HUNTSHAM VILLAGE CHILDRENS FUN DAY COMPETITION ENTRIES 17.10.2003
Organised by Cathy Cross and assisted by parents and village hall committee members, the children’s fun day proved to be a great success. Apart from a barbecue and hilarious games in glorious weather, in which adults and children alike were involved, an art/poetry competition with a village theme, organised by Lindsay Wall of Huntsham Society, was also run for the children. Having few entries, all the contestants were congratulated, as they were, in the judges opinion, ‘all very, very, good, and all deserved to win’, which surely embraces the theme of a ‘fun day’! Being the first fun day for children, it is hoped that the success can be repeated, and many more will follow.
The winners were as follows:
ART
HA147 ‘Huntsham Post Office’ Shaun Pierce (14) 13-14 age group
HA148 ‘Huntsham War Memorial’ Rob Cross (10) 10-12 age group
HA149 ‘Huntsham Triangle’ Jay Cross (8) 8-9 age group
HA150 ‘Huntsham Court’ Jez Cross (6) 5-7 age group
HA151 ‘Huntsham Church’ Emily Bayliss (4) under 5 age group
