Having been in the making for 3,5 years I can finally say that this project is finished. The complete model is brought to life with 5 Sbrick's controlling 17 functions. Other non motorized functions are full suspension, opening doors and the manual folding jib.

The Citroën DS (French pronunciation: [si.tʁɔ.ɛn de.ɛs]) is a front mid-engined, front-wheel drive executive car manufactured and marketed by Citroën from 1955 to 1975, in fastback/sedan, wagon/estate, and convertible body configurations, across a single generation comprising three series.
Marketed with a less expensive variant, the Citroën ID, the DS was known for its aerodynamic, futuristic body design; unorthodox, quirky, and innovative technology. It set new standards in ride quality, handling, and braking,[3] thanks to both being the first mass production car equipped with hydropneumatic suspension, as well as disc brakes.[4] The 1967 Series 3 also introduced directional headlights to automotive mass-production.[nb 2]
Italian sculptor and industrial designer Flaminio Bertoni and the French aeronautical engineer André Lefèbvre styled and engineered the DS, and Paul Magès developed the hydropneumatic self-levelling suspension. Robert Opron designed the 1967 Series 3 facelift. Citroën built 1455746 examples in six countries, of which 1330755 were manufactured at Citroën's main Paris Quai de Javel (now Quai André-Citroën) production plant.[5]
The DS was used competitively in rally racing during almost its entire 20‑year production run, and achieved multiple major victories, as early as 1959, and as late as 1974. It was named the most beautiful car of all time by Classic & Sports Car magazine.[6]
The name DS and ID are puns in the French language. "DS" is pronounced exactly like déesse, lit. 'goddess', whereas "ID" is pronounced as idée ('idea').
Model history
Turn indicators were mounted in the upper corners of the rear window, tail and brake lights integrated in chromed rear bumper.
After 18 years of secret development as the successor to the Traction Avant, the DS 19 was introduced on 6 October 1955, at the Paris Motor Show. In the first 15 minutes of the show, 743 orders were taken, and orders for the first day totalled 12,000.[7] During the 10 days of the show, the DS took in 80,000 deposits; a record that stood for over 60 years,[8] until it was eclipsed by the Tesla Model 3 which received 180,000 first day deposits in March 2016.[9] The original list price for a 1959 ID19 was US$2,833 ($31,289 in 2025 dollars).[10][11]
Contemporary journalists said the DS pushed the envelope in the ride vs. handling compromise possible in a motor vehicle.[12][13][14]
To a France still deep in reconstruction after the devastation of World War II, and also building its identity in the post-colonial world, the DS symbolized French ingenuity.[15] The DS was distributed to many territories throughout the world.[16]
At the 1963 Amsterdam International Autoshow, Citroën presented a DS body as a sculpture, upright like a rocket, on a rotating platform.
It also posited the nation's relevance in the Space Age, during the global race for technology of the Cold War.[15] Structuralist philosopher Roland Barthes, in an essay about the car, said that it looked as if it had "fallen from the sky".[17] An American advertisement summarised this selling point: "It takes a special person to drive a special car".[18]
Because the company was owned by the technologically aggressive tyre manufacturer Michelin, Citroën had designed their cars around the technologically superior radial tyre since 1948, and the DS was no exception.[19][20]
The car used double wishbone suspension with L-shaped arms at the front and trailing-arms at the rear, with totally novel hydropneumatic spring and damper units. The car's advanced hydraulics included automatic self-levelling and driver adjustable ride-height,[21] developed in-house by Paul Magès. This suspension allowed the DS to travel quickly on the poor road surfaces then common in France.[22]
In addition, the vehicle had power steering and a semi-automatic transmission (the transmission required no clutch pedal but gears still had to be shifted by hand,[23] with the shift lever controlling a powered hydraulic shift mechanism in place of a mechanical linkage). It had a fibreglass roof which lowered the centre of gravity, and so reduced weight transfer. Inboard front disc brakes (as well as independent suspension) reduced unsprung weight. Different front and rear track widths reduced the unequal tyre loading, which is well known to promote understeer, typical of front-engined and front-wheel drive cars.[24] Although disc brakes had been tried on a car as early as 1902 by British Lanchester, volume production had not been applied until 1949, by USA small car manufacturer Crosley, but without success. The Citroën DS was the first successful fielding of disc brakes on a mass-produced car.[4]
Furthermore, at launch the DS featured innovative centerlock wheels which used a captive allen bolt as the central fastener whilst a hexagonal protrusion transferred the drive to a matching recess in the wheel. This made it possible to change the wheel very quickly in the event of a puncture and proved an advantage in motor racing.[25]
As with all French cars, the DS design was affected by the tax horsepower system, which effectively encouraged smaller engines. Unlike the Traction Avant predecessor, there was no top-of-range model with a powerful six-cylinder engine. Citroën had planned an air-cooled flat-6 engine for the car, but did not have the funds to put the prototype engine into production.
The DS placed fifth on the 2005 list of "100 Coolest Cars" by Automobile Magazine.[26] It was also named the most beautiful car of all time by Classic & Sports Car magazine after a poll of 20 world-renowned car designers, including Giorgetto Giugiaro, Ian Callum, Roy Axe, Paul Bracq, and Leonardo Fioravanti...Wikipedia

My entry for the Assemble the Fleet Competition. This version of the Nebulon-B Escort Frigate is inspired by EC Henry’s design as seen on his YouTube Channel.

Backstory:
The Nebulon-B Escort Frigate Sentinel was originally built for the Galactic Empire by Kuat Drive Yards prior to the outbreak of the Galactic Civil War. The Sentinel was deployed for system patrol duty and avoided being mothballed and scavenged for parts by KDY technicians for their ongoing construction of Imperial Star Destroyers. Unlike its contemporaries who were liberated and saw service with the Rebel Alliance, the Sentinel retained its original Imperial configuration.
With the collapse of the Empire, the ship was utilized by the Remidian System Defense Force for anti-pirate operations during the years of the New Republic. It was one of the many ships to answer the call for help from Lando Calrissian and Chewbacca aboard the Millennium Falcon. While outdated, the Sentinel still had functional turbo-laser emplacements, military-grade shield generators, and a reduced complement of obsolete TIE/LN starfighters aboard and made a welcome addition to the fleet that opposed the resurrected Emperor Palpatine’s Sith Eternal fleet above the planet Exegol in the Unknown Regions.

The Cutter Variable Sweep Wing Fighter is an attempt by the Empire to provide a heavily armed fighter that is fast enough to intercept bombers but manoeuvrable enough to excel at dogfighting. The variable sweep configuration offers this versatility, meaning that the Cutter can be used as both an interceptor and an air superiority fighter.
The Cutter is equipped with 2 30mm autocannons, and has 10 hardpoints with a capacity of 6,600 kg of ordnance and fuel tanks
I will probably be fielding the Cutter in late 60's or early 70's, and by the 90's I'll be adding a ground attack upgrade just like the F-14 got.

Imbrium Lunokhod Industries Model VS-M/S-71 'Degei' - The next evolution of the Imbrium Lunokhod Industries Frame System, the Degei takes the lessons learned during the development of the VS-A-GR5K 'Krivlyaka' and applies the well loved stylings that made the VS-MX-04 'Rangi' and the VS-M/A-Z9A 'Muku' such a success. The Degei is a versatile assault frame perfect for space-based interdiction and other zero-g tactical operations.
From a design perspective, the frame fits perfectly into the 7P scale and aligns with the desired aesthetic. Unfortunately, the thigh joints that worked so well on the Krivlyaka were very fragile when paired with a stiff ankle joint. Additionally, the design of the shoulder joint didn’t add enough range of motion to justify the parts usage. Finally, the hip/waist connection was too loose, even with a friction pin which made it difficult to find stable footing.
If I was going to revise this build, I think I would start with the ankles. A looser and more scale-conventional joint (using a pneuma-T or tap) would probably work better in the long run.

The Arc is located on the right bank of the Seine at the centre of a dodecagonal configuration of twelve radiating avenues. It was commissioned in 1806 after the victory at Austerlitz by Emperor Napoleon at the peak of his fortunes. Laying the foundations alone took two years and, in 1810, when Napoleon entered Paris from the west with his bride Archduchess Marie-Louise of Austria, he had a wooden mock-up of the completed arch constructed. The architect, Jean Chalgrin, died in 1811 and the work was taken over by Jean-Nicolas Huyot. During the Bourbon Restoration, construction was halted and it would not be completed until the reign of King Louis-Philippe, between 1833 and 1836, by the architects Goust, then Huyot, under the direction of Héricart de Thury. The 1924 Targa Florio winner car was a 2 liter, 4 cylinder, super-charged Mercedes, with Chistian Werner at the wheel. This car is an early example of the famous Merceds Compressor series, culminating in the famous SSK and SSKL.
Unlike the usual white livery of the Mercedes racers, this car was actually painted red: Rumour has it this was a camouflage strategy to stop Italian fanatics from throwing rocks at the passing car, because it might be taken for Italian.
In the 1920ies, the race cars were actually driven to the race track on public roads like normal automobiles. For this trip, mudguards and license plates had to be mounted, to comply with traffic regulations. My model is shown in both configurations: as a slick racer, and as a roadworthy automobile.

あらすじ
大学を目指している北見ケイは、SNS上で、6歳年上のイベントコンパニオン、上村香織に出会う。
上京してきた香織の夢は、有名なアーティストの友達になるためだ。
そのためにはラジオ局のプロデューサー、大沢亮の存在が必要だった。
大沢は、ラジオの生放送中、香織へ語りかける。
「僕には妻子がある。しかし、僕は君に会いたいと思っている」
ケイの同級生で、彼を想っている三條里香は、香織の動向を探っていた。。。。。
本編
人が海へ向かう理由には、二つある。
ひとつは、波打ち際ではしゃぐ子供のように、今の瞬間の海の輝きを楽しむこと。
もうひとつは、その輝きを静かに見据えて、過ぎ去った日々を懐かしむ老人のように記憶の埃を払うこと。
二つは重なり合わないようではあるけれども、たったひとつの意味しか生まない。
再生だ。
明日っていう、曖昧な日を確実なものへと変えてゆくために、自分の存在に向き合う。
それが再生の意味だ。
十八歳だった僕には大切な人がいた。

『新しい風は、いつも地下から吹いてくる』 ～ モスインライラックの活動休止に添えて ～
３０年ほど前、空前のバンドブームというのがメディアを席巻した。
ド下手で、リズムすらろくにキープできないようなバンドが、音楽の中身なども関係なくもてはやされ、身ぐるみを剥ぎ取られるようにして消費され尽くした。
まだ２０代前半だった僕にも理解できるド下手バンドが、なぜ評価を得られたのか。技術や楽曲の力ではなく、メディアの空気そのものに煽られ、バンドの名が知れ渡ってゆく。
「所詮音楽とは、ショービジネスさ」
大昔、ソロになったばかりのポールウェラーが或るインタビューでそう話していた。
音楽とは、金の成る木だ。金さえあれば、バンバン広告打って、いくらでも制覇できる。
しかし、それは束の間の出来事で、継続は決してされない。
バンドブームがまさにその良い例で、脳のない、センスのないバンドはやっぱり淘汰されていった。
そんななかで、僕が東京に居た頃に記憶に残っているのは、Xとルナシーだ。
このふたつのバンドは、当時のライブハウスでも名を馳せた。
僕がアルバイトしていたレンタルレコード屋さんにもやはりバンドやってる方がいて、Xといっしょにステージに立ったと熱く語っていた。
自分のバンドとはまるで比較にならないほどの技術、演奏力、表現力で、足元にも及ばなかったようだ。
しかし、彼はそれを自分のことのようにとても楽しく話していた。
ルナシーについてもやはり僕がバイトしていた別のレコード屋さんで、追っかけをしている女の子（すごく可愛い:)）がいて、やはり夢中になってバンドの良さを語っていた。
前者のバンドと後者のバンドの差は、血が通ってるかどうかだと思う。
上っ面だけで体裁よくコマーシャルに形成されたバンドと、小さなハコから叩かれて、のし上がってきたバンド。
どちらが本物かどうかは、僕がここに書くまでもなく、この現時点で結果は出ている。
もちろん、モスインライラックは後者にあたる。
モスインライラックは、この約６年間を走り抜けてきた。
ただ僕が知っているのはこの一ヶ月間程度のことであって、それ以前についてはユーチューブでしか知らない。
途中、メンバーチェンジがあり、現在のメンバーで固めるまで、おそらく大変だったと思う。
僕が今回撮ることになったのは、東京ビッグサイトのデザインフェスタで、マネージャーさんが僕の展示に足を止めたことだ。
マネージャーさんは、開口一番、こう言った。
『構図が違う』
僕の作品を見て、この一言を言うのは、美大生と広告会社関係、ギャラリー関係の方がほとんどで、バンド関係はいっさいなかった。
マネージャーさんは、『うちのバンド、撮っていただけませんか？』と丁寧に話された。
スマフォでモスインライラックのPVを観て、曲を聴き、普通にかっこいいと思った。
実はあまり報告はしていなかったけれども、ときどき、ビッグサイトでゴスロリ系の女子が僕の作品に足を止めてくれていた。
彼女たちはなぜかとても華奢で、色白であり、愛らしい。ぱっと見、被写体としては申し分ないのだけれども、なぜかそれ以上に僕からは踏み込めなかった。
僕はマネージャーさんと別れてから、もう一度、自宅でゆっくりモスインライラックの映像や楽曲などをチェックし直した。
僕のサイトを見てる方はご存知のように、この手のロックはいつも写真のテーマに合わせて採用していない。
僕の写真にはやはり合わない。なので、僕は撮影について辞退しようかとちょっと考え込んだ、ということはいっさいなく、ぜひ、やってみたいと思った。
僕は音楽とは音がすべてだと思っている。
PVなど他の飾りはいっさい要らない。
楽曲を聴いて、ピンとくれば関心を持つし、ピンとこなければまるで無関心。こんな状況で、
モスインライラックの音楽を僕は何度も聴いて1回目の撮影に臨んだ。
CDやストリーミングなどとは異なり、実際のライブはグルーブ感がまるで違う。
バンドのうねりというのは、そう簡単には生み出せない。
白を黒に変色する力。これはそう簡単には表現できない。場数がすべてを支配する。そのぐらい書いても過言ではない。
役人の机上の論理がクソに思えるのはここにある。
日常の退屈を、一瞬で塗り替えることができる。これがバンドの存在意義だ。
退屈でなければ悲惨な事故や事件は減るだろう、僕はずっとこの考えを根底に持っている。
だからこそ、アートは大切なのだ。
だれかの悲しみや痛みを拭い、楽しさや元気に変える。
これが音楽であり、アートだと真剣に思う。
２０１９年１１月１日を持って、モスインライラックは休止する。
けれども、バンドのメンバーがそれぞれの意思を持って、活動し続けるようだ。
僕はこのバンドに関われて、とても光栄でした。
ライブハウス。ハコ。
ここからすべてが始まる。
昔、僕が知ってるミュージシャンがこう話していたことを今でも僕の胸に秘めている。

僕がこのバンドを知ったのは、最後の数ヶ月だけれども、出会えて、ほんとうによかったと思っています。

Imbrium Lunokhod Industries Model VS-M/S-71 'Degei' - The next evolution of the Imbrium Lunokhod Industries Frame System, the Degei takes the lessons learned during the development of the VS-A-GR5K 'Krivlyaka' and applies the well loved stylings that made the VS-MX-04 'Rangi' and the VS-M/A-Z9A 'Muku' such a success. The Degei is a versatile assault frame perfect for space-based interdiction and other zero-g tactical operations.
From a design perspective, the frame fits perfectly into the 7P scale and aligns with the desired aesthetic. Unfortunately, the thigh joints that worked so well on the Krivlyaka were very fragile when paired with a stiff ankle joint. Additionally, the design of the shoulder joint didn’t add enough range of motion to justify the parts usage. Finally, the hip/waist connection was too loose, even with a friction pin which made it difficult to find stable footing.
If I was going to revise this build, I think I would start with the ankles. A looser and more scale-conventional joint (using a pneuma-T or tap) would probably work better in the long run.

Shinjuku Gyo-en (新宿御苑) is a large park and garden in Shinjuku and Shibuya, Tokyo, Japan. It was originally a residence of the Naitō family in the Edo period. Afterwards, it became a garden under the management of the Imperial Household Agency of Japan. It is now a national park under the jurisdiction of the Ministry of the Environment.
History
The shōgun bequeathed this land to Lord Naitō (daimyō) of Tsuruga in the Edo period who completed a garden here in 1772. After the Meiji Restoration the house and its grounds were converted into an experimental agricultural centre. It then became a botanical garden before becoming an imperial garden in 1879. The current configuration of the garden was completed in 1906. Most of the garden was destroyed by air raids in 1945, during the later stages of World War II. The garden was rebuilt after the war.
The jurisdiction over the Imperial Palace Outer Garden and the Kyoto imperial garden was transferred to the Ministry of Health and Welfare (now part of the Ministry of Health, Labour and Welfare) in 1947.
On May 21, 1949, the garden became open to the public as a national park. It came under the jurisdiction of the Ministry of the Environment in January 2001, with the official English name "Shinjuku Gyoen National Garden". The official Japanese name remains Shinjuku Gyoen, where gyoen means "imperial garden".
In 1989, the Shinjuku Gyoen was the site chosen for the funeral rites of Emperor Shōwa before he was buried at the Musashi Imperial Graveyard.
Features
The garden, which is 58.3 hectares in area with a circumference of 3.5 km, blends three distinct styles: a French Formal and English Landscape in the north and to the south a Japanese traditional. A traditional Japanese tea house can be found within the gardens.
The garden is a favourite hanami (cherry-blossom viewing) spot, and large crowds can be present during cherry blossom season.
Flora
The garden has more than 20,000 trees, including approximately 1,500 cherry trees which bloom from late March (Shidare or Weeping Cherry), to early April (Somei or Tokyo Cherry), and on to late April (Kanzan Cherry). Other trees found here include the majestic Himalayan cedars, which soar above the rest of the trees in the park, tulip trees, cypresses, and plane trees, which were first planted in Japan in the Imperial Gardens.
Horticulture work has been going on in the greenhouses in the garden since 1892. The present greenhouse, built in the 1950s has a stock of over 1,700 tropical and subtropical plant species on permanent display.

The Deutsche Reichsbahn-Gesellschaft's BR 01 steam locomotives were the first standardised (Einheitsdampflokomotive) steam express passenger locomotives built by the unified German railway system. They were of 4-6-2 "Pacific" wheel arrangement in the Whyte notation, or 2′C1′ h2 in the UIC classification. The idea of standardisation was that it would reduce maintenance costs; i.e. if a BR 01 whose engine shop was in, say, Berlin broke down in Dresden, instead of having to ship the necessary part from Berlin and take the locomotive out of service, a part from the Dresden shop could be used as all of the engines, parts, and workings were exactly the same and produced nationwide. Thus it was a "standard" product for engine shops.
The firms of AEG and Borsig, who were the main manufacturers of these engines, together with Henschel, Hohenzollern, Krupp and BMAG previously Schwartzkopff, delivered a total of 231 examples of this Einheitsdampflokomotive between 1926 and 1938 for the fast passenger services of the Deutsche Reichsbahn.
To begin with, 10 locomotives of this class were built with two-cylinder engines for comparison purposes alongside a similar batch of 10 engines of their sister Class 02, which had four-cylinder compounding. Extensive measurement and trial runs were conducted, but after lengthy discussions the controversial decision finally fell in favour of the two-cylinder configuration, which was simpler to maintain but less powerful and less economical than the four-cylinder compounds.
The first Class 01 locomotive that went into service was not 01 001, but 01 008, which is preserved today in the Bochum-Dahlhausen Railway Museum. The mass production of Class 01s was somewhat delayed at first because in the 1920s there were neither enough routes with the necessary axle load of 20 tons nor sufficiently large turntables. Not until the beginning of the 1930s did the Class 01 become the predominant express train locomotive of the Deutsche Reichsbahn. By 1938 there were 231 Class 01 locomotives available for the prestigious express train duties. Another 10 four-cylinder Class 02 locomotives (01 111, 01 233–241) were converted to two-cylinder Class 01 models between 1937 to 1942. To accommodate for the many routes with axle load restrictions too low for Class 01 service, in the early 1930s, a third variant was created: the Class 03 designed with a two-cylinder engine and axle load of 18 ton, of which no less than 298 were built. Launched in 1939, the three-cylinder DRG Class 01.10 was a further development of the 01.
A total of five series or batches were delivered, each with minor variations: 01 001–010 (1926), 01 112–076 (1927–28), 01 077–101 (1930–31), 01 102–190 (1934–1936), 01 191–232 (1937–1938).
Even in the 1930s the employment of Class 01s was limited to the relatively few routes that had already been modified to take a 20 ton axle load. From Berlin outwards they were the Anhalt, Lehrte and Hamburg lines. The Berlin City Railway had first to be strengthened by reinforcing the viaduct arches. Up to 1930, the first 90 engines were stationed at the locomotive depots of Essen, Nuremberg, Erfurt P, Berlin Ahb, Hamm, Magdeburg Hbf, Kassel, Hanover, Hamburg Altona, Bebra and Offenburg. From 1931 they were also stabled at Frankfurt (M) 1, Berlin Leb, Braunschweig, Berlin Pog, Schneidemühl, Königsberg, Göttingen P, Paderborn, Dresden Alt, Breslau, Cologne Deutzerfeld, Hof and Halle P.
Originally, the Class 01's top speed was restricted to 120 km/h. In order to raise this to 130 km/h, the diameter of the leading wheels was changed from its original 850 mm to 1,000 mm on locomotives from operating number 01 102 onwards and brake effort was increased by installing double-sided working of the brake shoes on the coupled wheels and by braking the trailing wheels. The air and feed pumps were located in smokebox recesses behind the large Wagner smoke deflectors, which had been fitted from 01 077 onwards. (Earlier models were also refitted with Wagner type deflectors later). This made access to the pumps for maintenance purposes more difficult and later Einheitsloks had their pumps located in the middle of the vehicle on delivery. The Deutsche Bundesbahn converted their engines to the smaller Witte smoke deflectors and moved the pumps to the running board in the centre of the vehicle. The Deutsche Reichsbahn in East Germany shied away from such major changes to the load distribution, so that only minor modifications in appearance can be seen even in their last years.
From the third series (01 077 et seq.) the boilers were delivered with longer smoke tubes and thus a shorter firebox. All engines originally had a central lock for the smokebox door. The first locomotives had gas lighting on delivery; from 01 010 they had electrical lighting and the last few batches were given a third headlight.
The Class 01s were equipped with 2'2 T 30, 2'2' T 32 or 2'2' T 34 tenders. Their coal capacity was 10 tons of stone coal, and the water tank held either 30, 32 or 34 cubic metres of water. The prototype locomotives, 01 001 to 01 010, were supplied with the smaller 2'2 T 30 tenders, because there were not enough large turntables around. Later these tenders were only used if they were absolutely necessary, e.g. in cross-border services with the Netherlands. From the second series (01 012 et seq.) on, the Class 01 was furnished with rivetted 2'2' T 32 tenders. The welded tenders, class 2'2' T 34, appeared only by way of exchange (mainly from brand new Class 44) locomotives. Thereafter they were almost the only ones used during the war years and after the Second World War, because they had a larger water capacity.
Class 01 locomotives remained in service with the Deutsche Bundesbahn until 1973. In the DR, they were still working up to the early 1980s, largely in their original state with large smoke deflectors. They were legendary in their last years for hauling the D-Zug services on the Berlin-Dresden route up to autumn 1977. Only when the large Soviet DR Class 132 diesel locomotives arrived, the Class 01 express train locomotives were finally forced out of scheduled services in the GDR after almost 50 years.
Commentary.
Ocean, land, harbour – an unusual configuration.

In this scene, looking west, Tayvallich is one of very few east-facing villages on the majestic western seaboard.
A strip of land shelters the multifarious blue, yellow, white and red craft from the Atlantic elements.
Uncommercialised, unspoilt Tayvallich in early morning reflects the land and water dwellings in a crystal-clear symmetry.
Loch Melfort, Crinan, Tayvallich, Ardfern and Craobh Haven are hidden jewels in an immensely fractured, twisting and convoluted coastline.
With island vistas and visits to Islay, Jura, Scarba, Luing, Seil, Kerrera and Lismore these cosy, calm and peaceful harbours
act as perfect sanctuaries to the incredible sea-kingdom of Dalriada.

Completely redesigned suspension, both front and rear. The angle of rotation of the wheels has become larger, the rear axle is now on shock absorbers. The car was lower and much wider. HOG is still on the roof, the steering wheel is also turning.
Instead of the stock four-cylinder engine, a Biturbo V8 appeared. A radiator and battery were added under the hood.
The cabin has a different dashboard, monitor, hydraulic arm, sports seat and, most importantly, the frame.
With the help of details and stickers, a livery was created in a classic retro style.

Henry Seagrave won the 1929 Motor Boat Championship of the World in Miss England. In the contest, the boat's single Napier Lion engine and light structure outstripped the twin pro engines of the reigning champion, Miss America VII. This gave Segrave the victory, but not the world water speed record, which remained with his American rival, Gar Wood.
Using contemporary aircraft techniques and a new, more scientific hull design, the Power Boat Company built Miss England. An aircraft that had competed in the Schneider Trophy air-speed contest supplied her engine. The high-speed planing hulls led to motor torpedo boats (MTBs) and patrol vessels used by British forces during the Second World War.
The Napier Lion was a 12-cylinder, petrol-fuelled 'broad arrow' W12 configuration aircraft engine built by D Napier & Son from 1917 until the 1930s. A number of advanced features made it the most powerful engine of its day and kept it in production long after other contemporary designs had been superseded. This particular supercharged model, the VIIA, produced in 1927, developed 900 bhp when racing.

The views from Horta de Sant Joan are impressive, especially towards the east, with the Ports de Tortosa cliffs. But among them all, the Muntanya de Santa Bárbara (751 m,) stands out, with the old convent of Sant Salvador d'Horta at its feet.
