Cold sunset:

It was only 26°F at sunset today ans as soon as the sun set it dropped to 16°F, it could go down to 6°F by morning.

I realized the picture was tightly framed after I took it. The young girl had just thrown up a snow ball and kicked it in the air before I clicked the shutter. Still I kept this shot because it looks like one of the photos in a clothing ad catalog.

Bright, sunny yet bitterly cold and windy. Took pictures through the window.

This sign is on the street where I live.

if you have time do have a look at the bigger sizes....

My first morning in Istanbul *first impression

Istanbul Turkiye is home to bad traffic jams and worse driving. Turkey has 14 times more accidents than the UK – Albeit with little improvement since larger fines and better enforcement of road rules have been inmposed, driving in the city proper is not recommended to tourists.** Turning indicators are still rarely used, ...drivers almost never stop at pedestrian crossings ..and tailgating is standard, with racing along the coastal strip on the Asian side leading to deaths despite a government campaign. Therefore it is not advisable for foreigners to drive in Istanbul unless strictly necessary...

Shooting outside on the streets of Toronto in our TOAST SNOW SKIRTS. Movie of the Week THEN AGAIN.

the audience overhead gets a compelling vista for free, with music. not so easy to direct the funds to the band though.

i left when it was snowin n dark , but you will always remain in my heart ....

it was a wonderful week in the snow ^^

Enjoy =P

It was a cold, windy night, and this pair of friends or brothers put up their hoods, then stuffed their hands into the pockets of their camouflage jackets, as they walked down the street. I'm not sure if they were really in a hurry, or if it was the cold that gave their steps an apparent urgency. I saw them, got one shot of them--and they were gone!

They're wearing different patterns of fatigue, but I'm not familiar enough with military camouflage clothing to know the specifics and occasions which require their use. In terms of these young men, there's obviously no way of knowing whether either or both of these young men is/has been a member of the military. What I do know is that there is a very muscular recruitment campaign for young Latinos. Along with that, the lack of jobs in the civilian sector makes a military career all the more attractive.

In terms of wearing warm coats--of any variety--we're experiencing a "cold snap" in New York City at the moment, so everyone is getting their winter gear out. No real snow, yet, though...
