beautiful light and a little frost can even make a grill cover look pretty. Sometimes you just have to look on the brighter side in this frigid weather :)

It`s 11 degrees with a wind chill of -5 degrees. We still have to waik. Lizzie hates the sweater, but she`s a dog and I`m the mother. Happy furry Friday

Even though the wind was gusting up to 45 MPH and blowing snow like crazy, it was just another day on the farm, Highland Farms in Cornish that is.

the skies look absolutely stunning from up there, innit? They sure do ... but the air trips are so boring.

Today was a hibernation day and it ended with a very pretty sunset.

Photographed a bit earlier than the previous post from this location and also from the other side, looking north-east here. It was a very cold evening with some gusts too. The Black Rock Canal pictured here was fully frozen without a doubt but the mighty Niagara River did not even think about that and seemed to defy physics with the temperatures bouncing between 0°F and 20°F for several weeks.

Here's the later photo heading south-east where the cloud layer picked up a brief moment of light and color from the already invisible sun: Warm Look for Cold Winter.

October fog over Glasgow and normally a fantastic view of the skyline here... but not today!

I did not take many photographs today [11-11-2019] as it was too cold for me.

I do not know why this installation featuring two bronze women and their shopping is located near the Halfpenny Bridge but I do know that it is known locally as "The Hags With The Bags". It might even be an advertisement from Arnotts which is nearby [see the bags].

It has taken me many years to find its official name and the name of the artist. It is “The Meeting Place Statue” and it was sculpted by Jakki McKenna in 1988. As a matter of interest the Bronze Cow near the Jervis Shopping Centre was created Jackki McKenna ... I really like it.

Jackie McKenna is known throughout Ireland for her many public sculpture commissions. For many years, until around 2005, McKenna focused on commissioned sculptures. She has done a number of sculptures in public view and enjoys the conversations and criticisms that occur as a result. She is a co-founder of the Leitrim Sculpture Centre in Manorhamilton.

January 2009 Waterfall outside of my classroom at Forsyth Country Day School was frozen.

Soothing sight needed as we were confined indoors by rain. We haven't seen rain for months so have forgotten how to cope!. It did try to sleet but thankfully thought better of it. The south sides now have pockmarks of land showing through - the north sides are still pristine white.

Smoke On The Water...

Trying to catch the train, by a winter day...

It snowed for a while around noon hour, so I tried shooting some more snow. The condition was perfect. It was below -8C and not overly windy. I shot all of these on a laser disc in my garden shed and am happy with the results
