My friend Dwayne owns a shop selling skates as well as teaching skating classes. To promote his various interests he held a power-sliding competition in Weinan, Shaanxi, China.
I took along a couple of YN460 strobes, my 5D Mark II , 24-105mm F4 and my 135L.
It was very crowded which made getting good shots tough, especially with the longer 135L.

The Phillip A. Connelly Competition was established in 1968 to recognize excellence in Army Food Service. During the Reserve and National Guard categories, one meal (lunch) is evaluated consisting of line item A-rations. Winners of the Regional competition will move on to the national level. The FIA European Rally Championship – the oldest international rally series in the world – which will be contested over eight events in 2018 from April to October .
The Cyprus Rally is a rallying competition held yearly in Cyprus since 1970. The event is run by the Cyprus Automobile Association and is based in the city of Larnaca.
It is run on the winding roads of the nearby mountains of Troodos. It was part of the FIA's World Rally Championship (WRC) from 2000 to 2006. In 2007 and 2008 the event was part of the FIA Middle East Rally Championship. The Cyprus Rally rejoined the WRC in 2009, taking advantage of the new regulations to become the only mixed surface event.
Surfing competition held in Dominica 2010 between surfing clubs from Martinque and Gaudeloupe. Great vibe and a fun day.

The two flowers that graced my loss in the concerto competition. I took this with one overhead light. The blue backdrop was by accident, completely natural. The window across the room to the outside world had blue tones because of the rain. The picture made itself. I have a tonemapped version from Photomatix, but the contrast on the flowers themselves just isn't there; I think I messed up in shadow saturation/shadow clipping?
