We were able to spend a few days enjoying the beautiful winter in Leavenworth, Washington this week. I sure enjoyed getting out taking pictures in the snow.
I did not take many photographs today [11-11-2019] as it was too cold for me.
I do not know why this installation featuring two bronze women and their shopping is located near the Halfpenny Bridge but I do know that it is known locally as "The Hags With The Bags". It might even be an advertisement from Arnotts which is nearby [see the bags].
It has taken me many years to find its official name and the name of the artist. It is “The Meeting Place Statue” and it was sculpted by Jakki McKenna in 1988. As a matter of interest the Bronze Cow near the Jervis Shopping Centre was created Jackki McKenna ... I really like it.
Jackie McKenna is known throughout Ireland for her many public sculpture commissions. For many years, until around 2005, McKenna focused on commissioned sculptures. She has done a number of sculptures in public view and enjoys the conversations and criticisms that occur as a result. She is a co-founder of the Leitrim Sculpture Centre in Manorhamilton.
It was some brutally frigid weather at Molas lake, perhaps too cold to be in the lake, but these 2 hearty people didn't care

Cold, late December afternoon at my favorite location, Røsholmstranda.
After a heavy snowfall last week, the real cold temperatures came in this week. Typical late December weather here in southern Norway. Add a full moon to that and you get temps below -20 degrees Celsius.
I hope everyone's had a great Christmas and I wish you all the best for 2010. Another decade has passed.
Thanks for looking!

Long Pond, Parsonsfield, Maine.
The hard winter freeze has come to Parsonsfield over the past few day's bringing record setting cold and strong North West winds.
Wind blown water spray on Long Pond has created many ice formations along the eastern shoreline.

Today was one of those Monday's where everyone in the office, myself included, seemed to be a bad mood. I guess everyone woke up on the wrong side of the bed and it made for a very long day.
Oh well; one day done and four more to go. I still haven't heard back from the people regarding my French training which is supposed to start tomorrow. I asked for morning classes and they've once again scheduled me for afternoon's so I'm debating not even bothering this time around. I hate afternoon classes, my brain functions better in the morning and has this annoying habit of shutting down by 1:30, so really the afternoon classes are a waste for me.
Hope everyone has had a good day.

I love long exposures, everything to do with night time, the dark, sunrise and sunset.
I like to take pictures mainly at night , sometimes during the day and in dull and fading light and I will sometimes display the time and date the picture was taken too.
I tend to take pictures of Light trails, Motorway traffic, Street lights, Buildings, Landscapes, Bokeh, Night bokeh and Hexagonal Night Bokeh in England.
All of my pictures are 100% natural and untouched in every way without ever been Photo shopped or altered or messed about with in anyway whatsoever, No multi layered photography, No HDR's and No image manipulation of any kind, all of my pictures look just the way they did when I saw them at the time of taking and I'm VERY PROUD of that.
I don't do any photo processing at all, I don't even own any photo software.
All of my starbursts are all 100% natural without using any filters or anything else, as is all my bokeh, night bokeh and hexagonal night bokeh, its all natural, no funny gimmicks at all.
I don't do anything with my pictures apart from take them and then upload them , 99.99999% of my pictures don't even get cropped , they are all 100% natural and untouched and then uploaded.
All of my pictures are copy right, © All rights reserved, you MAY NOT use any of my pictures without my written consent, you also MAY NOT change, alter, adjust or rearrange my pictures in anyway what so ever.
