Universal Pooyan bodies remind me a lot of Integrity Jem, so I took a comparison shot (and added my japanese Amelie in the mix ^^)

Jem bodies are nice, and I like their uniqueness. The torsos look great, like a mix between the Brides and FR². But if I had to change something it would be the legs : their poseability is very limited, the knees are not pivotal, and it makes them more rigid than other Integrity dolls.

I like that their feet are Monster High size, but they look a little strange with these extra long toes, and because of that they can't wear all the shoes I'd like.

I like the Universal Pooyan optional legs better, they're so well articulated with a very nice range. (On a side note the regular legs are much more limited and are more like Jem. It takes a lot off the doll's poseability)

The arched feet are my favorite, the sculpt is very nice, stylized and realistic at the same time, and can wear much more shoes than Jem.

The torso can move up and down, but also left and right, which is a big plus in my book, and shows it is possible.

The plastic used for the body has a very nice and solid feel, and almost all the parts can be removed.

The arms are very defined, which is unusual for a fashion doll and gives them an action figure look. But the body is still very feminine.

I'd love to see these bodies manufactured in different skintones in the future! ;)

Quick body comparison of my Growin’ Pretty Hair Francie and some similar sized bodies including a headless repro Francie. The repro Francie has much shorter arms than my vintage Francie and the legs are longer than vintage francie so it’s not the best kind of reproduction.

But then again I don’t know if Growin Pretty Hair Francie’s body is dramatically different than regular Francie bodies so idk.

2 shots to compare my Fuji HS10 with the Fuji HS50 EXR which I bought this spring.

1st shot is from HS10.......2nd from HS50.

I've used the HS50 long enough now to know it's not operator error. The IS and the AF are simply not as good. I have not gotten one shot with the same clarity as the HS 10.

Buying a new camera is a crap shoot. In all my research, I didn't see one word about this

problem.

I took along a Canon Sure Shot Z135 to not only compare the two cameras, but also to get some color images.

Pentax IQ Zoom 120SW on the left, and Canon Sure Shot Z135 on the right. Both cameras show little distortion, but the Canon has a much better record when it comes to exposures.

Biggest fault of the Pentax is the metering. Even with 400 speed film, I was getting too many under exposures. On a bright sunny day, it did very well, but once it was overcast, the Pentax was very hit-or-miss.

There is also the issue of whether it focuses well at infinity. I would get the flashing indicator by the viewfinder, and then hit the AF button to turn on the Infinity Focus program. You can't tell the difference, as far as I'm concerned. And the feature shuts back off after you take the exposure, so you have to turn it back on with every shot. This could get really annoying if trying to go for a 360 degree panorama, and keeping your horizon line in place, because the button is on the top of the camera, nestled close to two other buttons. This means you have to lower the camera to see if you actually have the Infinity Lock on.

I thought that this camera was a Panoramic mode only, until I just found the P button on the bottom of the camera. Oh well, that happens when you can't find a manual. I realy like the idea of a 28-120mm lens in a small package. It is pocketable, but there is a lens bulge, unlike with the Canon Sure Shot 120 Classic that retracted the lens completely into the camera body. But then it was a bigger camera, so it had the room.

I wanted to see the difference between DNGs from my iPhone X and RAFs from my Fujifilm X100V. So I created this side-by-side with the X100V on the left and iPhone X on the right.

Height comparison: MTM Barbie, Pippi Longstocking, Curvy Barbie.

For Blackwolf. The batman and Azrael are the sane height. The warrior is so you can see where the heads would line up with just the neck armor. But Azraels head is higher because the hood wouldn't fit with the neck armor.

This is a set of pictures I was thinking of making since several months ago. I wanted to create a line-up of my sister's and my own dolls, but something different from your usual comparison pictures.

Basic Unit of Measurement: Pukipuki/Obitsu 11cm.

Something completely different from me today - a slideshow that shows color and black & white versions of some of my older and more recent work next to each other. I am looking forward to reading your feedback. I only hope that FlickR doesn't compress the heck out of this little slideshow.

This is my second upload today btw - something I rarely do. You might want to check out the other one, too.

Enjoy!
