotive choice for this trip. On rail tours, especially of the photographic variety, fixed crew poses are hugely important, with Derek and Dave having to keep still for 6 minutes and 45 seconds to allow all the photographers to grab that identical image.
And finally, Bob Geeza Cat, loves to strut in style, so is in his element in front of the row of amateur photographers trying to outdo each other with who has the most expensive camera. Oh Bob you’re such a tart 🐾

ESA and European industry are currently developing a new-generation launcher: Ariane 6. This follows the decision taken at the ESA Council meeting at Ministerial level in December 2014, to maintain Europe’s leadership in the fast-changing commercial launch service market while responding to the needs of European institutional missions.
This move is associated with a change in the governance of the European launcher sector, based on a sharing of responsibility, cost and risk by ESA and industry.

So what’s so special about this picture you might think?
It’s the license plate.
1927: A design configuration appeared on Illinois license plates for the first time. On the right side of the plate is a black outline of Illinois with the letters ILL and the numbers 27 inside. C.H. Hanson Co. of Chicago manufactured the license plates. (No, not the inmates of some State prison).
This is the first……….and the last time that the embossed outline of the State (Illinois) appeared on an Illinois license plate. In other words, the only time that an embossed outline of the State of Illinois appeared on the license palate was in 1927.
You might also note that being Illinois and being Cook County and being Chicago, it's only natural that even back in 1927 car owner's were required to pay a vehicle tax in order to own and operate a motor vehicle within the city of Chicago.

A transient configuration of clouds reflects magnificently in the rare and fleeting waters of Lake Manly (which exits only once every decade or so when flood waters inundate the Badwater salt playa), forming a tender vision like interlocking fingers grasping the last hints of pink sunset light--at Badwater Basin, Death Valley National Park, California.
By the time I took this shot, the warm tones of sunset had long diminished, and it seemed we were well into blue hour. I was breaking down my gear and thinking about dinner actually, when I noticed that this cloud pattern and a refreshed faint hint of pink had appeared on scene. I almost didn't bother, as my first thought was frankly tired--the light's super low and it's just a simple reflection--and I figured we'd be back to shoot there another time before we had to head back to our homes in the east.
But with ephemeral things like clouds and light, and even the thin mirror waters of this Lake Manly, we know there is never another time. Be they subtle or grand, these moments of nature's beauty, like all moments, exist only once in all of time, and not to stop and appreciate them, to seize them, is to lose them forever. Endless new moments await, of course, as nature is bountiful with beauty across time, but I knew that, subdued though it was, this moment would be the only one of its kind.
Thanks for viewing!

This shot was taken from the top of the dome at St. Peter's Basilica, Vatican City.
Getting to this location while climbing the stairs seemed ludicrous. The climb consisted of about 350 steps (somewhere between 15-17 floors), most of them around the dome in narrow and slanted passages where my rather ample behind hardly seemed to fit.
Now you may wonder why I'm complaining. Imagine you're inside the hot dome, carrying 2 rather large SLRs around your neck (Mine and Misha's), a full sized Lowe Pro computrekker full of gear and diaper accessories for our 8 month old daughter Iyana. Then add to the vision my wife Misha with a somewhat perturbed Iyana in a baby carrier right at my heels. I of course got the better end of the deal, but still, I figure I earned the right to complain ;)
When we reached the top though...it was well worth it! I have a couple more "close ups" I'll post down the line...

Seen here in her original configuration, painted in the light grey standard on Carolinian ships during the late 1930s. CSS Brandywine, first of the class, was launched in 1932, with CSS Shelby to follow as third in the class a year later. 1935 would mark the end of the United Carolinian States, the continent splitting up into various rump governments - and so it was that the Specific Fleet was split between the fledgling Republic of Jefferson and the Western Defense Command, a territory under the remains of the Federal High Command. All ten of the Brandywines obtained (and later built) by the Federal Navy underwent extensive refits in 1940.
Federal forces invaded Jefferson in 1942 (marking the start of General Chaffee's campaign to reunify the continent), and it was at the outbreak that the first and only major naval battle of the war would be fought, in the Belfaunt Strait between Merriweather Island and the mainland. Five Brandywines - including CSS Shelby - were sunk at the battle, but they took with them to the bottom eight of the Jeffersonian Quincy-class cruisers, which were the ships the Brandywines were designed to complement and eventually replace as fleet scouts. While the operational goal of landing a force of marines on Merriweather Island had failed, the Federal Navy nonetheless achieved a strategic victory, bottling the Jeffersonian fleet (including the now-crippled battleship JWS Yreka) upriver in Yreka for the rest of the war and buying time for four new Federal superdreadnoughts - the Currituck-class - to finally cast off their mooring lines a week later.
Federal forces would achieve victory after the Siege of Yreka a month after the war began. This opening move of the Reunification was to be the last to see naval combat, as one by one the other rump states of the continent fell to Federal armored brigades and strategic bombing squadrons. With the Reunification complete by 1944 and the Arcadian Commonwealth declared, the few remaining Brandywine-class cruisers were mothballed and later scrapped.
One of the 8" guns from CSS Woebegone may be seen mounted on a pedestal outside Whipple Hall at the Arcadian Naval Academy.

My entry for the Assemble the Fleet Competition. This version of the Nebulon-B Escort Frigate is inspired by EC Henry’s design as seen on his YouTube Channel.
Length: 32 studs
Backstory:
The Nebulon-B Escort Frigate Sentinel was originally built for the Galactic Empire by Kuat Drive Yards prior to the outbreak of the Galactic Civil War. The Sentinel was deployed for system patrol duty and avoided being mothballed and scavenged for parts by KDY technicians for their ongoing construction of Imperial Star Destroyers. Unlike its contemporaries who were liberated and saw service with the Rebel Alliance, the Sentinel retained its original Imperial configuration.
With the collapse of the Empire, the ship was utilized by the Remidian System Defense Force for anti-pirate operations during the years of the New Republic. It was one of the many ships to answer the call for help from Lando Calrissian and Chewbacca aboard the Millennium Falcon. While outdated, the Sentinel still had functional turbo-laser emplacements, military-grade shield generators, and a reduced complement of obsolete TIE/LN starfighters aboard and made a welcome addition to the fleet that opposed the resurrected Emperor Palpatine’s Sith Eternal fleet above the planet Exegol in the Unknown Regions.

yikes I sized this up and lost about half of it off screen... so we'll call this done.
You kids and your shipbucket are making it hard to keep up in PMG, but here we go :P Also I used paint to stick these two babies together.
The Cutter Variable Sweep Wing Fighter is an attempt by the Empire to provide a heavily armed fighter that is fast enough to intercept bombers but manoeuvrable enough to excel at dogfighting. The variable sweep configuration offers this versatility, meaning that the Cutter can be used as both an interceptor and an air superiority fighter.
The Cutter is equipped with 2 30mm autocannons, and has 10 hardpoints with a capacity of 6,600 kg of ordnance and fuel tanks
I will probably be fielding the Cutter in late 60's or early 70's, and by the 90's I'll be adding a ground attack upgrade just like the F-14 got.
Lightbox to see some of my errors :)
