28mm lens comparison
10 lenses, 8 with 28 mm focal length, one with 24 mm and one with 29 mm.

As a Pentax lens with a "*" this should be a very good one, but somehow it hasn't a good reputation amoung digital photographers. Photozone gives only 2 from 5 points for the optics.

Low-budget kit lens in analog times. I must admit, that it is my best AF full-frame mid-range zoom lens, and I use it when image quality doesn't matter, e.g family meetings :)

These two Porst are looking pretty much the same, but the optics are different. Would be interesting which is the better one, the one with 6 or with 8 elements.
Hanimex HMC Wide Angle Lens 2.8/28

I and some other people have already experiences with this lens, and so I predict that it will be the worst lens of this comparison. I has a KA-mount, which is somewhat rare on third-party lenses, and the Ricoh P-mount; the "Ricoh-pin" is removed of course.

Cute little lens with a humble appearance. It should be a very old version, without EBC and with a silver aperture ring. The front element has a lot of tiny scratches. The f/3.5 version was the only 28 mm Fuji offered for their M42 cameras.

Depois que tirei a roupa fiquei tão assustado com o tamanho do Ken, porque eu sempre achei os taes gigantes e enormes e maiores que tudo, dai me vem o Ken não só maior em peso e volume corpóreo (kkkkkk) mas também bem mais alto! A roupa ficou sambando, mas isso fica para depois! E o que o Fred ta fazendo ai??? Comparando os corpos oras u-u Não resisti, depois que botei as cuecas lembrei que o Fred tinha uma cueca!*-* Meus putos lindos!*-* O Rei dos Putos, o PrÃncipe Puto e o Cafetão dos Anos 50 *-* (apanha)

...size comparison with LEGO Classic Town vehicles.
It was on my list for years to build a 5-wide, two minifigure light tank. A tank small enough to fit in with the 4-wide vehicles of a LEGO Classic Town setting.
This idea became these three vehicles, the LTS-1 (Light Tank System One) series: Two LTS-1R Recon Light Tanks and a LTS-1M Missile Tank. They turned out a bit too tall to look realistic, but fit in rather nicely with the tall and slim Classic Town vehicles.
These are obviously not modelled on any real life vehicles. But some inspiration was taken from the British CRV(T) series and the wheel setup turned out almost Tetrarch simple. The missile turret is a bit GI Joe Wolverine styled.
A Comparison of the Wright Gemini 2 and Gemini 3 double deck bodies can be seen here on Waterloo Bridge. Go-Ahead London General's WHV154 (BV66 VLC) is a Volvo B5LH/Wright Gemini 3 and is seen here overtaking Arriva London's DW469 (LJ61 CDE) a Wrightbus Gemini 2 integral.
I had to post this too, because it suddenly made me laugh.

I finally got these pics taken and photoshopped them a bit. Sorry for the bad lighting and weird poses, Deven didn't really appreciate switching bodies. :'D
So this is a small comparison of how the DollClans Kien head looks on three different bodies. From the right: Granado 64cm, normal yellow; Crobidoll R-line (66cm), normal skin; Distant Memory (65cm), normal skin. Unfortunately this doesn't show the height differences, but if someone wishes to see that, I can take more pics. :3
The Granado body is somewhat darker than the head, but goes nicely with the head otherwise and a bit of extra blush hides the colour difference. The Crobi is sort of ok and the Distant Memory doesn't match at all, plus the neck looks far too long. :P
Basically I think any of these bodies could probably be modified to look good with the head, but the Granado body is pretty much the only one that matches both colour wise and proportionally.
Oh, and I had also thought of trying the head on a Crobidoll B-line body, but the neck is too thick. :< Could probably be modded to fit, but I think the head would look too tiny in that body.
The differences are most apparent in this view with the SA1 to the left and SA3 to the right. Both had front doors that were sealed shut. Those on the SA3 being a folding design rather than sliding, which enabled a nearly flush panel to be fitted. All the SAs spent their working lives at Ilford, mostly on routes 691 and 693.

Here’s a comparison of the Nikon 8-15 zoom at 12mm with the Rokinon 12mm. Both lenses were set to f/8. I chose an indoor view to illustrate the curvature effect and to show how Adobe Camera Raw can correct for some of this, while causing other distortions.
First, you can see that the Rokinon fills the frame, while the Nikon doesn’t reach the corners. But the Nikon has a wider field of view than the Rokinon. You can see this by comparing the edges. Horizontally, the Nikon retains its 180 degree fov.
Notice that, although straight lines appear curved, circles still appear normal (see track lights, wall art). And although ACR (bottom images) can correct for straight-line curvature, it changes circles into ovals and creates other distortions. With 100 percent correction, the chairs in foreground become chaise lounges. So you can pick your distortion, but you can’t eliminate all of it.
Landscapes, which don’t contain many straight lines, are more forgiving to fisheye curvature. Even when you notice the effect, if used properly it can reinforce the impact of an image. And it’s possible to make less drastic corrections in ACR or in Photoshop with the warp editing tool.
Both lenses, by the way, are very sharp, even wide open. And the Rokinon, at f/2.8, beats the Nikon, which is f/3.5-4.5, at gathering the light.

The rarest of starfighter class, the Strike Fighter is equipped with the freedom of Faster-Than-Light travel, giving it a unique tactical advantage over most fightercraft.
With no need for a carrier, Strike Fighters can respond to threats quickly and independently. This capability has made them perfect for operations in the lawless Outer Rim territories, where various Sol governments have colonial and business interests but no military infrastructure to rely on.
They are better armed than their carrier-based counterparts, with heavier shields to boot. With such capability comes a hefty price tag and costly maintenance budgets. The loss of just one of these ships, as well as it's usually elite pilots, is seen as a grave event. Many a commander has been demoted for frivolous risk of their strike fighter assets. The protection afforded these ships and their crews has led to a irate rivalry from regular pilots.
The British Albacore is the better shielded, quickest of the three pictured. The Tomcat is the best armed and most nimble. The Caracan features better armour and a sturdy construction all around. Each class is operational in the Galactic Rim, though rarely seen by civilian traffic. The Black Moon Union pirate group once took down two Tomcats (at the cost of 26 of their own ships). They rarely shut up about it.

Cleverly, Nottingham City Transport E400 City 433 had been parked alongside Nottingham Heritage Vehicles Leyland Atlantean 433 at Autokarna 2018. This provided the perfect opportunity to compare the two.
So I decided to do a little comparison between the different minifee bodies before I sand the shoulders on my motion line to be more rounded. I hope this helps you guys to have a better chance of deciding which bodies to get if you are new to minifees or may need to add some more to your crew in the future :)
The busts the girls are wearing are Cutie bust, Large bust and Full bust x2. I do have Small bust and Glamour as well as the fairyline boy bust too but I didn't think they were important for the general body overview. This is also not a pose off, just an overall look ^^

IHAGEE DRESDEN EXA, EXATA VAREX VX comparison.
Exakta Varex VX Version 1 1951
After some TLC this baby is shine and smell good! The German beauty featured in "The Rear Window". Compare to the IHAGEE DRESDEN EXA, EXATA VAREX VX is a big brother. The camera is bigger, more complicated and better build. The nice thing is it has a knife build in to cut film :-). So awesome!
I did a quick Bokeh comparison between the cheap Canon 50mm f1.8 stm lens and the amazing Sigma 50-100mm f1.8 Art lens. My conclusion is that I am very happy to see that the pretty expensive Sigma is significantly better in all areas, especially bokeh!

wow this figure is WAY better than the other one from supermc toys: the body is very well done, there are a TON of accessories, and the faces look more like the animation. i don't regret getting both figs, but the YR one is going to be the actual teenage Miles with the other teenage dolls.
NOTE: the cocky smile face doesn't come together with the worried face. i had to get the happy face parted out from the battle suit fig.
i still like the larger one, with his worried expression and his soft hair... not sure if he will be a grown-up Miles, or might become someone else.
NOTE: the body you see in my pics with the supermc head is not the supermc body. not sure of the brand but i did already swap him to a slimmer body when i first got him. (the supermc body went to T'challa)
Born Lourens Tadema (Alma being his middle name) in Dronryp, Friesland, to Pieter Tadema, a notary, and his second wife Hinke Brouwer - from an early age Alma-Tadema showed artistic ability and the beginnings of his highly methodical and exacting nature as demonstrated in his subsequent paintings. He only adopted the now familiar form of his name after moving to London in 1870.
At the age of 16 Alma-Tadema enrolled at the Antwerp Academy where he studied under Gustav Wappers and Nicaise de Keyser, both exponents of the Romantic movement in art. Later he became an assistant to the historical painter Baron Hendryk Leys whilst living in the house of an archaeologist, Louis de Taye. From these two men he began to develop his interest in history and archaeology, which was further developed by contact with the German Egytologist, Georg Ebers. He assisted Leys in painting historical murals in Antwerp's Town Hall.
His early works depicted the history of the Merovingian dynasty, rulers of Gaul from the 6th to 8th centuries AD. However, having visited the International Exhibition in London in 1862, he became inspired by the Elgin Marbles and Egyptian artefacts in the British Museum, leading him to turn ever more towards Egyptian themes.
In 1863 he married a French woman, Marie Pauline Gressin de Boisgirard, and they honeymooned in Italy where he encountered the newly-found ruins of Pompeii. So fascinated was he by the Roman remains with their abundance of marble that very quickly ancient Roman subject matter came to the fore in his paintings.
The Tademas soon moved to Paris where Lourens entered into a long-term contract with the well-known art dealer Ernest Gambart, an influential man with connections throughout Europe. Within a short time he relocated his studio to Brussels.
But in the 1860s, tragedy struck: his only son dying of smallpox in 1865 and his wife in 1869, leaving him to care for his two daughters Anna and Laurence. But fortune in his career followed swiftly and, in the same year, two of his paintings - A Roman Art Lover and Phyrric Dance - were exhibited at the Royal Academy in London.
So well were his paintings received overall that, upon visiting England the same year to see a doctor, and in part due to the possible Prussian invasion of France, Alma-Tadema moved his home to London in 1870.
The following year he married his seventeen-year-old pupil, Laura Epps, a doctor's daughter and member of a then well-known family of cocoa manufacturers. In 1873 he became a naturalized British citizen, at the same time consciously joining his middle name, Alma, to his surname. The hyphenation was in fact done by others and this has since become the convention. It also had the fortuitous 'side-effect' of elevating his name to a top position in alphabetical catalogues!
Soon after marriage, the Tademas moved from a rented home in Camden Square to Townshend House, near Regent's Park. Elegant and cosmopolitan in decor, their home soon became a popular venue for gatherings of fellow artists. Fame and prosperity soon followed and in 1876 Alma-Tadema became an Associate of the Royal Academy, being elected to a full Royal Academician in 1879. The Grosvenor Gallery staged an exhibition of 287 of his paintings in 1882. He had become one of the most famous painters in Britain.
'Building' on this success, Alma-Tadema drew up plans for a more spectacular home - the building for which he found in St John's Wood. In fact it was the former home of French artist James Tissot that had been abandoned after the death of his mistress, Kathleen Newton. It was then fairly modest but had a number of classical features that appealed to him (such as the famous colonnade beside a garden pond, which featured in several of Tissot's canvases). However Alma-Tadema made it into almost a palace, designing every detail himself - from the weather vane in the form of an artist's palette and the doorway modelled on one from Pompeii, to the rainspouts in the form of lions' heads. The hall was lined with panels painted by fellow artists and the enormous galleried and marble-floored studio was crowned with a polished aluminium dome - the brightness of the light it reflected noticeably affected his paintings from then on.
Both of his London homes were famous for their extravagant parties, often in fancy dress - the artist himlself having a predilection for dressing as Nero - and where music was always a feature. Distinguished guests included personalities such as Tchaikovsky and Enrico Caruso.
Alma-Tadema received awards and honours from around the world, although notably not from his own country of birth - including a knighthood from Britain in 1899 followed by the prestigious Order of Merit in 1905. His clients included members of the British Royal family and the Russian Imperial Family - he was in fact a noted Society portraitist. Indeed approximately 60 of his 400 plus paintings are commissioned portraits of sitters ranging from the British Prime Minister Arthur Balfour to the Polish pianist and Prime Minister Paderewski.
By the time of his death in 1912 at the German spa of Wiesbaden, he was so famous an artist that the British 'establishment' saw fit for him to be buried in St Paul's Cathedral. Soon afterwards, his famous house and contents were sold - the house being converted into apartments, leaving few of the splended architectural details.
